In the second b-b-b-bonu-s-s-s episode of Back to the Yard, Luke and Alex talk about this Sunday’s WrestleMania PPV. Running down the card and predicting the outcomes, they also talk about their opinions on the buildup to Mania, which, given their current attention level of the product, is still, highly educated. There were a few audio problems in the recording, so a few takes have been stitched together as best as possible, but shouldn’t provide too much of a distraction.

A 2016 return of the show after a five month break sees Luke sitting down in July of 2015 to talk with a member of his own home fed of WCWe: James Rowley. Lifelong friends since the infamous Albert Road Primary School puddle incident, Luke and Rowley talk about their friendship and how they reconnected through backyard wrestling, and Rowley talks about his days of wrestling, from gimmick changes, the few trips he actually went on, his rivalry and matches with Luke and his unlikely match with Tyrant in 2005.

All that is covered, along with Dan’s relationship with Steve Farrell, his favourite matches and memories of trips to Canada.

Joined also with the one and only A.K, the two talk about their days in the UKBYW community, from the early days of BBWF to the NAW era, beyond, and why they fell out of the community with such a sense of finality. Luke asks them about their thoughts on many topics (if they can remember them), and it turned out to be a very entertaining hour of conversation, so enjoy!

This time on Back to the Yard, Luke talks to a old name from the past, it’s another Geordie episode as Del talks about his backyarding days. Del was a mainstay in Northern feds such as UVW in the early 2000s, and made a lengthy comeback run in NAW from 2006 to 2007. His beginnings up in Newcastle are discussed along with some of his memorable matches in NAW such as his classic encounter with Dave Veale at Britfest 2007.

This week Alex chats with VCW veteran, Vancouver Canada’s own Daniel Makabe, who has had run ins with UKBYW names such as Tyrant, Ashley Dunn, GBH and Steve Farrell on both sides of the Atlantic. They talk about how Dan got into wrestling and backyard, and his experiences at some of the biggest shows in backyard history, including Heatfest. Dan is a great storyteller, making this a really good listen.
