Nuby has just introduced a new line of bpa (bisphenol a free) silicone orthodontic pacifiers that have a natural flexing action that imitates the motion of mother's nipple during feeding. You can order them from http://www.babypacifiershop.com/ where you will find some of the best selections on the internet.

The Nuby Natural Touch Orthodontic Pacifiers come two in a package along with a convenient clear storage case.

These pacifiers are wonderful if your baby or toddler likes to take their pacifiers out of their mouths and chew on them, or rub them on their gums. They have the patented nuby nubbies on the end of the stem which helps to stimulate the gums for having healthy teeth. There are also little air holes that help reduce skin irritation around the mouth.

You can feel comfortable with these new Nuby Natural Touch Orthodontic pacifiers in every way. They come in sizes 0-6 months and 6+ months and in a variety of colors. Other new lines will be available shortly with the bulb shaped nipples.

The pacifiers to the left are the new orthodontic natural touch in their plastic case. They are soft silicone all the way around and they bend and flex, unlike the older pacifiers that are made of a hard plastic.

Ava is enjoying her new Nuby Natural Touch Orthodontic Pacifier in size 6+ months!

Bee Pacifiers are the perfect way to create a buzz. We've had a pretty serious discussion of SIDS, and you know that it would be helpful to use a pacifier for your baby / toddler to help prevent it, but what style should you choose?

The bee pacifier is one of the most popular pacifiers in the Nuby line. Most of the pacifier combinations include a bee along with another cutie bug. This line is called Paci-Pals and they are made by Luv 'n Care in Monroe, LA.

The bee comes in a package with one other pacifier, usually the frog or the turtle. Either way you will get two really cute pacifiers in one package for a very reasonable price. The [bee pacifier] is not sold alone though.

Nuby pacifiers offer a great feature in that they have raised surfaces right on the top of the bee and also at the end of the pacifier nipple, just above the bulb. These pacifiers are great for teething because they provide a way for your baby / toddler to rub his/her gums as a form of massage. This helps new teeth to erupt. You can see the raised surfaces in the pictures provided here. We went through lots of slobbering while my granddaughter used her nuby nubbies to massage her own gums. We had pacifiers (and still do) available in just about every room. She takes pride in finding her "bink mees" as she calls them. She is very possessive of them but she will offer us a taste from time to time.

You can find the bee pacifiers in several varieties at http://www.babypacifiershop.com Enjoy!

They come two in a package like the turtle and frog combo below.

ORDER AT:
http://www.babypacifiershop.com/

SIDS is a serious topic and now that you know all about it, you are ready to find that perfect [turtle pacifier]. Turtle lovers unite. Here is the pacifier combination that will bring a big smile to your face. The turtle pacifier is so popular because it is so different. This adorable pacifier is made by Luv 'n Care and it is sure to bring a smile to your face.

The turtle comes in a package with one other pacifier, the bee. Or, there is also a combination of a frog and a turtle. Either way you will get two really cute pacifiers in one package for a very reasonable price. The turtle pacifier is not sold alone though.

http://www.babypacifiershop.com So hurry on over and take a look at the turtle pacifier. If you love turtles, you won't be disappointed.

The great thing about these Nuby pacifiers is the way they are made. They have raised surfaces all over them so when your toddler starts to teethe, they have something to soothe their gums with that looks cute and is very practical. The turtle pacifiers (and the others) come with raised surfaces both on the top of the pacifier and where the nipple meets the pacifier. Just take a look at the pictures here. Hopefully you can see the raised surfaces. My granddaughter loves all of the styles and when her gums are sore, she actually rubs the pacifier on her gums. It does create quite a bit of slobbering but she sure seems to be happy.
The frog pacifier is a great hit.

ORDER AT: http://shop.nubysippycup.com

There is a cute little green frog pacifier that is made by Luv 'n Care that will bring a smile to your face. The frog comes in a package with one other pacifier, the bee. Or, there is also a combination of a frog and a turtle. Either way you will get two really cute pacifiers in one package for a very reasonable price. The frog pacifier is not sold alone though.

The great thing about these Nuby pacifiers is that they come with raised surfaces both on the top of the pacifier and at the top of the nipple. Just take a look at the pictures here. You can see the raised surfaces. This will allow your baby/toddler to rub the pacifier on his/her gums when they start to get teeth. My granddaughter loves chewing on the whole thing.

These are not just for boys either. She looks so cute with all of the color combinations. These are her favorite binkies and we have them laying around in numerous places for her to pick and choose whenever she wants one.

You can find these pacifiers in several varieties at http://shop.nubysippycup.com They sell out fast because they are not your everyday pacifiers and there is a solid demand for them so not all styles are available all the time. They provide soothing relief to your baby when s/he is teething. My granddaughter takes the pacifier out of her mouth and puts the pacifier itself back in and rubs it on her gums. It seems to help her, although you may want to watch out for overactive slobbering :)

Here is a picture of what the Nuby Soothe Air pacifiers look like. The lime green and yellow combo can be either boy or girl. The aqua and purple combo is the favorite of the baby girls. You can see the raised bumps (called nubbies) all over the pacifier. If you visit the baby pacifier shop website you can see pics of the raised bumps at the bottom of the nipple.

You can find these at http://www.babypacifiershop.com/ along with more information about each Nuby pacifier type. All of the pictures will connect you to the Nuby store if you want to check them out or purchase. These make great gifts and are very popular!

In certain babies the arousal centers may be immature. If these babies were to fall into a deep sleep in a compromising position, such as against a pillow or on their stomachs, they could suffocate because they don't wake up."

The reason pacifier use may reduce SIDS risk remains uncertain. However, according to Dr. Kattwinkel, "there is a theory that pacifier use might change the sleep state of babies by causing them to sleep less deeply." Another theory is that the baby pacifier may help to maintain the baby's airway during sleep.

Regardless of the reason, if studies are showing that baby pacifiers can help prevent SIDS then it can only make sense to give it a try. If the studies are showing that pacifier use has helped to drop the rate of sudden infant death syndrome in half then there must be some merit to it.

You can find more information on the best baby pacifiers at: http://www.babypacifiershop.com

The problem does arise when the baby continues to use a pacifier into their second and third years or even longer in some cases.

She quotes: "After age 1 when pediatric dentists start to see children with non-nutritive sucking habits, we are watching the frequency, duration, and intensity of the habit, to follow its effect on the developing bite." The Nuby orthodontic gel pacifiers are a great first choice.

The bottom line is that pacifier use is encouraged in the prevention of SIDS, especially for the first year. If the studies are indicating that it doesn't hurt to give your baby a pacifier then there should be no reason not to try one. Each parent has to decide for him or herself if baby pacifiers are right for their family and baby.

This is according to an updated policy statement from the American Academy of Pediatrics."

Get the pictured popular Nuby 3D infant pacifiers on sale now. Click here.

According to the policy statement, and at a recent meeting of the AAP, Dr. John Kattwinkel stated that six studies found that using a pacifier significantly lowers the risk of SIDS.

This is a very important statement for parents to consider. Baby pacifier use does not hurt your baby, but now there are more studies being conducted that indicate that you may be able to help prevent SIDS by simply allowing your infant to use a baby pacifier.

In light of that, you can find reduced prices on Nuby pacifiers by visiting http://www.babypacifiershop.com/ which will lead you to discounted Nuby pacifiers.

You may also want to visit http://www.nubysippycup.com/ for great deals on other Nuby sippy cups and products.

(You can click here right now to check out some of the most recent, very popular styles). The Nuby pacifiers are designed with your baby's comfort and safety in mind.

The Nuby pacifiers offer several different kinds of nipples. The first is the one most consumers know of already and is still very popular, even though it is being challenged by the newer silicone pacifiers and nipples. It is the standard, flat design, latex nipple. This nipple is the brownish color, very flexible type of nipple that the boomer generation grew up with.

The second type of Nuby pacifier nipple is the silicone nipple. This nipple is sized just right for your baby. It is specifically designed to help your baby during the teething process. It has the Nuby brand, patented Nuby Nubbies (raised up bumps on the neck of the nipple for your baby to rub his or her gums on when they are sore).

The third type of Nuby pacifier is the orthodontic pacifier. This pacifier is scientifically designed to help develop the formation of your baby's teeth, jaws and palates.

For great choices and good discounts on Nuby baby pacifiers, please visit http://www.nubybabystore.com/

The studies have shown that as long as the mom and baby have already established a breastfeeding routine that there is no need to worry about a baby rejecting the breast.

Baby pacifiers come in different sizes to accommodate infants through six months and up. The nipples on the pacifiers are smaller for ages 0-6 months and a bit larger for 6 months and up. The nipples on the baby pacifiers typically are made of latex and silicone. They also come in different shapes and serve different purposes. A latex pacifier is more of a general, overall pacifier. The silicone pacifiers typically are designed to help your baby during the teething process or they have an orthodontic scientifically designed shape that helps develop the formation of your baby's teeth, jaws and palates.

For a look at some great pacifiers, visit http://www.babypacifiershop.com or click here.

As a result, I have started doing some research on baby pacifiers. I had heard both positive and negative things about using pacifiers prior to my research, but now I believe they may even save lives.

While I was at my granddaughter's pediatrician, I saw an article posted on the wall that discussed the relationship of baby pacifiers and sudden infant death syndrome. After reading it, I came home and looked it up on the internet to find out more information. When I did my search I started with the search term on google, "pacifiers and SIDS". I came across many articles that discussed Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Most of those articles were stating that the use of pacifiers in infants can possibly prevent some of the crib deaths that are occuring in record numbers.

One of the theories about why baby pacifiers might be able to help prevent SIDS is that many pacifiers have handles that can flip toward the baby's nose creating an air space between the nose and the baby's covers or bedding. Another theory is that the sucking action may change the way the baby sleeps, possibly causing the baby to wake upon occasion. No one knows for sure. There have been enough studies done since 2005 to give this serious consideration, however. After all, sucking on a baby pacifier can't hurt the baby and with the risk of SIDS being the greatest between ages 2 and 4 months, it may be worth a try.

The 2005 official recommendation by the AAP includes the following:

1. Offer a baby pacifier at nap and bedtime. No one knows why yet, but the evidence is compelling that the use of a pacifier reduces the number of SIDS cases.

2. Continue use of a pacifier from ages 0-12 months at least. Give the baby the pacifier when s/he lays down to sleep. If it falls out after the baby goes to sleep, don't put it back in. Never force a baby to take a pacifier if s/he doesn't want it.

3. Don't coat the babys pacifiers with any type of juice or sugars.

4. Clean your pacifiers often

5. Replace your baby pacifiers regularly (just like toothbrushes have to be replaced)

6. If you are breastfeeding, delay introducing the pacifier until the baby is one month old to ensure that the baby is doing well with breastfeeding.

Remember, in light of these recommendations, it is important to know that SIDS is very rare before the age of one month. The peak age is between ages two and four months and then SIDS rates drop rapidly after the baby is 6 months or older.

You can find more about SIDS by reading Alan Greene MD FAAP by going to Google and typing in "pacifiers and SIDS" .

If you would like a great deal on baby pacifiers and a good selection, please visit the baby pacifier links below. I wasn't as gung ho about them until reading this article. Now, not only can I provide some great products for babies but I can help spread the word that there is hope for preventing SIDS (although there is only circumstantial evidence and plenty of it).
