Unfortunately, this will be my last post for a while, so I figured I better make it a good one. While shopping at the Galleria in Dallas a few weeks ago, two handbags on display at Neiman Marcus caught my eye for very different reasons. I literally stopped in my tracks when I spotted this stunning Tiffany blue bag from none other than my favorite handbag design house, Valentino. With a quintessentially ladylike shape and a napa leather exterior that has been completely enveloped in mesmerizing rhinestones and crystals, this bag is not for the faint of heart. Pair this glamorous flap bag with your favorite red holiday dress and simply wait for the compliments to pour in.

Initially, I walked right by this wristlet, but upon closer inspection I was in awe of the luminous studded detailing. Varying in size and hue, the domed studs actually resemble Christmas tree ornaments. Marc Jacobs obviously designed the Thunderdome wristlet with the downtown crowd in mind. Perfect for when you've had one too many glasses of champagne, this oversized clutch features a detachable crossbody strap as well as a wristlet option. While this MARC by Marc Jacobs wristlet retails for a reasonable $598, the Valentino flap bag is certainly a splurge at $3095. Whichever design you choose, one simply can't go wrong with these statement handbags for the holidays.

After yesterday's fiasco I think we can all agree that a palette cleanser is in order. As far as I'm concerned ladylike styling is here to stay, and who could resist the classic Day Bag from Ralph Lauren's Fall collection? Louis Vuitton Trannssiberian PM Bag

The Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 Runway Show transported us to a time when steam engines were actually luxurious. The theme had potential to be quite chic, but instead of modernizing the look, Marc Jacobs opted for a more literal interpretation. Models were dressed in layer upon layer... upon layer of heavy fabrics, garish prints and oversized hats that were anything but stylish.

Porters trailed the models carrying luggage, referencing the importance of travel accessories for the brand built on suitcases. One handbag that reared its ugly head quite a few times was the Trannssiberian PM Bag. This furry monstrosity features a bedazzled clasp and truly has me speechless. Adding insult to injury, this freak of nature retails for a whopping $4,750 at select Louis Vuitton boutiques. Seriously, Marc... What the Fug?!

When it comes to totes, I prefer to invest in timeless styles. Let's face it. Sizeable handbags can be quite an expense, so I certainly wouldn't purchase something that may not be on trend next season. Plus, I want a workhorse that will go with anything, so I can wear it regularly. These simple and chic totes from the Tod's Fall collection definitely fit the bill. The heavily grained, supple exterior is accented with nubuck calf detailing on the handles and side panels. Purchase this tote at Tod's boutiques for $1,495, but I warn you. With a myriad of neutral possibilities, choosing a color may prove to be quite an arduous task.

Stark 'Fierce' Clutch

As I was flipping through the October Issue of ELLE Magazine, I was instantly enthralled by the Fierce Clutch from Stark. Certainly not for the timid, this sizeable clutch will definitely get you noticed. My favorite is undoubtedly the emerald variation, decked out in Swarovski crystals, which exquisitely compliment the golden statement hardware. The hand-painted python version is truly a work of art, finished with an oversized jaguar clasp. Lined in leather, these clutches are the ultimate in contemporary luxury.

IT'S HERE! The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book

The holiday season is officially upon us, and Neiman Marcus has released their annual Christmas Book. Of course, there are quite a few luxurious fantasy gifts, including a walk-on role in Annie: The Musical for a mere $30,000. However, I was most intrigued by the handbag offerings, starting with this mesmerizing trio of Alexander McQueen clutches.

Loving the new Damask embossed version of the Stella McCartney Falabella Bag, modeled by Karlie Kloss in this very Vogue-esque shot.

Nancy Gonzalez introduces a ladylike flap-front satchel in her signature crocodile skin.

Last, but certainly not least, this Jimmy Choo Biker Bag caught my eye for all the wrong reasons. $5595 for this disastrous blend of fox fur, multicolored fringe detailing and floral suede? No thanks!

Tom Ford SKUNK Fur Minaudiere

Yep! It's that time of year again. We need to reevaluate how we feel about fur bags. While I can appreciate the beauty of a fur scarf or shawl, I don't think I've ever seen a chic fur handbag. Take this Tom Ford Skunk Fur Minaudiere, for instance. Why would anyone want to lug around roadkill? There's nothing fashionable about an animal that can practically blind you with their odor. Look for Less: Ralph Lauren vs. MADE

When I spotted this hobo in Ralph Lauren's Fall collection, I instantly became enamored with the dramatic fringe detailing. The suede exterior and oversized stitching adds to the western aesthetic. It's the perfect grab-and-go bag for casual weekend wear. The large capacity and ease of a magnetic closure will certainly come in handy for busy moms on the go. However, I'm not quite sold on the color, the handle drop could be longer and $1250 is a bit steep. Well, well, well... what do we have here?

Introducing the Fringe Hinge Hobo from MADE. It features everything we love about the Ralph Lauren bag with quite a few added bells and whistles. The silver-plated hardware showcased on the adjustable shoulder straps is my favorite detail, but I also appreciate the broad range of color options and customization possibilities. When Olivier Theyskens teamed up with Theory to design relatively affordable high fashion apparel and accessories, I was admittedly a bit skeptical. Let's face it. Diffusion lines have become gimmicky and uninspired. However, I was impressed with the debut collection a few seasons ago, and now I'm officially blown away. The Willa Bag is an absolute must-have. From the chic crocodile print embossing of the suede exterior to the innovative golden hardware, this flap bag is a complete show stopper. Organization is a breeze, thanks to three sizeable interior compartments and a large zippered pocket. For a simple transition from day to evening, simply remove the detachable shoulder strap. Horse+Nail Handbags Featured on Weeds

As many of you may remember, we've been following Horse+Nail for a couple of years now, and witnessing the progress of the brand has been quite thrilling. I simply adore Lindsey Hufnagel's equestrian meets rocker chic design aesthetic, and apparently so does the wardrobe stylist for Weeds. That's right! Mary-Louise Parker wore two styles from the Spring Summer 2012 collection on a recent episode of the hit television series.

The Billy Joe Tote is crafted out of supple pebbled lambskin and features a roped handle as well as an oversized wooden button toggle closure. The Billy Tote is one of my personal favorites, because the simple design is accented with a dramatic sterling silver snaffle bit shoulder strap. Don't forget to add a tassel for added ornamentation. Alexander Wang Pelican Satchel

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Pelican Satchel is my favorite Alexander Wang bag yet. Wang may have embraced luxury this season, but he couldn't escape his signature downtown cool. For instance, the lattice embossed detailing of the Frenchbull variation was inspired by industrial metal crates, but in this classic shape, it's undeniably sophisticated. Shimmering golden hardware completes the luxurious look. The light beige hue of the smooth vachetta leather version is a wonderful neutral for any season and it will undoubtedly patina beautifully. As I was flipping through the September Issue of ELLE Magazine, I came across a captivating article about legendary artist, James Jean. You may not remember his name, but I'm certain you'll recall the gorgeous Prada Fairy Bags that featured his enchanting murals. He is known for masterfully blending whimsy with mystery and darkness.

After being commissioned by one of the most esteemed designers in the world, it's only fitting that Jean would continue transforming his breathtaking work into wearable art. Kirna Zabête at Target [VIDEO + LOOKBOOK]

As most of you know, I've been an avid fan of Kirna Zabete for years. Owners Sarah Easley and Beth Buccini are known for curating one of the best collections of designer clothing in New York City. Their boutique is often frequented by celebrities, and editors can't get enough of their unique perspective on fashion.

The Shops at Target debuted last season and I, for one, enjoyed the concept and picked up a few items from The Webster's collection. With their unparalleled taste in fashion, it was only fitting that Target would invite Kirna Zabete to create a Fall collection.

Of course, the lookbook was a bit overly styled, but one can't deny that quite a few of these chic separates are instant must-haves for the season. I simply adore the mix of patterns and prints, and unlike many diffusion lines of yesteryear, the accessories don't appear to be an afterthought.
