Bamboo wind chimes are designed to slow down fast flowing energy, and stimulate stagnant energy – so a harmonizing effect, which is beneficial to the flow of energy.

But to be honest, as much as I love bamboo chimes, my fascination is not limited to chimes made out of bamboo only: it’s bamboo and it’s many uses.

Bamboo bags are another very eco-friendly product that can be made from bamboo.

Why bags made out of bamboo? Well, it’s fibers are naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial and thus are also excellent to store foods. Plus, they can absorb water very well.

If you just look in nature you will find that bamboo doesn’t need pesticides and is rarely attacked by pests. That’s because of “bamboo Kun”. Bamboo Kun might sound like a comic book character, but it’s a bio-agent, and even after being washed 50 times bamboo fiber can still retain it’s natural, antibacterial properties.

There’s a guy called Bart Hopkin. He’s making instruments and he is very deep into his passion. He’s the Director of an organization that is devoted to unusual musical instruments and innovative instrument making. It’s called Experimental Music Instruments.

He has written a whole book on making windchimes titled “windchimes — design and construction”.

I haven’t had a chance yet to read the book, but from what I’ve seen so far it seems to be a good read and I believe that it has all the information you need to start making none will windchimes.

Bamboo chimes really can be a great part in creating a relaxed atmosphere where people can feel comfortable. Some people might find my bamboo wind chime obsession a little funny, but hey, some people memorize every detail of every submarine that has been built in the last 50 years and have their basements stacked with submarine models, and I’m the bamboo wind chime dude.
