If you were previously added to my blogroll, don’t worry I’m still fixing the database. I upgraded to WP2.8 and there are changes in the table structure of some tables. It’s a bit of a tedious task but this is what I enjoy doing the most.

Plus, not all of my posts are showing when I’m using this theme. Is it time to switch theme already? But I love Blue Weed and Blog Oh Blog. Oh well, we’ll see…

As much as I hate to admit it but I miss being at work — everything about it.

Mukhang na-hack yata ang blog ko, obviously hindi ito yun – yung isa. Last Friday may mga posts akong biglang nawala. Biglang poof! Walang ka-warning warning. Ang weird lang kasi nung chineck ko yung files via FTP andun lahat pati database. So hopeful pa ko na pwedeng ibalik. Nag send ako ng ticket sa host ko pero walang sagot – ok lang pa-weekend na din kasi. Pero kanina pag check ko ng email ko sabi may bagong installation daw ng Wordpress. Ano??? Ano’ng bagong installation? Niloloko mo ba ko? Eh ni hindi ko nga nagalaw blog ko ng isang buong araw dahil pumunta ko sa Earth Hour at nag-cover kami ng event, so pano ko maa-upgrade ang blog ko eh ni hindi nga ako magkadaugaga sa pagkuha ng pictures kahapon dahil overwhelmed pa ko sa camera ko. Ayan tuloy nasabi ko na yung sikreto kong malupet. Che!

Masaya ako na malungkot na asar na excited. Halo-halo’ng ewan kaya di ko tuloy alam gagawin ko. Masaya ako dahil sa bago kong toy na di ko pa ma-figure out ang ibang controls, malungkot ako dahil isa na akong pulubi, at asar na asar ako dahil down ang isang blog ko. Pucha talaga ang hirap!

Sana lang matulungan naman ako AGAD ng host ko. Lately kasi hindi sila sumasagot sa mga tickets na sina-submit ko kaya parang mas nakakaasar. Di ko tuloy alam kung alam ba talaga nila ginagawa nila o weird lang talaga nangyayari sa blog ko.

It was a not-so-sunny Saturday and my friends and I headed to Power Plant Mall for Eraserheads’ drummer Raimund Marasigan will be there to sign Eheads Team Manila shirts. We were all excited. Alright I admit, I specifically couldn’t contain myself.

We arrived just in time. The line was already long when got there but everyone was calm and we patiently waited. Raimund arrived with his daughter – holding her hand – on time, 4PM and settled beside the store’s cashier so he can sign shirts right after a person buys a shirt.

It took us more than an hour before we got to the counter but we had a great time chatting with one another (my friends) and with strangers. When you’re stuck with strangers for more than an hour you’ll most likely talk to them whether you like it or not. Hey, we’re all Eheads fans anyway and we were there for the same reason so why not chat for a bit?

There was some commotion in the cashier area when two girls decided to be the Divas of the Day but luckily they got away quick. We were all scared and at the same time pissed with those girls.

I wasn’t planning on buying another shirt, I already got 2, but the new stocks of “Eheads Manila” shirts have the set list printed at the back. And the set list is updated with the second encore a.k.a. “Three for the Road” and I want one like that so I bought another shirt. I had all my shirts signed by Mr. Marasigan plus my Fruitcake book. I also brought my Reunion CD and DVD but I was so nervous I wasn’t able to have him sign them. I was a mess; I was shaking all throughout the signing and picture taking I didn’t even manage to give a decent smile in the picture. It was a very embarrassing moment for me but also very rewarding. I was one of the happiest human being right at that moment.

Rayms – as he signed on the shirts, etc – was quiet; he was just there sitting beside his daughter, drinking lots of soda and once in a while chatting with some of the people who I assume he knows. Same with the fans, he’s timid and signs whatever you want him to sign to and gives his biggest smile when cameras are pointed to him. Some might think he’s suplado but I think he just didn’t know what to say so he just kept quiet. Pam and I said thanks to him almost at the same time and he nodded at me so Pam thought he’s a bit suplado. I told her maybe he’s just shy. But now that I think about it I think he just didn’t know who to say “You’re welcome” to or to give a smile because we (Pam and I) almost said it at the same time. Plus there were already 2 guys behind me asking of an autograph.

Anyway, we had fun. Super fun. A friend wasn’t able to come with us but another friend, Ryan, tagged along.

If you ask me how the concert was last Saturday I’ll just give you the biggest smile I can give. Until today I still can’t get this big smile off my face. I’m in great mood, my happiest in a long time.

People watching the concert are scattered around the Mall of Asia hours before the concert and they can be spotted from afar. They’re either wearing Eheads-related shirts or 3 Stars and the Sun. Most fans of the band are also fans of the late Master Rapper, Francis Magalona.

According to Eraserheads drummer Raimund Marasigan, there will be no more countdowns, no wigs, no green hair. And yes indeed, no more drama but there was some sort of a countdown before the show – alphabet in backwards. It stopped at letter E, the inverted letter E – and the greatest concert event of the year started.

From the moment they sang the first song, Magasin, we felt it; these boys have grown up and everything is okay. Everyone were smiling, clearly having fun, making fun of each other and the crowd, and actually interacting with the crowd. We didn’t witness something like this in the August 2008 Eraserheads concert or even the band’s gigs way before. This band is known for going to the stage, play songs, and then exit; they talk very little to the crowd.

They did not sing hit after hit songs but true blue fans of the band sing along with them. I was all kilig before every song is performed. I was actually praying that I would hear “Poorman’s Grave” and “Waiting For The Bus” next to each other and my prayers were answered. Mahal ako ni Lord!

Marcus Adoro was in his Markus Highway mood; singing “Huwag mo nang Itanong” in reggae made the crowd roar in laughter. It was super fun especially when he started it with, “Chika and inabot ko…” and ended with “At di ko sasabihin sayo”. Labbet!

And of course Raimund should perform too. “Ladies and gentlemen, Raimund Marasigan on vocals!”, Ely introduced him to the crowd. Of course it made us all happy and excited because Raimund will be standing beside Ely on stage. Slomo, Alkohol and Insomia – 3 songs from Lemonlime and he actually stand beside Ely for some photo opp. I told myself I would never ask for a group hug but it was a totally different story when you’re there and you’re seeing them so close with each other. At that moment I thought they would actually put their arms around each shoulders but it didn’t happen. But it’s okay. And because I was so happy I sang Alkohol with wrong lyrics. Nakakahiya, I was singing so loud pa naman.

I love it when they sit down and stripped down for a bit and play some of their songs in acoustic. We all wanted to jump and have some rock and roll but the band was sitting down so we all just swayed our bodies to “Tikman” and “Wishing Well” and we had a “Fine Time” doing that.

Of course we did not leave the venue after they said goodnight, El Bimbo hasn’t performed yet and we’re all expecting a tribute to Francis Magalona.

We want more! We want more!

“Kumanta tayo para kay Francis!” was Ely’s opening marks when they came back on stage. Francis was supposed to perform Superproxy with the band but last Saturday Ely did both the singing and the rap. “Mabuhay si Francis!” was his words after the song.

“Minsan” was a very special song for the band and I think in Ely’s heart it is still special. Francis Magalona’s “Kaleidoscope World” (chorus) is also played as tribute to the man. As expected “El Bimbo” is the last song and while the band plays there were fireworks at the back of the crowd. Ely also burned the Sticker Happy piano on stage as their way of closing the Eheads era in front of all of us. This a way of telling us to move on and accept whatever it is these boys are doing right now. Eraserheads the band may not here to stay but their music will. After all, we’ll still see and hear the boys in their respective bands. Sabi nga ni Ely, “if you want to hear more Eheads, buy a Sandwich album, a Markus Highway album and of course buy a Pupil album”. And yes, Mr. Buendia, we did and we will.

And there it was, A GROUP HUG. Ely was very enthusiastic as he was the one who called the rest of the band to gather at the center of the stage, put their arms at each other’s shoulders/backs and take a bow. Jazz Nicolas was also there and he got a well-deserved applause and respect from most of us.

Good thing we did not leave the concert grounds right away as they went back to perform 3 more songs – not included in the set list. They talked which songs to sing and then it happened. Ligaya, Sembreak, and Toyang. Without a prompter Ely jumped to the 3rd stanza of Sembreak after the first, and when it ended he was a bit confused and asked, “Ay tapos na ba?”. Very funny and cute and only shows that they are really okay. In “Toyang” Ely went to the crowd and asked some fans to sing. As he was going back to the stage he passed the mic to Tim Yap and ask him to sing but the poor guy sang the wrong lyrics thus getting a very loud “Boo!” from the audience. It was later explained by Day Cabuhat in the Eheads mailing list that Tim was there to cover the event and admits he doesn’t know all of the lyrics so I’m going to forgive him.

Some notable funny moments from the concert:

“Sinong bruha?” – Marcus teasing the crowd, he thought he heard bruha instead of group hug.

And the symbolic burning of the Sticker Happy piano. That marks the end of Eraserheads.

In my opinion this concert is way better than the first one. I’m not saying this because the first was cut short but because last Saturday we witnessed a different Eheads – smiling, having fun, and happy. Yes, they did close the Eheads chapter in front of us but I think people have moved on already. We’re old enough to accept the fact that they’re not getting back together. If you ask me 6 or 7 years ago how I feel about the ‘Heads breaking up I’ll say devastated but now I am actually thankful. Because if they did not have a break up we will not have a reunion concert this great today. Who knows if they’d still be big these days if they did not break up? Maybe people will get tired of their music? Though I won’t be one of those people; All I’m saying is that these boys have come a long way and they have different styles and wants now and we can’t tell them what to do.

Thank you Eraserheads for putting up an unforgettable show and for making us all happy. And who knows, maybe we’ll see you guys again in ten years. Right, Buddy Zabala? I just hope next time Punk Zappa will be there. Oy!

It’s boring. No PC, no internet, no TV, and most of all – and probably the stupidest thing I forgot to bring – no book! Considering I have a pile of books waiting for me to read.

Pumunta ako sa kusina para kumain ulet, nagutom ako eh. Pero hindi pa ko nakakakalahati sa kaning isusubo ko bigla kong nabitawan ang kutsara.

Bilang consumer at manood may karapatan akong maglabas ng opinyon ko kagaya rin ng karapatan mong mag-concert. Pero naman, ayus-ayusin mo. Binabayaran ka diba?

Naiintindihan kong Rockustic chorvaness ang tema ng concert mo, ang hindi ko lang maintindihan kung bakit hindi ka pumili ng mga kantang babagayan ng rock + acoustic. Hindi lahat ng kanta kaya mong kantahin at hindi sa lahat ng pagkakataon nagiging maganda ang kanta pag iniiba ng areglo. Bat ka nambababoy ng kanta ng may kanta? Akala mo ba maganda? Hindi ikaw si David Cook.

Wag kang sumigaw! Kung hindi mo kayang kantahin ang kanta – na obviously ay totoo – pwede bang pumili ka na lang ng mga kantang alam mong kaya mo? At nagsama ka pa ng isa pang genius na mang-aawit. Kung sino man ang nagsabi sa inyo ni Piolo Pascual na magaling kayong kumanta babatukan ko. Para magising sa katotohanan. Minsan naman ok kayong kumanta eh, depende lang sa kanta. Pero mas madalas ok sa simula, shaky sa gitna, sabog sa dulo. Parang gusto kong ipasok kayo sa Pinoy Dream Academy para ma-okray kayo ni Direk Joey Reyes at Ryan Cayabyab. Tingnan lang natin kung may pumuri sa inyo sa loob.

Tapos may nalalaman ka pang “save the best for last” eh ang gulo nga ng last number mo! It was more of a “save the worst for last” than the former. Ang panget pare, pramis.

Pero in fairness hindi ko naman napanood na buo (dahil hindi ko talaga kaya – kaso ang lakas ng volume ng TV namin eh, abot hanggang kwarto ko), narinig ko lang yung Kokomo, at ang napanood ko talaga eh yung duet mo with Toni at Piolo tapos yun ngang last song mong ubod ng lupet sa panget.

Wag mo nang uulitin ang ginawa mo ha? Utang na loob.

I don’t normally bitch around, I consider myself patient most of the time. I can tolerate a lot of things plus I easily forget about bad things done to me by other people and I sometimes hate myself for being (a little) nice.

What really pisses me off is when people talks to me as if they know me better than myself. I also hate it when my ideas/opinions are taken away from me. I don’t really have to brag about what I can do or what I think about things but claiming and telling people that it was your idea is too much. And wrong – very, very wrong. All I need is a little courtesy and respect.

I don’t like you; In fact most of the time I HATE you. You’re not funny at all. And please stop acting like you care about all of us because you and I both know that you don’t. You just want other people to think you’re nice. And you don’t know me; you have the slightest idea what I think about you and what I am capable of. My real friends know me and they know what I can do because they’ve seen them and they know how take care of me.

A friend once told me she doesn’t know when I like a certain person or not because I can talk to him without even caring or I could ignore him all day but deep inside me I still look after that person. What I usually do is treat people the way they treat me. If you’re nice, I’m nicer; if you’re a bitch, I’m a bitch too.

I am telling you this so you know what to do. I don’t want to keep you hanging like what you did to me.

One more thing, I’m not speaking for myself here I am actually voicing out what everybody feels about you. So stop claiming you know us because, really, you don’t.
