Camping Trip for Singles and Family (Or just for the Day)

Please join us at Goose Island State Park for a weekend of fellowship while surrounded by Gods beautiful creation. This will be a weekend of camping and a Potluck Dinner will be held at the Recreation Hall Saturday night at 5pm. We ask that you please bring food or beverages so we can come together as a family to have a great dinner. Then join us Sunday for church at BAF Rockport campus. Service times are at 10 am and 11:30 am. Reservations for the campsites are made though Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife. You can either call (512) 389-8900 or go online at www.tpwd.state.tx.us for prices and reservations. There are campsites still avaliable.. Call as soon as possible to make a reservation on a campsite. The park opens at 7am. Check-in time for campsites are at 2 pm and check-out time are at 2 pm. HOMETEAM RALLY COMING THE WEEKEND OF FEB. 5-6th!

As Bay Area Fellowship attendance continues to grow, it is vital that we continue to grow our HomeTeam ministry to provide discipleship opportunities and community. With that goal, we are planning a HomeTeam Rally during the weekend of February 5th & 6th. As Pastor Bil teaches through the Relationship Series during this time, it will become evident how important our relationships with fellow Christians are and how sharing life together in HomeTeams can enrich and enhance our walks with Christ. Tables will be set up between services on this weekend for sign up. We look forward to seeing you at the Rally and getting you involved in a HomeTeam. Stay tuned for additional information on the Rally.

As we continue to grow the HomeTeam ministry, we have more opportunities for people to step up into HomeTeam Leader roles. The HomeTeam Rally is a great time to consider stepping up. During the Rally, new leaders will have the opportunity to meet potential HomeTeam members between services at tables set up for Home Team sign-up. This is a chance to get to know a little about each other and the "chemistry" of conversation helps everyone to identify which group will work best for them. Please take this opportunity to move to the next level in your walk with Christ by volunteering to become a Home Team Leader.

A HomeTeam leader training date has been set for Feb.23rd at our main campus.

SINGLES VALENTINE'S DAY FELLOWSHIP - FRIDAY FEB. 11th at 7pm

Held at Brian Rutherford's home, this event will be potluck, so bring your favorite entree, drink, or dessert to share! Take SPID to Ennis Joslin, go left on Ennis Joslin, right on Sandpiper, & then follow around to the left. His home is on the right.

ROCK & WORSHIP ROADSHOW - AMERICAN BANK CENTER FEB. 24th!

Thursday, Feb 24th @ 7pm, an amazing concert featuring these bands: Mercy Me, Thousand Foot Crutch, Jars of Clay, & The Afters! For those of you wanting to gather for fellowship, the spot is Whataburger By The Bay on Shoreline. For more info, contact Raul Valenzuela at 361-904-1801.

Volunteers are also needed for this show. Needed are 2 runners with a van or SUV & 5 show volunteers (16 and up). If you would like to help out, please e-mail Randy Zidek: randyzidek60@hotmail.com.

Saturday, 12/4 @ 5:30 pm
We'll be meeting downtown on the waterfront by the Selena memorial statue to take in the Harbor Lights Festival.
The tree lighting will be at 6pm. The boat parade starts at 7pm.
This is always a fun & beautiful occasion!

Friday, 12/10 @ 7 pm
BAF Singles Christmas Party!
Annie Cole has again agreed to host us at her wonderful home. This will be a potluck party, so please bring something yummy to share! Also, food donations for our WestSide food pantry will be accepted, as well as Toys for Tots. Let's remember that the older children in this community are frequently left out of this one & try to fill this need.
Don't forget our ever-popular White Elephant Gift Exchange ($20 limit). This is always great fun! We can't wait to celebrate the birth of our Savior with you all!

Saturday, 12/18 @ 8pm
We'll be meeting up following the 6:30pm Saturday service to dine together at Silverado Smokehouse on Weber at Gollihar.

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide a ministry to single adults which fosters community and individual wholeness through a healthy, thriving relationship with God & each other; and to make a real difference in our city through outreach to the community.

Goals:
BAF Singles Ministry consistently ministers to and with single and single-again people. These people happen to be single by chance, change, or choice (theirs or someone else's). Whether they are never married, formerly-married, widowed, or single-parent, the goals of this ministry are:
1. To provide opportunities to build and improve our walk and relationship with Christ.
2. To provide opportunities of ministry to the single adult where they are at ... to give and receive unconditional love.
3. To provide opportunities of outreach ministry to our community and make a real difference in our city; as well as collaborate with other ministries within our walls (The M.O.B., Janes, & element) and those outside of our walls that we can serve alongside with ... to build and maintain healthy relationships and partnerships.
4. To provide opportunities to meet other Christian single adults and encourage and cultivate God-honoring relationships.

The Singles group here at Bay Area Fellowship is like a big family.

In a large church of over 7,500 in attendance every weekend at all of our campuses, & over 40% of those being singles (3,000 plus!), we stay connected with each other through our HomeTeams Ministry (small groups that meet every week throughout the city). It is here that deep, personal relationships are formed and where we explore & grow in God's Word together as we study topics relevant to singles. See our HomeTeams link on sidebar to see what HomeTeams are available &/or to sign up to be a part of one!

We all come together frequently on outreach projects to serve our community, and at several social events each year. We always have a great time, & anyone in the community is welcome to attend our events.

Our mission statement tab outlines our specific goals, but in a nutshell BAF Singles live with a single purpose: to honor & glorify Christ in all that we do... To be the light of our world... To be His hands & feet as we live this abundant life He has called us to!
