NFL Predictions are the most difficult type of predictions because of so much variance from year to year. However, that does not mean they are exempt from "Bad Prediction".

King and Perloff - Tampa Bay Bucs - Sorry guys, Tampa Bay was 10-6 and just barely missed making the playoffs in the NFC South.

Banks and Layden - Buffalo Bills - Bills did not have the worst record, but instead had the 2nd worst. No points taken off.

Trotter, Hack and Bonvissuto - St. Louis Rams - The Rams won 7 games and missed the playoffs by 1 game. Both predictions were off about the play of rookie quarterback Sam Bradford who held his own in his first season. Additionally, these three fell into the terrible prediction trap of predicting exactly what happened the previous season. Odds are that the same thing will not happen two years in a row so be original, people!

Byrne - Cleveland Browns - The Browns were respectable, but still 5-11 and found their QB not in Jake Delhomme, but Colt McCoy. Not terrible, but still not right.

Bettis - Carolina Panthers - Winner, Winner as Bettis correctly predicted the terribleness of Matt Moore and Jimmy Clausen at the quarterback position for Carolina.

I started this blog as a bad (and good) prediction clearinghouse for the thousands of sports predictions made online and on TV (ESPN especially) every day. These predictions are hot air, made for no particular reason other than to fill air or cause controversy. It is beyond time for someone or something to record those predictions and see how bad (or good) they are.
