Bandra Boy Alistar's Accident

Alistar Pereira - a young lad from St. Paul's Road, Bandra is in the news for all the wrong reasons. On the other hand, this type of an accident could have happened to any one of us.

At the moment, his parents, family and close friends are in a terrible trauma over the sad situation of him getting a 3 year sentence.

- Is he being targetted because the powers-that-be feel that he has no one to really come up and back him ?

- Is he being used as an easy-to-get scapegoat by the cops to reduce rash driving in the city.

- Others who have more financial and political clout, yet have committed crimes far greater, are let off on bail and are blatantly flaunting their freedom. Is our judiciary really just ?

Let your 'straight from the shoulder' statements on this blog, share your views on this important issue. Maybe, it will help justice to eventually prevail !

Bandra Roads Condition

Inspite of being an elite suburb, our roads are too terrible for words...even our MAIN roads have potholes that resemble moon-craters. Motorists have nightmares navigating from point A to B, inspite of paying taxes on every little thing.

Its time ALM's take up this issue seriously. If local neighbouring roads are not maintained, strict reactions with to the BMC ! After all, we as tax-payers are not expecting favours ! Road Contractors will need to get an O.K. from the ALM office bearers, before their dues are paid.Enough is enough! Before loss of life or limb is the order of the day, action need to be taken.

Please comment if you have any other PLAN OF ACTION ! Bandra is Beautiful. Lets keep it that way... Your creative comments can change commuting conditions in and around Bandra.

Bandra Promenades

Ever since Bandra got her promenanades, they have been both - a blessing and a curse.

For the fitness-freaks, walking or jogging here is like 'paradise found'. On the other hand, for those wanting to prey on others (where they least expect it) these are ideal hunting grounds for their hapless victims. Athough the Bandra Reclamation, Bandstand and Carter Road Promenades have been designed as per international standards, maintaining them is imperative - especially since the general public uses them.

What is your 'take' on security, cleanliness, add-ons and any other issues that you may have. Feel free to express yourself, to improve our prime surroudings.
