Madonna’s son, David Banda, flew via Johannesburg from Malawi overnight with a bodyguard and Madonna’s nanny/personal assistant. They arrived at London’s Heathrow airport early in the morning. Malawian authorities earlier waived local rules to grant Madonna and her film director husband, Guy Ritchie, an interim adoption.

Hermés Gustaf Daniel Giersch was born at 8 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He weighed 8.5 lbs. and was 22 in. long.
After being in labor throughout the night, Rutherford is now resting comfortably at home with her baby. "We live so close to the hospital, we thought we could either hang out here and eat hospital food or go home and order take-out from La Scala," she tells PEOPLE.
Rutherford is best known for her 1996-1999 role as former hooker Megan Lewis Mancini on Melrose Place, and recently appeared as Samantha "Sonny" Liston on the NBC policital drama E-Ring.
Britney Spears is showing off her new post-baby body, and the pop princess’ sudden slim down has landed her on the cover of this week’s Us Weekly magazine. Us Weekly’s Katrina Szish told us that Britney lost 26 pounds of baby weight in just one month! So what is her secret? "Britney is working out twice a day," Szish revealed. "Britney’s also traded her fast food diet for lots of smaller, healthier mini-meals, and she’s also cut out white flour altogether."
“She is not treating herself with food and desserts anymore,” says a family friend of Spears, who gave birth to her second child on September 12. According to an employee at the store, Spears gushed that she was “a whole new size – an 8,” and needed “all new clothes.” Spears’ weight jumped from 120 to 160 during the pregnancy, but she took off the pounds with diet and exercise.

Despite her baby plans, Celine - who is married to music producer René Angélil - is not looking forward to her Las Vegas extravaganza coming to an end. She relented: "It's almost over, even though there's one year left. I feel, and I think we all feel, that we are kind of walking out. "It's bittersweet. My husband and I began the adoption process many months prior to our trip to Malawi. I did not wish to disclose my intentions to the world prior to the adoption happening as this is a private family matter. After learning that there were over one million orphans in Malawi, it was my wish to open up our home and help one child escape an extreme life of hardship, poverty and in many cases death, as well as expand our family.
Nevertheless, we have gone about the adoption procedure according to the law like anyone else who adopts a child. Reports to the contrary are totally inaccurate. The procedure includes an 18-month evaluation period after which time we hope to make this adoption permanent. This was not a decision or commitment that my family or I take lightly.
I am overwhelmed and inspired by my trip to Malawi and hope that it helps bring attention to how much more the world needs to do to help the children of Africa.
My heartfelt thanks for all the good wishes I have received and I hope the press will allow my family some room for us to experience the joy we feel to have David home.

The former Atomic Kitten, whose publication 'Too Much, Too Young' has just hit the shelves, spent almost two hours at the ASDA store, in Handsworth, yesterday afternoon.
About 60 people were queuing up as the star of TV's I'm A Celebrity took a seat to sign copies and chat with fans - and during the visit autographed a total of about 200 books.
Store events manager Rosie Biggin said: "Kerry had been plagued with morning sickness but she managed to put on a brave face and was very friendly. She had a smile for everybody." Staff also presented Kerry with two hampers of baby goods and clothes to mark the store's Baby Week, when products for new-born youngsters are promoted.
Pregnant Marie Antoinette director Sofia Coppola wants to have more children - especially as pregnancy allows the star to feast on cakes. Coppola, who is expecting her first child with French rocker Thomas Mars in December, admits she doesn't want her offspring to grow up as an only child.She says:
"I've been working for so long that motherhood has been on the back burner but now it's pretty much the only thing on my mind and I don't think this baby will be an only child. There will definitely be more. "Besides, it's nice to have an excuse to eat cake all the time."
Rocker Beck and his wife Marissa Ribisi are expecting their second child together according to BarbieMartini. The devout Scientologist couple has been married for two years and was highly secretive about their marriage and the birth of their first child.
Their son Cosimo Henri Hansen was born in May 2004, but the actual birth date and location have never been revealed.
Perhaps this baby will actually be beamed in from Pluto.
