Ravens Head Coach Jesse Minter and Executive Vice President and General Manager Eric DeCosta speak to the media after day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Baltimore fans, It is time to get hyped because Eric DeCosta just put on an absolute masterclass on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft! Following the Day 1 selection of Penn State "mauler" Vega Ioane, the Ravens stayed true to their "best player available" mantra at pick No. 45, snagging Missouri edge rusher Zion Young. This dude is a physical specimen who sets a hard edge and has a relentless motor that fits the Ravens' defensive culture perfectly—expect him to be a nightmare for AFC North quarterbacks alongside our veteran rushers.

Then, at pick No. 80, the front office went back to the offensive side of the ball, securing Ja'Kobi Lane, the towering 6'4" wide receiver from USC who provides Lamar Jackson with a massive red-zone target and a dynamic vertical threat. With these additions to the Baltimore Ravens roster, the Flock has addressed critical needs at edge and wideout with high-ceiling talent, proving once again why this organization is the gold standard for draft-day value!

The Baltimore Ravens just made a major statement in the trenches by selecting Olaivavega Ioane in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, a move that perfectly aligns with the "Play Like a Raven" DNA. Standing at a mountain of a man with elite lateral agility, Ioane is the foundational piece this offensive line needs to solidify the protection for Lamar Jackson and pave lanes for the ground game.

Adding a powerhouse like Ioane ensures that the Ravens front five remains one of the most physical groups in the AFC North, providing the essential bulk and high-motor intensity required to win late into January. As the Ravens continue to prioritize dominance in the trenches, this pick signals a clear commitment to a smash-mouth identity that will keep Baltimore a force in the NFL for the forseeable future.

The blockbuster transaction that would send superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens has officially collapsed in a surprising turn of events. Although a historic transaction involving two first-round picks (2026 and 2027) had been agreed upon in principle by the Raiders and Ravens, the trade was cancelled today, March 10, 2026, after Crosby allegedly failed his medical exam with the Ravens.

The 28-year-old defensive end was anticipated to be the centerpiece of a redesigned Ravens defense under new coach Jesse Minter. He had surgery in January to repair a damaged meniscus. Instead, "Mad Maxx" stays—for the time being—on a Las Vegas roster that has already started using the cap space his departure was scheduled to produce, and Baltimore reclaims its draft capital. This medical obstacle throws one of the NFL's major offseason storylines into complete turmoil, with other suitors like the Cowboys allegedly reluctant to re-engage.

The 2012 Baltimore Ravens cemented their legacy in NFL history with a legendary "Last Ride" postseason run that culminated in a thrilling victory in Super Bowl XLVII. It was the only Superbowl victory under the 18 year tenure of former Ravens coach John Harbaugh. Led by Hall of Famers Ray Lewis, who announced his retirement prior to the playoffs, and Ed Reed, the Ravens' defense provided the emotional heart of the team, while quarterback Joe Flacco delivered one of the greatest postseasons ever seen, throwing 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

From the "Mile High Miracle" in Denver to the goal-line stand against the 49ers in the Superdome, the 2012 squad proved that resilience and veteran leadership are the ultimate championship ingredients. This iconic season remains a cornerstone of Baltimore sports culture, celebrating the franchise's second world title and the end of a golden era for the Ravens' defensive identity.

Over 300 hopefuls vie for coveted spot on Baltimore Ravens cheer team

SportsCenter's Adam Schefter and Louis Riddick discuss the Baltimore Ravens' trade of two first-round picks to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for Maxx Crosby.

In response to the shocking announcement that the Las Vegas Raiders are trading outstanding pass rusher Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens, Rob Parker, Martin Weiss, and Rob G discuss their key insights from the historic transaction.

One of the NFL's most effective edge rushers, Crosby has been the Raiders' defensive face for years. He has been selected to several Pro Bowls and routinely ranks among the league leaders in tackles for loss and pressures. He will now travel to Baltimore to support a Ravens defense that already takes pride in its physicality and pass rush.

The Baltimore Ravens acquire Maxx Crosby in exchange for two first-round picks!

In Las Vegas, the Maxx Crosby era is finished. 🏴‍☠️ Steve Smith Sr. and James Palmer delve into the front office reasoning as the Raiders formally shift to a comprehensive reconstruction under John Spytek. Steve explains how these "business first" decisions, such as the one George Pickens is making, can cause a huge rift in the locker room.

Even though the Baltimore Ravens had a talented roster and were favorites to be Superbowl contenders at start of the 2025 NFL season, the Ravens didn't even make the playoffs. Here are the top 10 reasons that the Ravens won't be playing in the Superbowl today:

1.) Lamar Jackson's injuries — which included hamstring, back, knee, ankle, and toe issues—caused the 2 time league MVP to miss four games and play at a reduced level in others, making this his least productive season and keeping the offense from its full potential.

2.) Horrible 1–5 Start — The Ravens had their worst start to the season since 2015, with a protracted losing streak that left a hole that was too big to dig out of even with improvements later in the season.

3.) Anemic Pass Rush and Defensive Regression — The defense only produced 30 sacks, tied for third-fewest, and put pressure on 32.1% of dropbacks, ranking 29th in the NFL. Important losses to the interior line, such as Nnamdi Madubuike, revealed weaknesses against the pass.

4.) Offensive Line Failures — The O-line was hampered by poor offseason decisions, which resulted in uneven protection, a decline in run blocking, and the primary cause of Jackson's injury problems.

5.) Execution Errors and Turnovers — The squad was plagued by costly errors in every phase, particularly in close games and late scenarios, including fumbles, poor time management, and penalties.

6.) Historic Home Game Struggles — The Ravens lost six home games, the most in the team's history, as they were unable to dominate in front of fans and lost their intimidating advantage at M&T Bank Stadium.

7.) Inability to Close Games — During the Week 18 division-deciding defeat to the Steelers, rookie kicker Tyler Loop missed a 44-yard field goal as time ran out, demonstrating the team's recurring failure to close games or blow late leads.

8.) Underutilization of Derrick Henry — Derrick Henry was not used to his full potential because, in the second half of crucial games, the offense frequently gave up on the run game, which limited Henry's effect when it counted most.

9.) Poor Performance Against Winning Teams — Baltimore's 2-7 record against winning teams revealed a lack of "killer instinct" and an inability to compete with good opponents.

10.) Overall Underperformance of a Talented Roster — Despite having six Pro Bowl players and anticipation of winning the Super Bowl in the preseason, the club was unable to play complimentary football consistently, which led to a disappointing collapse and, for the first time since 2021, a postseason absence.

Through defensive skill and strategic leadership, Mike Macdonald has rejuvenated the Seattle Seahawks in just two seasons, turning them into a formidable team and a real Super Bowl candidate. Following a strong 10–7 start in 2024, Macdonald guided the team to a commanding 14–3 record in 2025, earning the NFC West title and the top seed in the conference—the team's best record since their 2014 championship run.

His "Dark Side" defense, which leads the NFL in scoring defense (17.2 points per game) and has a remarkable 14-2 road record that is among the finest starts for any coach in NFL history, has become the league's gold standard. The league's youngest head coach has effectively transitioned from the Pete Carroll era into a new era of supremacy by fusing sophisticated schematics with a "team-first" attitude, as seen by a recent thrilling playoff victory over the 49ers and a highly anticipated trip to the NFC Championship game.

After defeatinf the Rams 31 to 27 to win the NFC Championship game today, this impressive head coach is headed to the Superbowl.

The Baltimore Ravens are actively looking for a replacement head coach who possesses strong leadership traits, such as the capacity to hold players accountable while effectively relating to them, knowledge of strategic X's and Os, firmness in decision-making, and a dedication to maintaining the team's winning culture, after deciding to fire longtime head coach John Harbaugh after 18 seasons. Together with President Sashi Brown and Executive Vice President Ozzie Newsome, General Manager Eric DeCosta is overseeing a thorough hiring process that includes preliminary virtual interviews with about 20 applicants.

In order to secure a hire that maintains Baltimore's competitive edge in the AFC North, the Ravens prioritize a coach who can maximize quarterback Lamar Jackson's talents and elevate the already talented roster. Jackson himself will receive updates following each interview and is expected to participate in finalist meetings. Owner Steve Bisciotti will offer input on finalists but defer primary decision-making to the front office trio.

Imagine if John Harbaugh and Mike Tomlin Traded Places!

Now that John Harbaugh has been fired as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens and Mike Tomlin has stepped down as the HC of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the NFL head coaching gold rush just got more interesting. Imagine if the Baltimore Ravens acquired Mike Tomlin from their bitter rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Steelers retaliate by luring John Harbaugh across the AFC North divide. This coaching exchange would send shockwaves through the league and redefine one of football's fiercest rivalries.

It would make for a great sequel to the movie Trading Places with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd. I personally would love to have Mike Tomlin as a head coach. The guy has never had a losing season! All he was missing was a good young talented quarterback. I truly believe if Tomlin had Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry under his leadership, the Ravens would win a Superbowl.

During the 2025 NFL regular season, Derrick Henry put on yet another outstanding effort, rushing for 1,595 yards and 16 touchdowns on 307 carries. James Cook of the Buffalo Bills won the rushing title with 1,621 yards, barely 26 yards ahead of him. Henry was behind Cook by 152 yards going into Week 18. In a crucial game for Baltimore, Henry gained 112 yards in the first half against the Pittsburgh Steelers, putting the championship within grasp. But as the Ravens' strategy moved away from pounding the run in the second half, his production fell to just 14 yards on just five touches.

Head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Todd Monken were criticized by sports analysts, including Jason Whitlock, for "abusing" or mismanaging Henry by failing to feed him the ball more frequently when he was hot. This criticism echoed broader season-long criticisms of odd play-calling that occasionally sidelined the league's most physical back in favor of passing or rotations. These mistakes, along with the Ravens' devastating season-ending defeat due to a missed field goal, prevented Henry from winning his third career rushing title and demonstrated how coaching decisions in pivotal games may affect individual awards in close contests.

On December 27, 2025, Baltimore Ravens standout Derrick Henry achieved a new career best with 36 carries in a commanding 41-24 victory over the Green Bay Packers, a performance reminiscent of classic workhorse running backs. The 31-year-old stiff arm legend averaged an outstanding 6.0 yards per attempt, including explosive rushes of 30 and 25 yards, as he stormed to 216 running yards and an incredible four touchdowns, tying his career best in scoring.

In addition to setting an NFL record with his ninth career 200-yard game, Henry's incredible performance moved him up to 10th place on the all-time rushing yards list with 12,892 yards and fourth in rushing touchdowns with 122, overtaking greats like Adrian Peterson and Tony Dorsett. Henry's unrelenting effort kept Baltimore in the AFC North battle when the Ravens' chances of making the playoffs were at stake, demonstrating why, in his tenth season, he remains one of the league's most formidable and resilient backs.

Derrick Henry has obviously proven that he is still capapable of being a workhourse. The Ravens did a great job of protecting Tyler Huntly by feeding Henry and giving him 36 carries.
Will the Ravens do the same for Lamar Jackson in this winner take all game against the Pittsburgh Steelers? I hope so but John Harbaugh and Todd Monken have shown a tendency to get away from what is working.

The last time Tyler Huntley had opportunity to get the Baltimore Ravens into the playoffs, he had a fumble six on the goal line. He is the only QB I've ever seen jump in the air on a tush push. Huntley had 2 great wins this year, but he is just 7 and 9 as a starter in his career. Lamar Jackson, on the other hand, is a 2 time MVP and had the highest career passing rating in NFL history before he go injured this year. Lamar also destroyed the Steelers in a wild card playoff game last year. If Lamar is healthy, I trust Lamar. Who do you trust?
