He is repeating everything we say and is showing such a great thirst for learning it's amazing. We go over counting and the alphabet everyday and he really enjoys it. The other day it didn't seem like he knew anyone was watching him, but I saw him playing with my refrigerator magnets and counting them to five.

The first couple nights were rough with his crying, now we're down to just a couple minutes, then he just whimpers a few seconds and goes off to sleep.

     We had a scare yesterday because he was trying to climb over his little arm chair and fell flat on his face. He learned to spin in circles until he's dizzy and then try to walk. He falls over which makes him and us laugh. He's also taken to do funny walking. Sometimes he does a Sumo wrestler and sometimes a zombie monster. What a funny little man he is.

     David is now about 15 months old and is just incredible. Though I admit we are having some trouble with bedtime he is a joy to be around.

     Yesterday I noticed a new behavior. We gave him a pair of 3-d glasses to play with. He didn't want to wear them but seemed to get quite a kick out of seeing mom and grandma wear them.

This little boy will chew on anything, and since he's getting around so easily, we are constantlly on floor patrol. Even with this constant attention, we've had to take a dime out of his mouth, and a lot of carpet fuzz. We've tried limiting his movements to just being on a blanket, but he is having none of that. He is far too curious!

He only cried after the last shot for about one or two minutes. What a good boy. He was rewarded with a small Elmo doll from the hospital gift shop. He makes eye contact, smiles, giggles, and engages us in baby talk. I notice him saying " egay " when he's complaining about food.

     He's up to over 13 pounds now and is sucking up those bottles like crazy. We have been having a problem with him spitting up and not burping. Moreover they describe a "cheese like substance" on or in the folds of the neck. Apparently this is quite common. It is however a surprise to me.
