Anyone got a spare £410? No? Damn. It’s just that I really, really need to buy this amazing table by Chinese, Sweden-based designer (and master in Child Culture Design) Tian Tiang. Come and Draw is a table with a difference, featuring 300 multicoloured circular sheets of paper on top, ideal for collaborative projects or just spinning fun.

It is completely eco-friendly and the offcuts from the production process go towards making the Come and Draw clock (comprising 48 sheets of paper), a brilliant number-learning device, which is a considerably more affordable £44.50. A great bit of design that kids will love too can be yours from fabulous eco boutique e-side.

Alphabet Fabric Wall Stickers

We love wall stickers and we love alphabets so a combination of the two is, frankly, awesome.

A colourful take on the popular Victorian decorative typeface these stickers add some character. You buy each letter individually so you can spell out words or even have the entire set if the fancy takes you. Ideal for either bedroom doors or walls as they are fabric wall stickers you can repostition them with no fear of them ripping the paint off when they go.

I’m loving Olive Loves Alfie’s natural paint collection. A collaboration with The Nursery Paint Company, it features fifteen soya based shades of cool and sugary tones which have anti-bacterial qualities. and 100% free of VOCs.

The names of the colours in the Olive Loves Alfie Colour range are inspired by owner Ashlyn’s daughter’s love of taking circus lessons (one very cool eight year old) and aside from being perfect for walls in children’s spaces, they’re also fabulous for a spot of furniture customising.

Man, that Stella McCartney woman is good at this kids’ fashion lark. Love, love, loving the new collection for spring/summer. Wild horses? Check. Candy pastels (soooooooo on trend)? Check. Neon cork sandals? Oh, yes, sirree!

I’m loving this floral all-in-one for the littlest fashionistas, £53, the cool Aztec-ish embroidery on this cool cotton dress, £75, and this photographic print t-shirt, £36. A great way to (relatively) inexpensively satisfy your cravings for Ms McCartney’s big people’s clothes.

Oh, ByGraziela, what are you doing to us? The combination of elephants and apples is surely too cute to bear. The result of a collaboration between the German company and soft-toy guru Andreas Linzner, the patterned pachyderm comes in either a blue/green or orange/yellow colourway and would make a wonderful gift for a newborn’s room and will set you back €45.90. Emily Evans Mother Stretch Mark Cream

Much like the rest of me at the moment, my ever-expanding bump is is in dire need of pampering, so I was excited to try out the extremely luxe-looking Super-Stretch Mark Cream from Emily Evans, the lady behind stylish maternity boutique 9London. At £38 it’s by no means cheap, but the texture is silky smooth and a little goes a long way. Seaweed, shea butter and vitamin E may not sound like the most appealing combination, but the addition of lavender and geranium ensure the cream smells as good as it looks – loving the matryoshka cardboard tube and weighty glass bottle packaging. I’ll have to report back on its efficacy at a later date, but so far so good – skin feels soft and hydrated and definitely less itchy (hurrah!). Now to book that pedicure…

Imagine Children’s Festival: 10th-26th February at Southbank Centre

Celebrating children’s literature and performing arts, the Imagine Children’s Festival is back for a fortnight this February with 53 free and paid events for kids of all ages including opera for babies, a musical tour of the animal kingdom with Carnival of the Animals, a craft pavilion, and a 5 minute live performance of an adaption of Oliver Jeffers The Incredible Book Eating Boy featuring puppetry, projection with ten viewings per hour for one child at a time.

Cool Mama: Poppy’s 1950s Inspired Dresses

When Lu and I were at Bubble, the fashion trade show for kids wear, we ended up getting rather excitable over the big people’s versions of the collection of story inspired dresses by Northern label Poppy. The designer Byrony designs the prints which feature Poppy and her dog Fred off on a variety of countryside adventures each season, with each dress accompanied by a little book. Although I don’t normally go for the 1950s look, these are stunning on and off the rack. Made from high quality cotton, these are classic pieces designed to last, with a V in the back which means it can be worn either way plus a tie around the waist that can be worn either to the front or back. Beatrice (left) and Grace are £98 each and available in sizes 10-16.

Jennifer vandenBrand Robots & Trikes lampshade

It’s so difficult to find decent lampshades for boys’ rooms – they’re always emblazoned with cartoon characters or cars… or both. Which is why I like this refreshingly retro one from from Jennifer vandenBrand in bright cobalt (the colour for spring 2012) featuring catapults, trikes, robots and spinning tops. I have to say I’m less keen on the other designs, but this one rocks. £39.99, Not on the High Street.

I’ve been on the lookout for some new toothbrushes for the girls and am in love with Australian brand Jack N’ Jill’s eco and child friendly designs. The ergonomic handles which feel great in your hands are made from 100% corn starch and feature cute a cool bunny and hippo motifs. When it’s time to dispose of them, break off the head and put in for recycling and the rest of the handle should break down within about 3 months.

The other hit is their range of toothpastes in five flavours, strawberry, banana, raspberry, blueberry, and blackcurrant. Made with certified organic flavour extracts which are suitable for vegans, gluten free, and kosher plus featuring calendula which is known for its anti-inflammatory and natural healing properties, they have a gel like consistency and taste great. Unsurprisingly, the girls want to spend a long time brushing their teeth…

Beautifully packaged as well – it’s literally a delight to open the postage bag – these have become a firm family favourite. Toothbrushes are £3.49, toothpastes are £4.99 and they also sell silicone finger brushes with a dimple side massager for babies, £2.49. Love it.
