Thank God my Clash magazine came in the mail and I happened to read that Razorlight released a new album in the UK almost 2 months ago on Nov. 3rd! How did this escape my radar I love this band?!

Razorlight released their third studio album, Slipway Fires, on November 3rd 2008 with the lead single, "Wire To Wire", being released on October 20th 2008.

The band have confirmed that the next single to be taken from Slipway Fires will be "Hostage of Love"; it is due to be released on January 12th 2009.

You can navigate the entire website while watching all their videos. Yes some parts may be hard to read and it might not be crawler friendly, but it's a cool concept.

The second I hit the website, I was hooked by the music and Johnny Borrell! If you have never seen them live, seriously their live performances are over-the-top amazing, think freddie mercury.

Can someone please tell me when this album is coming out in the U.S.? I can't find any site online reporting this info. If they no longer have a U.S. label, I would be happy to release and market this ablum. It is an absolute must buy not-to-mention the band rules the school live!

One of my favorite musicians on the planet, Rob Dickinson, The former Catherine Wheel frontman, still remains one of the most criminally overlooked forces in music. Many will recall Britain's Catherine Wheel as one of the most range-roaming, seminal and viscerally intense alternative rock bands of the '90's: "Eat my dust, you insensitive fuck," purred silky vocalist Rob Dickinson on the band's 1994 release HappyDays.

Dickinson is re-releasing his debut solo album, Fresh Wine For The Horses, which will come as a two-disc set with the Nude EP on June 10. The album itself will come with the brand new song, "The End Of The World," which is classic Rob.

The second disc is a six track EP of freshly recorded Catherine Wheel classics that you will get to hear in their acoustic glory. He still remains one of the most criminally overlooked forces in music, but perhaps 2008 will bring him the recognition that he deserves.

The Daylights did 20+ dates with OneRepublic earlier this year and plan on going back out on the road this summer/fall. There music has been placed in video games, movies, commercials, TV shows, etc. They have been signed to a major but are now a free agent. Michael Johns on American Idol

I played a Michael Johns song in February 2005 on Podcast #5 called "Statues" but at that time his band was called The Rising. The band signed to Maverick in 2001 but their debut album, Future Unknown, was never released. Now you can listen to The Rising and buy the album on iTunes.

In October 2006 Michael Johns released his self-titled debut solo album that is best described as "rock with soul" independently. It used to be available for purchase on iTunes but has since been taken down.

Johns auditioned for American Idol in San Diego and is now one of the Top 11 finalists. Watch Michael sing Bohemian Rhapsody below. Cowell honored him with the "best audition of the day" and Seacrest "potentially the best so far", which was the most positive feedback at this stage in the game ever received.

His top 24 performance of Light My Fire earned him praise as a "true legend rock performer" when Jackson compared him to Michael Hutchence and Cowell added that he has the "natural charisma of a lead singer".
