Mike Overcast Baja Racing News LIVE! a well known liecast host, slanderous and defamatory wanna reporter, most banned person in off-road, multi times conman, content thief and plagiarism master and intellectual property molester now moving on (more below on that) to steal and re-publish webcasts of other publishers at other weblocations. Honest by hard work created podcasts by folks that spend time and money to build their webcasts. One of his latest victims was Jim Beaver. At least the man showed some backbone and clearly distanced him from the scamcaster hoM.O.vercast (in lieu to some other hosts that, for years get insulated and accused yet decide to keep head deep in sand while the sport suffers already. Little lame-arse hurting the sport more with false propaganda and more lies dont matter even if that makes it into the main media... yeah right, you guys NOT acting: dream on when you have nothing to report anymore)

Mike Overcast and his slanderous digital rainbow-media publication, known for years to steal (yes he is a thief, we have proof as we are victims of multiple of his thefts) and publish modified images with the help of Google, to falsify search results with malicious clicking schemes. He does so with the help of individuals and companies which been made aware of his ethical lowlife and criminal activities (yes, stealing is considered a crime and he has several case outside the USA for theft pending). He is supported by companies like "Powerstride Battery" and on of their managers at the San Diego location. He also get's heavy support by Alan Kohl and MotorMexico.com

So the next time you in business of a vehicle battery or Mexican automobile insurance you may think of the "Whore*Cocksuckers" manipulated image by Overcast that he displayed in connection with the McMillins and Daileys names connected to it. he uses this names to appear in search results and does that way, with the help from Google falsifies search results and gives a total wrong image of the off-road community when searchers follow that fake results.
of course he does so cause he know that the most of the people dont take any actions despite the fact that they are in the USA. Remember: the legal system in the US supports ambulance chasers and cases where you can sue McDonald for 7 million dollars cause they sold you cafe that you spilled over your own legs and it was hot......

However, you dont do anything when your wife or girl-friend is titled a "Whore*Cocksucker" in a public image and he knows that, and he knows also which he can play this games with.
Look at all the many cases over many years he been stealing, defrauding and lying and only very little people do anything about it. More image below.

The second image above shows how his publication appeared in the search results until he removed it again (he is monitoring his websites very closely and acts instant when busted with the fingers in the cookie-char. Additional, as said below,he knows most people do not take any action and not mind if their name is thrown into the dirt. In this case you can see he uses McMillins, a San Diego developer and well known family in motorsports and Baja racing as well Dailey Engineering as Overcast has a history of bashing Patric Dailey

To sad cause it does shine negative at the off-road sport. People that do nothing about such things are yellow cowards and who wants to be in a sport or recreational activity that is occupied by spineless individuals??? Get the point??

What death threats?? A post from a third party you felt was a violent threat against you that was removed. Why are you so sensitive?? He has problem,s to differentiate between who he is and what other people are. In general this is also named plagiarism (stealing of content). Nothing new with slanderous Mike Overcast, he is known for years for stealing. However, here he offers services that are basically mirror MAG 7 pit services. We believe, he is in best hoM.O. ways out there fishing for a few bucks i.e. try to screw somebody since he neither has the infrastructure to do so nor the support required (a f@#$% up piece if Ford Bronco just does not do it Douche.....) besides: that thing is been looked for by some federalis to can your arse, lock you away and throw they keys into the Sea of Cortez....

The purpose of this re-post is to show that most recent (18th. April 2011) slander/libel by Mike Overcast is unjustified and we are almost certain any accusations by Overcast made against anybody are a fantasy of his sick brain. Get some help Overcast, you need it.....

Many of you have heard about Mike Overcast and the blog site Baja Racing News that he operates under the alias Gary Newsome. For those of you who haven't heard of him you might find this interesting. This is the short version.... And I am only referring to him as Mike Overcast because that is his real name.

Mike Overcast was a member of RDC under the username Cabo500. He was later banned permanently for contacting our advertisers attempting to interfere with our business. Many people and RDC members have had issues with Mike and some of them talked about it on RDC.
Mike asked for many things to be removed, some were and some were not. There was a post that Mike felt was a violent threat against him and it was later removed. (Although we did not see it as "life threatening" as he did). That was one of the reasons he called and emailed our advertisers, claiming they support violence by advertising with us. When anyone signs up on RDC you agree to many conditions and one of them is that the owners & operators of this site are not obligated to moderate this forum and we are not responsible for what is posted here. Maybe Mike didn't read that part?

Since being banned Mike Overcast (aka Gary Newsome) has expressed himself by continuing to write untrue stories about myself, Klaus and many people that we do business with. Not to mention many other good people in the sport. For the last 6 to 8 months his name and website were even filtered out on RDC. We felt that if no one was talking about him here and everything posted in the past was gone, then any reasonable person would not continue to attack us as he has. We were wrong!

Mike Overcasts latest claim against me is that I am responsible for a picture of himself that has homosexual references put on top of it, and that I created the Myspace, Twitter accounts among other web sites that are attacks against him. I have no involvement in any of those sites, accounts or pictures. Why would I waste my time on childish attacks against Mike? I don't have the time for it and never will. I wasn't even sure I should waste time writing this right now because there is content for RDC and DP that is suffering for the time I am wasting on Mike Overcast. Mike, not everyone stoops to your level. If you are such a great news reporter you should do a better job investigating to find out who is creating all of that content about yourself.

He also claims that I am not operating my business (Juice Designs) in Oceanside with a permit. And didn't pay the .50 cents for every $1000 made in tax. (it's .0005 not .50 BTW...) This is not true, I have had a business license with the City of Oceanside since I moved here. My latest payment that was mailed before the due date has been received by the city and will clear today or tomorrow. And Mike, don't bother claiming that your "story" made me run down to the city and get a business license. My payment for my existing license was mailed last month. Call again and do some of that great investigation work that you do. While you are at it, ask how long I have had the license. But they probably won't tell you anything unless you commit fraud and impersonate me. Basically Mike got lucky on the timing of his call, and with the long holiday weekend the City had not posted my check yet. Am I in trouble, am I breaking the law? No, the city confirmed they have my payment and everything is fine.

Mike Overcast also claimed that Klaus was operating RDC for years without a business license. This is also untrue. Klaus was simply past due on payment and paid the small late fee and the city said thank you. And within the last year a LLC was also created that RDC operates under.
Mike also claims that Klaus is operating RDC as a non-profit organization. When RDC was first created there was no money being made. At the time Klaus put something like non-profit site on RDC somewhere. He never officially filed with the state or government as a non-profit organization. If he did that, then yes he would have been breaking the law the day he started to make a profit. It's no secret that RDC has had advertisers for years now. It would not be possible to operate RDC without our advertisers and we appreciate their continued support. RDC is not a "non-profit" organization.

Mike Overcast also claims that myself and RDC are ruining CORR somehow. If CORR had a problem with us I'm sure we would be the first to hear about it, and it would be directly from CORR not Mike. I am also sure Scott Rehn would not be a member on RDC and posting regularly in our short course section if they had an issue with us. It's a shame that anyone can come across Mike's blog and read false information, especially people that don't know Klaus Rasch, Curtis Guise or Jim Holthus from TORR and they might actually believe those stories.

Mike Overcast also brings up the Metalica song we played with some of our footage showing at a couple of our DP6 premieres. Last I heard clubs can play whatever music they want. We are not selling DP6 with a Metalica song included and we never claimed to. We license the music we use in our DVDs that we sell.

Mike Overcast also says that our lawyer told him that I lied to him? Really, about what? How is that possible when Mike continues to ignore the cease & desist that was sent to him? The lawyer talked to him one time months ago, and Mike has ignored the issue ever since.

In a recent email to our advertisers Mike claims that we are influencing the marketing decisions of our advertisers by telling them not to advertise on his site. Again, I don't have the time to waste on childish games like this. Our advertisers were not happy to hear you suggest they can't make their own business decisions. If they or anyone want to spend their money with you that is up to them. I am not here telling anyone to not do business with, or not to read the blog called Baja Racing News. Within minutes of reading Mike Overcasts blog, I am sure people can decide for themselves if they believe what he is writing or think that it is quality content or not.

I have a couple of questions for Mike Overcast. Why do you continue to claim that you are not Gary Newsome (or the many other names you go by)? I know many people that have received phone calls from "Gary" and it was from Mike's home phone number.
Why have you been banned from just about every offroad forum on the web? (maybe all of them by now?)
Why do you continue to copy stories that people post on RDC and many other off-road sites and post them as Baja Racing News "exclusive" stories on your blog? Also taking peoples pictures and putting your logo on the top of them is copyright infringement the last time I checked... It's a good thing people can click on the "flag blog" button at the top of your blog to file a complaint to blogspot if that does happen. It is not "fair use" as I'm sure you claim.
You put up stories written by many people (modifying them to meet your own agenda) and we have been told by many of those people that they want nothing to do with you or your blog. Why do you continue to take what is not yours?

Like I said in the beginning this is the short version of what has been happening with Mike Overcast. Doing a google search brings up tons of information about him that I am not about to add to this thread. Unfortunately it is very hard to find anything positive about him. I would say he should quit while he can and try to salvage his reputation but it's probably long past that point.

It must feel bad to not be welcomed on the largest desert racing site on the web. Maybe that is Mike's motivation for the continued attacks? Who knows... I'm not even sure if Mike knows. I have never talked to him other than one quick introduction over a year ago. I have never said anything bad about him on RDC. If I wanted to talk bad about Mike Overcast RDC would be the place to do it. Not all these Myspace sites and pictures that he is saying I created.

Does Mike's continued attacks bother me. Sure it they do, but only until I realize that I am a better person by not doing the same to him. This is not meant as an attack towards Mike, I am just trying to lay out the facts.

I have sat back and watched Mike Overcast write BS about me for long enough. (I'm sure there are topics I missed) So this is my story. Believe me? That is up to you. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what is good quality content on the web. If you think Mike Overcast creates quality content that is your decision. Let's see what he writes about me next... I don't expect it to stop. Mike, go ahead and continue to make yourself look like a fool.

It's all stupid crap we write in shitty english that nobody reads anyway so we figured we do a little more as well promote you and your business since you show so much appreciation for the time we devote for you and your slanderous activities. I mean stealing from our friends is one thing (we have all the proof so we dare you to challenge that) since you obviously differentiate about the different rights as of copyrights, intellectual property rights etc. You are an amazing individual Mike Overcast, multiple personalities and multiple standards.

All your data can be found online at the United States bankruptcy court, at the Arizona Court system online (you know the unpaid tickets some time back) and other sources so get a grip man and quit your whining. Mike Overcast is a racist and hater as one more known race car driver put it not long ago. Also a while back he insulted not only a individuals but his child, the mother of the kid and his father. This people often cannot say as the wish cause of their corporate responsibility. However ones in a while even they have enough and we obtained a statement. of course - in best Overcast style "we will not disclose the origin of that statement" but he assured: it's a rather well-known personality in off-road racing.

If you look at the hundreds of offroad races that have been conducted in the recent past you will see that an accident like this does not happen often resulting is loss of life.

Lets clear this 15mph rule up right away. Race vehicles DO NOT have to travel at 15mph near spectators.

Vehicle Code Section 38310 Prima Facie Speed Limit: "The prima facie speed limit within 50 feet of any campground, campsite, or concentration of people or animals shall be 15 miles per hour unless changed as authorized by this code and, if so changed, only when signs have been erected giving notice thereof." This applies to ALL off-highway vehicles.

Under VC Section 38006 Off Highway Vehicle Defined: "As used in this division, an "off-highway motor vehicle" is any of the following: (a) A motor vehicle subject to the provisions of subdivision (a) of Section 38010. (b) A motor vehicle registered under Section 4000, when such motor vehicle is operated on land to which this division has application. (c) A motor vehicle owned or operated by a nonresident of this state, whether or not such motor vehicle is identified or registered in a foreign jurisdiction, when such motor vehicle is operated on lands to which this division has application.

(a) Except as otherwise provided in subdivision (b), every motor vehicle specified in Section 38012 that is not registered under this code because it is to be operated or used exclusively off the highways, except as provided in this division, shall be issued and display an identification plate or device issued by the department. It is incredible that media like 10News gives any credibility to Mike Overcast withour even investigating his background, it is obvious that the professionalism of serious editorial writers and journalist is in question.
Mr. Overcast has a very dark past, he is a self proclaimed "expert". Who in the Off-Road industry can back up and support him. Baja Racing News is well known to mislead information, lie and defamate the honor of serious and responsible people that are respected by the Off-Road racing community. He has legal actions pending against him in Mexico due to the several frauds that he has done against people in this sport.

10News please double check Mr. Overcast's credibility and correct or clarify the information given to your viewers and followers, otherwise your credibility will be seriously questioned.

2. Regarding the accident this past weekend. There is no cure for "stupid." And that's what those people standing so close to the racecourse are/were...I can't think of anything else I can say about them.
3. The entire off-road community is devastated, not only because lives were lost and badly injured but because this will set our sport back years, undeservingly so, but terrible for our sport nonetheless.
4. We also feel the pain that those dear to the departed are suffering. What a shame!

Lastly, this country is well known for over-reacting when a major catastrophe occurs. You mean to say that in a RACE, there is a speed limit 10 MPH less than in a residential neighborhood? It is a race, which means you go as fast as you can. The only speed limit I have ever heard of is on Mexican Paved Roads of 60 MPH, or in a designated pit area (and those are very rare in this sport). I'm sorry, of course this a horrible tragedy, but I will be the first to say that crowd should have been further away from the track. Are the drivers of these vehicles supposed to stop their race when they see people near the track slam on brakes to go 15 mph, there for possibly causing another crash if the racer behind him isn't quick enough to do the same?? I say the people to point fingers at is A. MDR for not properly baracading off the race track at the 100ft the on lookers are supposed to be safe at....and B. Anyone who thinks its smart to be within 5ft (if that) to off road vehicles traveling at high speeds. There is always a risk of being a fan and onlooker at these types of events, and would hope that the "authorities" take all that for what its worth before they put Brett through any more than what he has to live with already. Where were these "proper authorities" when the race was going on? They should have been there to make sure all the rules on both on the track and off were being upheld.

Mike Overcast knows nothing....
A friend called to tell me that Mike Overcast was on TV talking about the racing accident. Mike Overcast is not an off-road racing expert. He have never driven a race car in a race nor owned a race team. He HAS done everything in his power to hurt the sport of desert racing in the US and Baja. He also goes to great lengths to hurt Baja tourism. He has a horrible reputation in the off road racing community and in Baja. Why does channel 10 let him go no tv and also print the crap that he says. PLEASE check your sources....he is a know con man with many law suits against him. Run a background check on this guy and you will see. Shame on you channel 10. Another reason not to watch channel 10 in San Diego. Mike Overcast steals other peoples content and posts it on him lame website - no expert we assure you.

As basically known is the "Gary Newsome" name used by fraudulent Mike Overcast whoever, a person in his fantasy, let's leave that open for now. One thing is sure: it is NOT the person he describes and has a link to on his website. The below screen-shot are e-mails from the REAL Gary Newsome in Virgina which was contacted from one of the Mike Overcaster correctional team member. We all make sure damages done by Mike Gary Overcast to the off-road sport and to Baja California are limited as much as possible.

The content of the mails is self-explaining and we do not need to comment much on it. it is basically nothing new that "Monster Mike" as he like to call himself is a conman.His references to being hated for "exposing" are 100% Grade A Bull-Shit!! Stealing content and images, re-editing and posting under his name is one of the reasons he is not liked. References to a race 5 years back in La Paz..... hahahaha, their are still folks waiting for their price money we understand. "Fraudster Mike"

Ensenada newspaper, elvigia.net, shows his standing within the Mexican folks (yet there are a punch of fishy people within Baja Sur racing organizations that deal with him, even if they deny that publicly - the kind of people that is in racing to pull money out of the sport and profile them self without putting anything back in to sport.....)

Blurred out sections in the e-mail screen shots cover description of ongoing procedures. When this legal actions done this mails will be published in full / unblurred.

I got in touch with the real Gary Newsome to verify some fact for an ongoing procedure. He was very easy to find, after all he has "his" website, incl. link at hoM.O.'s B.S. site.

They guy is a writer and was very surprised. He received a few hater mails in the past but never investigated why. Below are excerpts from mails from the "real" Gary Newsome from Virgina. in particular the last excerpt I received this morning is interesting. (3 warrants, which is not correct since there are 4, but the guy covers only the US I assume)
B.t.w. this guy is a writer and quiet serious to make sure abuse of his name comes to and end and will take steps whatever he can to do so.....
We all know that aka was a fake, however, good to have it as a statement on the internet to be picket up by search-engines and placed in search results together with bajaracingnews.com....... (important: not baja-racing-news.com ~ that has nothing to do with hoM.O. and acts as a whistle-blower)

It was certainly an interesting conversation today as I have never before been contacted through a WHOIS search, but I would indeed like to help in your efforts to restrain Mr. hoM.O. (I replace the name with hoM.O., it just suits better ....)
I attest that I do not now or have ever known hoM.O. of Bonita, California, anyone else by that name, or have had any knowledge of him or Baja Racing News until 21 October 2010. My only times in California were a brief posting at Vandenberg Air Force Base in 1982 and while visitng friends in 1986. I also attest that, until our telephone conversation, I had no knowledge of his using my name or any others to distribute any intellectual property to which he did not hold copyright. I did not at any time authorize hoM.O. or any other party to use my web site or identity for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, and consider this usage of both to be harmful.
I'm grateful for the links you supplied me and happy to see he has been exposed, but you might also ask your solicitors to consider ........... of the United States Code, which covers criminal activity. It might be possible, based on the number of people involved and the nature of ........., to consider this under the ................ Act. It's been awhile, but I believe the citation is .........., and an interesting aspect is that it also allows aggrieved parties to file suit in civil court. The mention of the ......... is often sufficient.
I will likely be unable to file a civil suit here in Virginia because it will be difficult to show loss or damages, but I plan to look at options. I'll keep you informed and I thank you for calling me.

It appears his real name is .......... ......... .......... ......., has warrants for arrest pending in three states, and filed for bankruptcy in 2009. It appears Overcast is rather well known in San Diego and the off-road community. They've gotten quite good at spotting a new alias, and tracking his old ones.
I'll pass along anything else.
(I could not verify this info but I know this are paid for research results and the input given to researcher makes it almost certain it is anybody else....)

There will be more very interesting news right after the Baja 1000 in regard of hoM.O. as well the entities cooperating with him in the US and Mexico..... quiet interesting to see some of the double faced cowards hanging out in the sport, making money of the sport and buddy up with that ethical deprived lowlife....
