Wait a minute – who has time to do it yourself? Like most women today, I am busy from the moment I awake in the morning until late at night. I have learned that sometimes taking a shortcut is the best way to save yourself some time and stress. In today’s busy society, don’t be afraid to take a few shortcuts along the way to your ‘homemade cupcakes.’ No time for baking from scratch? Simply buy a standard cake mix, follow the easy directions and bake. Choose a store-purchased frosting that is either vanilla or chocolate and decorate with sprinkles. Better yet, if you know the gender of the upcoming arrival, use baby blue or light pink cupcake liners and colored sprinkles accordingly.

If you are like me and try to multi-task while multi-tasking, then take an even bigger shortcut and purchase cupcakes from a local bakery. The time you save by ordering pre-made baked goods can be better spent decorating and preparing your home.
