Fiona Kotur's joined forces with Rachel Roy and J.Crew for two fun new fall 2012 Kotur capsule collections.

The collaborative lines offer two very distinctive looks. The Rachel Roy collaboration is a bit bolder than many fans might expect of Kotur. An art deco style black and gold envelope clutch and a peacock feather decorated box purse showcase the line's playful vintage feel.

With its J.Crew collaboration Kotur returns to her softer, more feminine aesthetic. There’s plenty of lace and sparkle designed to appeal to all American girls.

Personally I find the latest J.Crew for Kotur range much more interesting than the one the pairing produced late last year. While the first line was sophisticated it was also a bit safe. Here it seems the designers have let loose a little without losing their creative vision. If they can continue to produce capsule collections like this, I hope we see more J.Crew and Kotur pairings in the seasons to come!

Designer collaborations are fast becoming the norm, but I can't recall a label releasing two simultaneously before. They're not always successful, but I think Rachel Roy and  J.Crew have brought out the best in Kotur.

In many ways this is more of the same from the designer many hail as the new Vera Bradley. We've seen her work with vibrant quilted cloths many times before, However its cross-body configuration gives the Casey its point of difference. It's petite and lightweight, so you'll barely know it's there as you're running errands.

While the Casey's small stature ensures we're not weighed down, it also limits storage space. The material does allow us to overstuff it a little, but there's only so much you can fit in a purse this size. Some customers have criticized the lack of organizational features, but personally I feel that's a blessing. The pockets are kept to the exterior, ensuring the already small main compartment doesn't feel overly cluttered. A space so small can really take care of itself.

There's an element of getting what you pay for here. The Casey won't wow anyone, but it also costs just $26. If you're on a budget this bag might be just what you need.

The accused reportedly sold at least 22 fashion items modelled after Burberry products and bearing the label's trademarks. Yesburberryvision.com and buyburberry are amongst the sites slammed by the lawsuit.

It seems the defendants have no answers to the charges. They failed to answer the complaint which was filed in January, and they didn't even appear in court. Without any words of defence it was an open and shut case for the judge, who awarded Burberry Inc. $100 million, along with any money in the defendants' PayPal accounts.

It's not the first time we've seen judges promise damages held by third-party accounts in these kinds of cases. It's been an important development as it's notoriously difficult to get money from these overseas based online operations.

Burberry has also been awarded a permanent injunction against the offending websites. Their domain names will also be transferred to Burberry, and search engines and prominent social networks will no longer promote the sites.

If all this is sounding like déjà vu it may be because the verdict is virtually identical to the one a Manhattan judge handed down for Hermes a few weeks ago. It's further evidence that counterfeiting won't be tolerated by the world's legal systems.

The Regatta has a casual style, but it's more sophisticated than many of LeSportsac's designs. The cutesy prints the label often employs are replaced with wide horizontal stripes. I like this pretty green and white color scheme, but it's also available in a bolder red and white version if you prefer. The stripes make this rucksack style nylon bag seem a bit more chic.

Its nylon body isn't quite as sophisticated, but it's a smart choice. The material will repel water and withstand harsh coastal elements. It also keeps the price down, which is always a consideration for summer vacationers!

The Regatta's drawstring is a bit fiddly but I appreciate what it brings to this relaxed style. If you'd rather not fuss with it you can always put your everyday items in the external pocket.

I can imagine carrying the Regatta on a sailing vacation around the Maldives or the Caribbean. Of course one look at my budget suggests it's more likely to serve me at my local beach!

Either way, at $78 this summery LeSportsac bag represents great value.

I love the way the bold green and blue patches contrast with the Vivi's gentle monochromatic scales. They're not real snake scales mind you, but for this price I hardly care. At $295 we get the looks of real python without the gaping hole in our finances!

The Vivi has a cute, clutchable shape which is incredibly ergonomic. That's a good thing too, because Lauren Merkin hasn't provided a shoulder strap. While the Vivi's really easy to carry, I think I'd still miss a chain. After all, what's a girl to do once the trays or champagne and canapés start circling?

The Vivi's a little larger than most clutch purses, so we should be able to carry it during the day or night. It's too small to become anyone's go to bag, but it's perfect for meeting up for coffee or running a couple of errands.

Despite starting to talk retail outlets last summer, Beckham hasn't made any firm location plans yet. Early reports suggested she'd set up shop in New York, but Beckham says she's now leaning towards the British fashion capital of London.

It's an interesting choice for British-born Beckham, who lives in the United States and has shown her designs at New York Fashion Week. However the popularity she gained during her stint in the Spice Girls continues to endure in the United Kingdom, so perhaps it makes sense to capitalize on that brand awareness.

Beckham says she's also interested in exploring the growing Asian market, but a store in Hong Kong or another Eastern fashion capital may be some time off.

"Asia's very exciting to me, I'm just scratching the surface at the moment," she conceded. "I just want to take baby steps, build this business at a steady pace. I don't want to rush, I don't want to run before I can walk."

With an e-commerce site also in the works, perhaps it doesn't matter where Beckham bases her bricks and mortar store!

Budget conscious Andie could never justify spending $1850 on an accessory, and many modern women will probably feel the same way. The skin has an alluring luxury look, but it's a bit fragile and incredibly expensive. You'll need to feel pretty flush on splurge on this fun fashion throwback!

The 4 Against 4 line is all about combining the world of fashion with avante garde art. The accessories are a bit bizarre, but they also have the luxurious finishes and unusual elegance which should appeal to girls that enjoy originality.

This is Figaredo's third handbag line, and it picks up where its predecessors left off. Again quality fabrics are put front and center. The jewelry accents make the purses feel especially opulent. These elements are the cornerstones of high-class designers, but it's what Figaredo does with her materials that ensures her purses shine.

The line features macabre metal hands with bold red fingernails, and other accessories shaped like shoes and violins. Even a blue leather bag which seems fairly traditional is decorated with a man scaling a gold metal ladder. Nothing is classic about Ines Figaredo's line!

The 4 Against 4 collection won't be everyone's cup of tea, but its purses are definitely impressive. Each one is handcrafted and produced in limited quantities to ensure they're true collector's items.

"Their purpose is to be enjoyed, shared and admired for a lifetime, and then to remain, as heirlooms," Figaredo explained. "Mine is not the concept of luxury that prevails nowadays. My art-bags can be worn with casual clothes, they are meant to encourage women in their desire to stand out, to be unique."

I can't help thinking of the Bride of Frankenstein when I look at this hobo. The gathered pleated section near the base is interesting, but the delicate studs which cover it take the accent over the top. I don't mind the decorative hardware underneath the straps, but the double rings seem like a bit too much metal. The ties at the sides only add to the clutter.

The Dunsmouth is pretty practical though, with plenty of space and pockets too. The slouchy design makes it a little difficult to get items in and out of the bag, but at least the long straps make carrying simple.

The price is probably the Dunsmouth's biggest drawcard. $36.95 doesn't buy us a lot in the modern world, but it will buy this bag. If you're on a tight budget, that may be enough to tempt you. Just be prepared to accept a few compromises if you do. The Dunsmouth is made from a synthetic so cheap that many customers report a strong fishy odour. The scent is so overpowering that even attempts to air it out have been futile.

Personally I'd rather save some extra cash and indulge in a bag that doesn't smell like a working wharf, wouldn't you?

The collection takes us back to Coach's roots. On its inception in 1941 the Gail Manufacturing Company, as it was called then, was more famous for its wallets and billfolds than women's handbags. In fact, the feminine accessories weren't introduced until the '50s when Miles Cahn joined the team. An avid baseball fan, Cahn noticed the leather used for the sport's gloves grew softer and suppler with wear.

Inspired by the catcher's mitt, Cahn developed new leather processing techniques which were as strong and soft as the sports equipment. Using this cowhide was revolutionary at a time when handbags were generally made of thin leather pasted onto cardboard.

But why use leather that’s reminiscent of the skin from a baseball glove when you can simply use the real thing? The Coach crew spent the last 12 months sourcing vintage mitts from eBay for the collection. Each one of 200 purses in the limited edition line is crafted from mitts that are at least 70 years old. Each one is stamped for authenticity and priced at $348 from Coach outlets.

It might seem like a gimmick, but the quality of the vintage materials and the reduced carbon footprint actually makes this collection pretty smart. What do you think of Coach's latest line?
