Rev-up those engines and get set to join Mickey and his pals on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Road Rally, the exciting, brand-new, full-length adventure from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment that is set to debut on both DVD and TV (Disney Channel 7:00 p.m. ET/PT) on September 7, 2010. 

The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Road Rally DVD will be available at retail for the suggested retail price of $26.99 in the US and $29.99 in Canada and feature two new exciting bonus features – Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Pluto Lends a Paw (a never-before-seen bonus episode) and Discovery Mode Interactive Play Feature (a new interactive bonus feature that engages kids to watch and play alongside their favorite Disney characters).

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Road Rally takes preschoolers and their parents for a dazzling voyage through sandy deserts, snow-covered mountains and lush tropical jungles when the Clubhouse gang (Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Daisy, etc.) set out to participate in the first annual Road Rally. The goal of the Rally is to follow a prescribed route comprised of four stops, and seek the specially hidden “Mickey Markers” along the course.  Once all the clues are uncovered and all the “Mickey Markers” are found, they finally make a mad dash back to the Clubhouse in a race to the finish.

With pit stops, break downs and mess-ups along the way, the Road Rally is not an easy ride. Mickey and his pals encounter all sorts of obstacles, including a mountain of rubber duckies, a sand covered road, and a broken down bridge.  No matter what the hold up or who gets to the finish line first, the gang’s first priority is to find time to help each other and enjoy the spirit of competition.

My thoughts…My.Son.LOVES.this.DVD. I’m not kidding you. Maybe it’s the age, but ALL he can say these days is “mickey mouse c’lubhouse” really fast. I can’t type how he says it…but it’s cute. My kids are great with interacting with DVD’s and this one is no exception. I believe we’ve played this dvd about 12,326 times since we’ve received it. It literally has been on everyday since we’ve received it.

The dvd is a little different than if you’ve seen the cartoon/show on tv because Mouse-ka-tool has a face now and talks. It was kind of sad because at a couple of points during the dvd Goofy’s rescue truck kept helping out more than Mouse-ka-tool was and he  got sad and left the gang. Oops…I don’t want to give it all away…It’s a GREAT – MUST have dvd!

First off, I want to say…these are some of the tips I used for this years Disney trip and some you could use your way. Some I’ve learned from my parents and my hubby’s parents. I did a lot of research (which does pay off). However, our trip wasn’t cheap…I tried to save money any way I could based on what we wanted to do: We wanted to stay on site at Disneyland and stay for a week (5 days). I am however including other additional ways you could save. Our future trips won’t be as long, etc, etc…

-To SAVE money on hotel/lodging, you could stay at a NON-Disney hotel, off the park AND save more money. I did not look into this option as much as the Disney Hotel pricing because I knew we weren’t going to use that option this time. However, when you get pricing from the Disneyland site, it did include pricing for NON-Disney hotels and it was much cheaper. The NON-Disney hotels also tend to offer a FREE/Continental Breakfast which will help SAVE you money. One LESS meal you have to purchase. There are even Hotels off-site that offer “Happy Hour” times and serve little appetizers for FREE, which if you wanted make it into a meal (this tip: thanks to my MIL).

-TO SAVE money on eating/meals, you could bring your own, such as: box(es) of cereal, bananas, other breakfast foods. You could also bring your own snacks into the park to cut down on costs. And bring your own lunch or go off-site and eat at McDonald’s, Burger King, etc. They do offer a few healthy options now.

When we were at Disney recently, we would purchase the kids meals for our kiddos. Sometimes we had them split one, because they would not eat as much. And then some of the other times, we would get each of them a meal and then they could have the rest as a snack or as their dinner.

-If you think you’ll need a stroller BRING your OWN, if you have room. Otherwise it costs $15.00 per day for one stroller or $25.00 for 2 strollers.

-If you want Disney Souvenirs, go to your local Disney Store or Disney Outlet and wait for sales or buy the items little by little. I took a couple of trips to our Disney Outlet Store. When I was there, I’d stock up on Disney PJ’s, shoes, swimsuits, t-shirts, anything you would like. ALL at a discount!

The very special outdoor premiere of Disney’s All-New Movie Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue was screened for more than 1,000 families in the local Los Angeles area.   The event featured a dozen of L.A.’s most popular food trucks, including Top Chef alum Brian Hill’s gourmet food truck,  along with a bevy of  activity  stations for the kids – including face painting, Tink tattoos, coloring stations and Radio Disney, who  emceed the event.   All fairy attendees received Tinker Bell blankets, Tinker Bell glow sticks, Fairy wings and enjoyed many Fairy activities.

Tinker Bell, the world’s favorite fairy, will be spreading her magic for audiences of all ages, as the worlds of fairies and humans converge for the very first time in Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue.  An all-new original full-length CG animated film featuring breathtaking animation, spectacular music and an all-star cast of voice talents debuts September 21st on Blu-ray Combo Pack (includes Blu-ray and bonus DVD of the film and movie download) and DVD.

What my kids have been up to lately….

My daughter turned 4yrs old in July and still isn’t used to saying she’s four. She recently had her Wellness Visit and she weighs 40lbs (I believe) 40″ tall. They gave her 5 shots and will not need anymore until she’s 11 yo (I believe). Sheesh…I guess I should have wrote this info down…anywho…

She used to use the word “prettyful” instead of “beautiful” for a few months to describe things…but NOW she’s been calling everything “Beautiful” (emphasizing the ‘B’). She is also REALLY into dresses, necklaces and bracelets…OooH…bracelets. She wears them all at once TOO!

She was dressing herself, THEN Daddy started dressing her in her pj’s after showers and she didn’t want to dress herself anymore. NOW, I’ve put my foot down and Daddy makes her dress herself. Which NOW makes my life easier in the morning, because all I have to do is tell her to get dressed and she does.

She’s been wanting to walk to school all by herself like the ‘school age’ at her daycare/pre-school. And says she wants to be in Kindergarten.

My son turned 2 years old in May and has been thriving with his speech. At first I was a little worried, but all of a sudden he just started copying everything that his sister was saying and now I feel his is talking more than he should. It’s not a bad thing until he won’t stay quiet.

He is a very determined little boy and amazes me EVERY day with the words that come out of his mouth. He CAN say his name. AND it is the cutest thing EVER! I think it will be the last of the ‘firsts’ for awhile…

I am struggling now, more than ever with discipling and babying him. There are times where he is a bad boy and I discipline him AND then there are times where he wants to be held and treated like a baby. It’s hard to be consitant. I still want my baby, but I want him to grow up with discipline/structure.

I’ve been meaning to post about our Disneyland trip since we been back for a little over a month. I guess I’ve been ULTRA busy, not sure what…I guess taking care of the kids, editing photos, blogging, tweeting, entering giveaways, trying to promote my blog more, etc, etc, etc. I think housework fits in there somewhere. OH and my WONDERFUL Disney Blogger trip took presidence over my Disneyland post or any post for that mater….any day!

I have to tell ya, I really didnt’ want to come home. YES, I missed my kids and hubby BUT it was a blast!

After the blogger trip, I tried to come back a renewed/refreshed Mommy and not yell, discipline and say “no” as much. I tried to be more calm and just let a few things slide. I want to be the “fun” parent but also one that they respect. WELL, the new Mommy did not last long…I came back on Friday afternoon to one sicky little boy and a big boy. That was SWEET. but when you get another certain little girl involved.we.have.whining. UGH! Then the 2 kids whine.then my third whines. Seriously…I’ve had enough headaches in a day to last me a FEW months.

Shortly after I got home, we went over to my In-Laws to house/dog sit until Sunday. It was nice because they have a bigger house, but we had to be careful with the kids not touching & you know kid stuff. Overall it was nice to have them spread out. We also took them down to the park when it got dark and played. Something we can’t do because normally its TOO hot here.

Meanwhile, my son had pink eye from Thursday until Tuesday and went back to school on Wednesday ONLY to have his sister come down with pink eye on the same day he went back to school. We ended up curing my son with Cough/Mucus syrup and red eye drops….worked like a charm. SO we are working on his sister with the same remedy.

LUCKILY today is Thursday…almost typed Friday…and have one more day until the LONG holiday weekend. Not sure what we are going to do. I would LOVE to go camping. We aren’t camping people though. We don’t have equipment. We wouldn’t know where to go. The list goes on…SO I’m sure we’ll just hang around or go to my In-Laws and hang out and go swimming.
