ایک باپردہ عورت نے فرانس کی ایک سپرمارکیٹ سے خریداری کی اور اس کے بعد وہ عورت پیسوں کی ادائیگی کیلئے لائن میں کھڑی ہو گئی۔ اپنی باری آنے پر وہ چیک آؤٹ کاؤنٹرآئی، جہاں اسے رقم ادا کرنا تھی، وہاں اس نے اپنا سامان ایک ایک کر کے کاؤنٹر پر رکھ دیا۔ چیک آؤٹ پر کھڑی ایک بے پردہ مسلم لڑکی نے اس خاتون کی چیزیں ایک ایک کر کے اٹھائیں، اور ان کی قیمتوں کا جائزہ لینے لگی۔
تھوڑی دیر بعد اس نے نقاب والی خاتون گ

اہک کی طرف ناراضی سے دیکھا اور کہنے لگی! ہمیں اس ملک میں کئی مسائل کا سامنا ہے، ان مسائل میں ایک مسئلہ تمہارا نقاب ہے۔ ہم یہاں تجارت کرنے کے لئے آئے ہیں نہ کہ اپنا دین اور تاریخ دکھانے کے لئے۔ وہ مسلم عرب عورت جو نام نہاد روشن خیال تھی اپنی بے ہودہ تقریر جھاڑے جا رہی تھی کہ اگر تم اپنے دین پر عمل کرنا چاہتی ہو اور نقاب پہننا ضروری سمجھتی ہو تو اپنے ملک واپس چلی جاؤ، جہاں جو تمہارا دل چاہے کر سکتی ہو۔ وہاں نقاب پہنو، برقع پہنو، ٹوپی والا برقع پہنو، جو چاہے کرو مگر یہاں رہ کر ہم لوگوں کے لئے مسائل مت پیدا کرو....
نقاب پہننے والی خاتون ایک مسلم عورت کے منہ سے نکلنے والے الفاظ پر دم بخود ہو کر رہ گئی۔ اپنے سامان کو بیگ میں رکھتے ہوئے اس کے ہاتھ رک گئے اور اچانک اس نے اپنے چہرے سے نقاب الٹ دیا، کاؤنٹر پر کھڑی لڑکی اس کا چہرہ دیکھ کر حیران رہ گئی کیونکہ نقاب والی لڑکی کے بال سنہری اور آنکھیں نیلی تھیں، اس نے کاؤنٹر والی سے کہا ”میں فرانسیسی لڑکی ہو نہ کہ عرب مہاجر، یہ میرا ملک ہے، میں مسلمان ہوں.... اسلام میرا دین ہے، یہ نسلی دین نہیں ہے کہ تم اس کی مالک ہو، یہ میرا دین ہے اور میرا اسلام مجھے یہی سبق دیتا ہے جو میں کر رہی ہو۔ میرا دین مجھے پردے کا حکم کادیتا ہے تم نسلی مسلمان ہو کر ہمارے یہاں کے غیر مسلموں سے مر عوب ہو، دنیا کی خاطر خوف میں مبتلا ہو، مجھے کسی کا خوف نہیں ہے۔مجھے صرف اپنے اللہ کا خوف ہے اور اپنے پیارے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حکم سے محبت ہے ، اور حکم کو پورا کرنے میں مجھے کسی کی پرواہ نہیں ہے ،
اس فرانسیسی نو مسلم عورت کے یہ لفظ تو بے پردہ مسلم عورتوں کے منہ پر طمانچہ تھے کہ تم پیدائشی مسلمانوں نے دنیا کے بدلے اپنا دین بیچ دیا ہے اور ہم نے تم سے خرید لیا ہے۔

کیا یہ الفاظ ہمارے منہ پر بھی طمانچہ ہیں

بیت اللہ شریف میں غلاف کعبہ تبدیل کر دیا گیا۔سونے، چاندی اور خالص ریشم سے بنائے گئے غلاف کی تیاری پر دو کروڑ سعودی ریال لاگت آئی۔ رقم خادم الحرمین الشرفین شاہ عبد اللہ نے اپنی جیب سے ادا کی ۔

غلاف کعبہ بیت اللہ کی عظمت و شرف تعزیم و تکریم اور کبریائی کا مظہر ہے۔ خانہ کعبہ کی دیواروں کو سیاہ رنگ کے نفیس ریشمی دھاگوں سے تیار کردہ کپڑے سے ڈھانپا جاتا ہے جسے عربی میں کسوا کہتے ہیں۔ اس مقدس غلاف کی تیاری میں چھ سو ستر کلو گرام خالص ریشم ایک سو بیس کلو سونا اور پچاس کلو چاندی کی باریک تاروں کا استعمال کیا گیا ہے۔ غلاف پر اللہ عزو جل کے اسماء حسنہ، قرآنی آیات، انتہائی باریک بینی و نفاست سے کندہ کیے گئے ہیں۔ خانہ کعبہ کی عظمت و جلا ل کے پیش نظر غلاف کو یکتائے روزگار بنانے کے لیے شاہ عبد العزیز نے تیرہ سو چھیالیس ہجری کو مکہ مکرمہ میں فیکٹری کا سنگ بنیاد رکھا ۔تیرہ سو بیاسی ہجری میں خادم الحرمین الشریفن شاہ فیصل نے باقاعدہ فیکٹری کے قیام کا حکم نامہ جاری کیا اور تیرہ سو ستانوے ہجری میں فیکٹری کی جدید عمارت کو خود کار مشینوں اور آلات سے مزین کر دیا گیا۔ اس سے قبل غلاف کعبہ روایتی طریقوں سے تیار کیا جاتا تھا ۔غلاف کعبہ ہر سال نو ذی الحج کو تبدیل کیا جاتا ہے۔

Ghilaf-e-Kaba replaced .

The ceremony of replacing Ghilaf-e-Kaba attended by the management of Haram Sharif representing of Kings of Saudi Arabia and the representatives of the factory, which manufactured the Ghilaf-e-Kaba.

Ghilaf-e-Kaba has been decorated with pure silk, gold, and calligraphy of verses of the Holy Quran.

The old Ghilaf will be torn into pieces and will be gifted to the heads of different Islamic countries

From Bosnia to Makkah to do Hajj on Foot

A Bosnian Muslim pilgrim who left last December on pilgrimage to Makkah by foot told AFP on Monday that he has arrived after passing through seven countries including war-torn Syria.

“I arrived Saturday in Makkah. I am not tired, these are the best days of my life,” Senad Hadzic, 47, said when reached by phone on a Saudi mobile number.

He said he had covered some 5,700 kilometres (3,540 miles) in 314 days of walking through Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Syria and Jordan to the Muslim holy city in south-western Saudi Arabia, with a backpack weighing 20 kilos (44 pounds).

He charted his progress on his Facebook page, where he posted a picture apparently of an entry/exit card for foreigners issued by the Syrian interior ministry.

“I passed through Syria in April. I walked some 500 kilometres in 11 days. I went through Aleppo and Damascus and passed dozens of check-points held by pro-government and rebel forces alike, but I was never detained,” Hadzic said.

“At a check-point held by (President Bashar) al-Assad’s forces the soldier ordered me to empty my backpack … When I showed them my Quran and explained I was making the pilgrimage on foot, they let me go,” he told AFP.

“I walked in the name of Allah, for Islam, for Bosnia-Hercegovina, for my parents and my sister,” he added.

On his Facebook page he said God had shown him the way in dreams, including to go through Syria instead of Iraq.

During the pilgrimage, Hadzic faced temperatures ranging from minus 35 Celsius in Bulgaria to plus 44 Celsius in Jordan.

He said he had to wait in Istanbul for several weeks to get permission to cross the Bosphorus Bridge on foot and two months at the border between Jordan and Saudi Arabia to obtain an entry visa.

The hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and must be undertaken at least once in a lifetime by all Muslims who are able to.

Will the real kasai please stand up?

With Eid-ul-Azha here, I understand how important it is to find a good butcher. Without one, the whole experience of qurbani(sacrifice) can be pain-staking and painful to watch. For many years now, I have gone out to find good kasais (butchers) for my family. I have thus gathered valuable tips to tell the real kasaifrom the fake one. So here are the key points you must keep in mind while looking for one:

1 – Original Kasais never wear jeans and shirts. Don’t judge a Kasai by his clothes – gauge their value by their work and experience

2- Whilee looking for a kasai, make sure to examine his knives. If they are shiny and new then the chances are that they have been purchased just before Eid, meaning that the butcher you are looking at has had virtually no experience.

3- Original kasais never negotiate, whereas the occasional Kasai will haggle tooth and nail to impress you. Focus on quality not on the amount of money you have to spend.It is Eid qurbani after all, not just any small occasion

4- Occasional kasais will be readily available on all three days of Eid, on traffic junctions and street corners. Beware, originalkasais are booked way in advance on all three days.

5- The time taken for a qurbani is also a good indicator to tell if your butcher is an expert or a fake. 7 – 10 seconds is the time an original kasai will take to slaughter a goat, whereas a fake one will shiver, second-guess himself, and take a lot longer.

6- Give an expert any place to do his work, and he will not utter a single complaint. Original kasais will not worry about the location and will get straight to business. The occasional kasai, on the other hand, will whimper and whine and ask if there is any better place than the one provided.

7- Another quick tip; check his mouth. Gross, I know, but the truekasai will have teeth stained with gutka, paan and mainpuri. The one who is trying to trick you will be as clean as a whistle.

8- Make sure you check the shalwar of your kasai for actual blood. Many try to fool you by red paint or food colour.

9- Original Kasais do not, I repeat, do not SMS during qurbani.

10- Watch out for kasais that don’t talk about their qurabniexperiences. An original kasai will mostly talk about mehangai(inflation), politics and will share qurbani stories.

Finally, and most importantly, an original kasai will never ask you for any meat or qurbani ki khaal (hide of the animal slaughtered) and will happily take the lower intestine and digestive parts.

To provide further help, I have compiled a short list of rates of original kasais for reference:

PECHS, Tariq Road, Bahadurabad and adjoining areas (Rs1500- 2200) – mostly original.

Defence and Clifton (Rs2500 and up) – high chances of running in to fake kasais.

Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauher and adjoining areas (Rs800 – 1500) – mostly original.

North Nazimabad, Nazimabad and adjoining areas (Rs800 – 1200) – mostly original

So, with that, my advice comes to an end. Don’t be fooled this year and do your homework. Have a Blessed Eid and happy kasai-finding!
