Love wearing my summer dresses into the winter. Throw on a sweater, a blazer and now with the weather getting colder, some tights and boots and it's less packing-summer-clothes-away for me!

These Zara shoes are hands down the best shoe purchase I've ever made! I bought them on a whim and I'm glad I did, the next day, they were sold out! Super cute, Super comfy!

Yes, ladies, and I think, one gent...I am going to be a momma! So excited to be having my first baby, and it's a girl! So yes, her closet is packed already!

Thank you all for your continued comments of good luck wishes and congratulations on my marriage! And loving the love and the misses of my blog posts. This little stowaway has sucked all my energy up so not sure when I'll be able to post again. Missing you all and hope to be back full time blogging once she's born!

'Thy Gown? Why, Ay - Come, Tailor, Let Us See't'

2012-07-09T17:11:00.002-04:00

Love this dress from eShakti! Love the vintage vibe (i.e., the cut), love the peek-a-boo cutout in the back and love that I got to custom tailor it to fit me perfectly (well, I had to measure myself which was a first and let me tell ya, some parts aren't so easy to do on your own!) All in all, I think I got the perfect fit though, and it was really fun!

If you guys have never heard of eshakti.com, I urge you to check it out. You have the option of custom ordering clothing in your exact size or you can go the traditional route and pick from the sizes they have. You can even play around with the length (I opted for the above the knee version for this dress)! Also, the pricing is really reasonable! They were actually mentioned in this month's issue of Lucky Mag.

It took about 3 1/2 weeks for the dress to arrive, but seeing that it came from India and that it is custom, the wait was well worth it! Nicely made, great, sturdy material, so all in all, I'd definitely buy from eShakti again!

Thinking of taking a small hiatus from blogging. It's been 2 years now, and it has been an absolutely fun ride! Thank you all for always commenting and for giving my little blog a small place in your busy day! I'm sure I'll be back soon since I don't think I'll ever stop shopping and what better way to justify the addiction than to say 'oh, it's for my blog' hehehe...

Feel free to keep in touch!

Lots of Love,

Amy

'Lou, Lou Skip To My LuLus'

2012-06-27T10:11:00.003-04:00

Another adorable dress sent to me by lulus.com. LOVE the ventilation at the waist! Certainly comes in handy on those hot, sticky summer days. Also loving the ditzy floral print! I went with a Medium in this dress and I think it fits perfectly!

Paired it with this super cool neon necklace I found on Etsy and my neon strip flats from H&M which are impossible to walk in if you can believe. They constantly flip off my feet. Gotta get an insole and hopefully that fixes the problem. I'd hate to have to just stare at them in my closet.

Don't forget to take advantage of the 15% discount at lulus.com. It's good until Friday, 6/29 and is valid site wide! Just use BABYBUDGET (case sensitive).

(Unfortunately, the code is only good for my fellow Americans and Canadians)

Enjoy!

LOVE that Lulus.com sent me this super bright neon skirt! I literally glow in the dark! Huge fan of minis and love the exposed zipper in the back as well. Just to let you know, I found that Lulu's clothes run a tad small, so if you're my body type (126lbs), go with the large on this one!

I swear I attract bees in this skirt, but I say the brighter the better!

As a treat to you guys, LuLu's is offering a 15% discount off your total purchase, and it's valid site wide!

Use BABYBUDGET (case sensitive) and it's good from 6/25/2012 until 6/29/2012.

2012-06-20T10:02:00.003-04:00

I've had this black lace dress for at least 6 years now. Found it again while I was switching over my closet FINALLY from winter clothes to summer. Instantly, I knew it was the perfect piece to recreate this dress that I saw in Lucky Mag.! I simply substituted the black slip it came with with my trusty neon pink slip et voila (slip worn here and here as well)!

Added the H&M neon yellow goodies for an added pop since black shoes just seemed to dull it down. Hey, if ya going to go for it, then go for it! Don't be afraid of color as I used to be! Love the color, be one with the color, wear the color...okay...

Happy first day of Summer!!! Whoo Hooo!

Hope to get the blue and green color for that price too but we'll see...sometimes a good deal like that comes only by chance.

'Short [Shift]'

2012-06-13T12:08:00.002-04:00

This dress alone is too short for work, so I did the next best thing! Layer, layer, layer! Cinched in the waist with a skinny belt for a bit of shape, and I got loads of compliments on it all day. Threw on a thin, long black cardigan for good measure while indoors, but while out and enjoying the warm weather, I left it on the back of my chair!

Do you guys conform to office attire or do you push the envelope just a tad bit?

Since the neon trend is up and running, I thought it would be super easy to find a neon slip. NOT! Searched for about two months before finally giving up. Luckily, Free People came to the rescue recently!

Considering getting it in this color too since I'm getting so much use out of it! LOVE when my bucks go a long way! Also love too that the weather is getting hotter and hotter! Was sweating buckets when I took these photos but loving every drop! I'm more of a hot weather sort of gal...oh and apparently I'm team pink at the moment as well... :)

GIVEAWAY: Julie Nolan's Astrological Jewelry

2012-06-07T09:27:00.001-04:00

Shown in Leo

I've teamed up with Julie Nolan, creator of these gorgeous brass astrological sign pieces. The astrological constellations are based on a Swiss calendar from the 1900's. Each piece is hand drilled through the oval face and has the respective sign name hand stamped on the back side. I've never seen my sign portrayed on jewelry quite like this, and I knew it would be a conversation starter. People always ask me if the 'dots mean anything.'

Her pieces are sold on her etsy shop, at julienolanjewelry.com, anthropologie.com and needsupply.com. Visit any one of these websites to check out what your own sign looks like.

The winner of this giveaway will get their choice of either the necklace or the hinged cuff in their sign. I literally can't take mine off; I'm in love with it so much, and I'm sure you've seen it already on my recent blog posts.

How to win:

Be a follower of BBBlog on Google Friend Connect and Facebook (here);

Like Julie Nolan's Facebook page (here) and follow her Twitter page (here);

Pick a three digit number (100-999) and leave it in the comment section of THIS post (please be sure to leave your email so that I can contact you of your win);

Until a winner is chosen, you can leave your number choice once each day. The person who hits the exact number or comes the closest to the number I have already chosen, wins!

Open to my national and international readers!

I'll announce the lucky winner on my blog on Tuesday, June 19th.

Good luck!

'The [Dress] Is Come Full Circle'

2012-06-05T11:10:00.000-04:00

Towards the beginning of the Spring, those of you who follow me on Twitter probably heard my rant towards H&M for not stocking more of this dress (seen here in the second photo) in their stores. I walked a total of 30 blocks and visited 4 H&M's on a lunch hour to try and find it but to no avail. Turns out, I'm glad I didn't. This dress is infinitely better! The material is better, the length is better, the pleats are awesome as is the lighter neon color so that next year, I'll still wear it once the neon craze has died down (I sincerely hope it doesn't though).

The top of the dress is really sheer so I added this neon pink slip beneath! I'll change it up with a white one or on those daring hot days, will just let a pretty floral bra peak out from beneath.

Hello and welcome to all my new readers! I really appreciate your support!

2012-05-21T13:22:00.001-04:00

So I'm back up and running with my new laptop. Gotta get used to it and the new photo editing tools, but when I do, I think I'll be all good with smashing my old laptop in a fit of PMS rage (long story). Anyhoo, I've learned my very expensive lesson and when this laptop begins to act up, I'll know better...

Took my white T.B.A. dress out for a spin. As soon as I stepped out of my door, a fresh (as in naughty) gust of wind carried it up right up over my head (well almost) flashing the BF my lady parts. Back in the house I went and added my sequin skirt.

Wanted to show off this Chanelesque blazer I picked up at L&T for a fraction of the original price only to have the sleeves rip at the seam a couple of days ago. PISSED AM I! Whatever happened to quality? Ugh. I do love the blazer though, so I'll be taking it to the cleaners to see if they can restitch the sleeves.
