The rainbow print is classic Tepper Jackson. It won't be to everyone's tastes, but I love the psychedelic charms of the flowers, paisley teardrops, and pretty leaves. The vibrant purples, pinks, greens, and whites really pop against the Boheme's neutral beige background. Some may criticize the colorful print for being a bit childish, but I think we really need it to save the bag from appearing drab.

That print is emblazoned on cheap PVC with a glossy finish. The material's probably not going to withstand too many long haul flights, but at least it's easy to keep looking its best while it lasts. Just wipe it with a damp cloth to remove most stains.

The Boheme is just the right size for holding carry-on luggage in my opinion, not too big and not too small. It should be a cinch to keep organized too with several pockets inside and out.

Since it's made from vinyl the Boheme's $98 price tag seems a bit steep. But if you're a regular jetsetter you should get your money's worth.

As the fiancé of Hollywood heartthrob Matthew McConaghey, Alves always seems to be on the go. The landscapes of her recent travel destinations, including Texas, New Orleans, Arkansas, New York, and California, have helped the new handbags take shape.

"We are really having fun mixing all of the inspirations from the various landscapes that we’ve been collecting for some time now," she recently said.

While the "we" may refer to Alves' mother, who is also her business partner, it might also refer to McConaughey who isn't afraid to speak up about the purses. Alves claims her husband has "great taste" and a sixth sense about "what works and what doesn't."

"We are one big family so we share everything, including opinions on the creations for the line," she insisted.

I like the daring of the designs I've seen so far, but I'm not sure of the cohesiveness. The kiss-lock front pocket on Alves' favorite new handbag, pictured, seems a little out of place to me. What's your take on the design?

I'm not usually a fan of metallic leathers, but this one is much mellower than most. The silver hue is quite subtle with just a hint of sparkle. I'm not sure the tan leather accents are the best pairing for the skin, but they're pretty inoffensive.

By using metallic leather on a classic equestrian-style design, Tano's made this Mini Me very versatile. So I'm thrilled that Tano's made the shoulder strap detachable and adjustable. The Mini Me looks most casual when the strap's extended for cross-body wear. Shorten it and the Tano becomes a more refined shoulder bag. Or remove it altogether to turn the Mini Me into a clutch. It will never be red carpet worthy, even in this mode, but it should work for dinner dates.

Any time a fashion house offers a genuine leather purse for less than $100 I get excited. At a mere $69 we won't enjoy that lush Italian leather the high-end designers use, but we'll still see value.

This isn't a material we've seen a lot of in the fashion world, but the polypropylene thermoplastic composite material should soon endear itself to audiences. It's been used in lifesaving armor, NASCAR racing cars, and NFL protective gear, so you know it can hold its own.

Tumi weaves the tough material into fabric, then presses it into hard sheets to create the Tega-Lite travel bags. Tumi has forged an exclusive partnership with Tegris manufacturer Milliken, which means these are the only travel bags that use the innovative material.

The monochromatic color scheme isn't the most exciting around, but I really like the look of the woven texture. These bags might not turn a lot of heads, but they should be easy enough to spot on the baggage carousel.

Its name is a bit of a misnomer, because it's really more of a small make-up purse rather than a travel kit. There's no space for passports, travel documents, or any of the other items we associate with jetsetting. However it will hold everything you need to look flawless when you touch down.

It's quite small, but no one wants to take their entire cosmetics arsenal on vacation, do they? The main compartment has space for the beauty essentials and a miniature mirror to make sure you always look your best.

The glossy PVC exterior appears pretty cheap, but it's not simply a cost cutting exercise. This vinyl material is tough enough to survive frequent travel, and easy to wipe clean. The leopard print gives this travel kit an extra dose of sass.

It's not the most remarkable cosmetics case I've seen, but it is a solid one that doesn't cost a lot of money. For $29, is there a space for it in your travel bag?

You'll need to be a real fringe fan to embrace this design. It covers the messenger's body, falling softly in layers to create a real boho look. That's dressed up somewhat by the striking emerald green color. I typically expect bohemian bags to be in earthy browns, not this dramatic rich hue. In the wrong hands it might have seemed confusing, but I think Susan Farber's made this messenger more versatile than it might have been.

The Tahoe's medium dimensions make it perfect for everyday use. It's got enough space for the essentials without tempting us to carry things we really don't need. The single strap is adjustable for just the right fit, or you can do away with it altogether. You'll need to scale down your cargo if you hope to easily use it as a clutch, but this is a minor inconvenience.

The detachable strap makes the Tahoe appear like two bags in one, which makes its $445 price tag seem even more affordable!

I haven't always warmed to Sun N' Sand's cheap and cheerful accessories, but this is one of its better designs. While it would look out of place on the High Street, its playful vibe is perfect for hitting the beach. I love the line of decorated flip flops, which seem to be waiting to head to the strip of coastline we see in the distance. The cute flip flop charm is a lovely tie-in to the image.

The print takes focus but the straps are also surprisingly pretty. The deep blue ruched fabric is a great complement to the side panels, and those coral colored loops at either end are very sweet. Almost as sweet as the striped fabric lining we see peeking out from the mid-sized interior!

Honestly I'd prefer more space than Sun N' Sand provides. Beach items tend to be bulky, like a thick towel, a pair of flip flops, and a hat. Throwing your towel over your shoulder would leave more space in the tote, but why should you have to?

At least the smallish dimensions come with a small price tag. $40 seems like good value for this pretty beach tote, don't you think?

It's great news for Alexander Wang fans abroad, especially those in Beijing who'll enjoy a new flagship store in their city next month. The boutique is set to be a fashion palace spanning some 4000 square feet. Wang said he's admired "the progression" of fashion in China in recent years, so it makes sense that he's selected the Asian capital for such an important store.

American fans hoping that Wang will get the new store bug and open more United States outlets are set to be disappointed. He says he has no plans to open more American stores, leaving just one in New York City.

While most designers focus on conquering their own country before looking abroad, I think Alexander Wang's revolutionary business model makes a lot of sense in this current economic climate. Fashion fans in America and Europe are struggling to find money for luxuries, while stylish people in Asian nations have more disposable income than most. What's more, they seem to love luxury labels.

This cross-body isn't quite as dramatic as the purses from his forthcoming anniversary collection, but there's an understated charm about it. It really captures the essence of the borough that inspired it, appearing cool apparently without effort. Part of the secret is the buttery soft buffalo leather, which slouches casually in all the right places without seeming sloppy.

The Soho Bond bag has a fairly simple design, which only helps us appreciate its leather. When a skin is this good, why over complicate things? The polished metal clasp and some soft pleats enhance the buffalo without detracting from it.

I always appreciate a few carrying options, but all too often these straps make a bag look messy. That's not so with the Soho Bond, which comes with detachable short and long handles. We simply choose which one we want to use, leave the other behind, and enjoy a clean look no matter what mode it's in.

The Soho Bond probably won't attract the envious stares of many of Stuart Weitzman's more daring designs, but its versatility and neutral color palette make it a great investment at $425.
