For those who prefer green traveling, offsets the carbon, luxurious lodges and back to nature, there are some tips to have it with low cost but exciting experiences.

1. Stray from the beaten path

By visiting areas that few tourists go to, you can avoid adding to the stress on hot spots and enjoy a more authentic experience. Plus, you'll save money by not paying a premium for limited space.
For example : Visit Gede Pangrango National Park, it's remote and wild,you're your payoff in terms of wildlife spotting will off the charts. Compared to some of nature-made-resorts such as Safari Park's lodges, you will spend less money to have Green Exotic experience.

2. Quench your thirst responsibly

Even if you can recycle a plastic bottle, it's best to avoid using it in the first place by refilling your own water bottle. A small up-front investment will save you later, especially when you consider the high prices charged to captive travelers. And for your other beverage choices, consider less-expensive local juice and traditional home-made-drinks as an alternative to a global brand. You'll get to try something new that probably has a smaller carbon footprint too.

3. Eat like a local

Trying new things by eating local, seasonal products-it can be cheaper than a restaurant meal. Visit the local traditional market, or even better, Farmer's Market. Some open-air markets are only on specific days or seasons, but other cities have daily markets year-round.

4. Stay green in alternative lodging

More and more hotels are now implementing green initiatives, but your choice is not just limited to leaving your towel on the floor for washing or the rack for reuse. Homestays, university lodging, camping, and hostels are all examples of alternative lodging that cost less and use fewer resources. Locally-owned properties are often more socially responsible, too. Having access to a kitchen can give you more flexibility with your meals-using your delicious local ingredients, of course-and often the longer you stay the more you save.

5. Move forward with earth-friendly transportation

Transportation is one of travel's biggest drains on the earth's resources. Simply walking or biking can be a fun experience and an inexpensive green option. If you must rent a car, consider a hybrid to save on gas. The train or bus can be a better choice and is a way to get a local experience. For flying, remember that economy seats have a lower carbon footprint than business or first-class.
For example: bike rentals in Kuta Bali are a unique way to tour the city.

6. Think through your souvenir purchases

Consider what you'll really appreciate or use at home and focus on local products. Don't remove plants or animals from their natural environment and don't purchase handicrafts that are made from them, such as shell or pearl jewelry. The best mementos from many trips are often inexpensive photographs and free memories.
For example: Some travelers favorite souvenirs are consumables, such as regional delicacies, but another good green value can be trip reminders that you use often.

The nuance of Dago street offers much coolness and beautiful scenery which has millions of enchanment and puts in order, so that make the street more beautiful. Walking along the street, you will find a lot of big trees which has function as the shelter especially in the day lights. The street is also completed with sidewalk for pedestrians to walk along in shady and pleasure.
Historically Dago street was used to be an elite house complex area in Dutch colonialism era. As the main road is Dagoweg [Dago Street] or nowadays namely Jl. Ir. H. Juanda. Until early of 60s decade, thi street still has a special line for pedestrian, baby carriage, bycicle, cart and a special line for motorcycle. Dago Street in old time consists of two-ways asphalt streets width around 2 metres where both side of the street have green area planted by resin trees which becomes the landmark of this area. Besides that, in the middle of both lines has a half meter square of park filled by various green plants

Jalan terusan buah batu sudah bagus lagi

Setelah beberapa hari diperbaiki, akhirnya jalan terusan buah batu yang sering dilewati oleh ribuan kendaraan dari luar kota yang akan berkunjung ke Bandung sudah diperbaiki. Jalannya mulus sekali, terima kasih deh buat PU. Tapi tetap saja kemacetan masih ada menjelang weekend 3 hari ini karena tanggal merah dari isra mi'raj.
Macet dimulai dari pintu keluar tol terusan buah batu sampai dengan perempatan Buah batu-Soekarno hatta, jam macet dimulai sekitar pukul 15 sampai dengan jam 1730 menjelang maghrib, ini diakibatkan karena jalan soekarno hatta sedang mengalami perbaikan. Ya jadi harus sabar.
Saya sarankan untuk datang lebih siang atau lebih pagi untuk menghindari kemacetan ini.

Waduh panas-panas gini emang enak makan sop buah kalo dalam bahasa inggrisnya fruit soup. well for you who are thirsty i suggest you eat this soup...aduh punten bahasanya belepotan, gini ni kalo maksain. Tapi biar belajar ya.

This place is located at the back of gedung sate it is at jalan cimandiri. Sup buah is a mix between any kind of fruit in to one bowl plus ice and milk, so it is quite tasty and fresh at the same time. I think you must try it

Meneruskan pertanyaan dari seorang teman saya tentang paypal akhirnya muncul deh artikel ini, tapi yang menjadi pertanyaan teman saya apakah membuat akun paypal kita harus menyertakan serial number dari kartu kredit kita..setelah dicoba ternyata tidak juga.Kita bisa buat akun paypal tanpa harus menyertakan data tentang kartu kredit kita. Ada tiga tipe yang disediakan, kebetulan saya menggunakan yang pribadi. Okey lets talk about PPC singkatnya PPC adalah Paid PerClik.

Pay Per Click menunjukan sebuah mekanisme periklanan yang dimana pemasang iklan membayar setiap seseorang mengklik iklan tersebut. Khususnya, saat ini PPC lebih mengarah pada tampilan iklan dalam halaman hasil pencarian mesin pencari.

Hello we meet again, the other day i went to juanda forest park it is located at jalan dago atas. Because of the ramadhan month, so i went there to see if the park become one of the destination to spend times in the afternoon, here are a brief explanation about the place...

Taman Hutan Rakyat or you can call it Tahura

it is a 590-hectares forest, it is reserved for research and recreation, with numerous native plant species as well as some from other parts of the world. Here, you can also see a number of caves and tunnels dug out during World War II by the Japanese Forces during their occupation of Indonesia. The reserve is also a boon for those who delight in trekking and climbing nearby Gunung Tangkuban Perahu. Bambang Parlupi wrote an excellent article on the Juanda Forest Reserve:

West Java offers its exotic natural beauty and fresh air to those pursuing nature tourism around Bandung. The cool natural environment of Ciwidey in the Parahyangan Highlands boasts the Kawah Putih (white crater) and Lake Situ Patenggang, with the legendary Mt. Tangkuban Perahu (literally, upside-down boat) in Lembang.

A fascinating natural zone serves as yet another alternative in the environs of the West Java capital. It is Ir. H. Juanda Forest Reserve — formerly the Curug Dago nature tourism destination and Mt. Pulosari protected forest and known locally as Tahura Juanda — which is situated only five kilometers from the municipal center of Gedung Sate. The reserve is operated and maintained by the West Java forestry office.

Cruising along the montane Cicadas and Lembang districts of Bandung regency, and through the steep hills surrounded by the region’s Sundanese tropical rainforest, is an exciting experience. The mountain ecosystem lies at varying heights from 770 meters to 1,330 meters above sea level.

The aroma and coolness of the rainforest that fill the mountain air as one treks upwards are attributable to the local humidity and a temperature of around 22-24 degrees Centigrade.

The melodious calls of songbirds — orioles, grey-headed bulbuls, serpent eagles and sterlings — can be heard from among the hundreds of tree species dominated by pines, calliandra, bamboo and hedges like the teklan, a species of Euphatorium.

The diversity of vegetation provides habitat for a wide variety of wildlife species in the 526.99-hectare montane environment. Among the notable mammals are civets and squirrels, in addition to a host of reptiles and insects.

With its scenic beauty and biological diversity, Juanda Forest Reserve is also known as a nature reserve, where the flora and fauna of West Java are protected as stipulated in Presidential Decree No. 3/1985.

Based on an inventory provided by its management, the garden has a collection of 250 trees representing 40 plant families and 112 species. Some of them are rare and endangered ones like Ugandan mahogany (Khaya anthotheca), Sosis (Kigelia aetheiopia), Mexican pines (Pinus montecumae), Sulawesi Bayur (Pterospermum celebicum) and Sumatran casuarina (Casuarinas sumatrana).

Around the reserve, tourists will also find a 1.1-hectare reservoir drawing its water from the Cikapundung River and serving as a source for the local community’s hydropower generator.

Meanwhile, an information center and museum not far from the lake keeps records of national hero and engineer Juanda, and has examples of plant specimens as well as taxidermic displays of animals that live in the reserve. Unfortunately, the center only opens on work days, against the tide of thousands who visit at weekends.

Other enchanting views in the forest are three waterfalls called Curug Dago, Curug Omas and Curug Lalay.

Curug Lalay, lying between Pakar and Maribaya, also hosts a natural cave that is home to thousands of bats, while 35-meter-high Curug Oma, located near Maribaya, is the tallest waterfall in Juanda.

Curug Dago, at 10 meters high and outside Juanda’s gates, offers a thrilling adventure. To reach this fall, visitors frequently take the route that starts in front of Dago Terminal. After trekking a quarter of an hour along steep paths through village farms, visitors will reach a guards’ station and a bridge over Cikapundung River. Following signposts, they will arrive at the waterfall, but are warned to keep a tight grip on railings as they descend because of the wet and slippery access.

Curug Dago is also very close to the site of a Thai inscription marking the 1896 visit of Thai King Chulalongkorn II (Rama V) to Bandung. This heritage site is protected by the reserve management in view of its historic value and symbol of past friendship between the two nations. A structure has been erected to prevent the inscription from vandalism and water erosion.

Tahura Juanda is easily accessible by public or private transportation, with entrance costing only Rp3,000 per visitor including accident insurance.

The reserve can be reached by city transportation from Kebun Kelapa Terminal to Dago, or from Hall Station to Dago, covering a distance of seven kilometers. If traveling through Lembang, visitors can go to Maribaya to reach the reserve.

hello again, this is holiday season now in indonesia especially in bandung, for the next mont is all about holiday. And what do you do in your time of holiday besides relaxing...most of us going shopping..Belanja Booooo!!!! kalo yang sering ke bandung pasti tau tentang heritage FO.

YUPs salah satu FO besar yang ada di kota bandung, yang unik dari FO ini selain dari pakaian dan produknya yang lumayan terjangkau. FO ini juga menyajikan keunikan dari segi bangunan...i mean the building is just great..its an old building with the most beautiful design (for a store i think its great) untuk sebuah toko itu memang bagus sekali. jadi ga sekedar buat tempat jual baju doang, Heritage juga menyuguhkan atau memperdulikan tenang keindahan dari tempat tersebut.

restoran midori

Beberapa waktu lalu saya pernah liat sebuah acara tv tentang restoran midori ternyata di kota bandung juga ada, maklum kalau makanan jepang saya kurang tahu tapi ternyata ada salah satunya di jalan sultan tirtayasa no 31 daerah dago bawah

Terus terang saja kalau makanan orang jepang kan kebanyakan mentah terus ada juga yang daging..maap ya babi, tapi ternyata disini menu yang dihidangkannya dinyatakan halal dan aman buat dikondumsi, menurut saya tidak terlalu mahal lagipula tempatnya nyaman sekali.

Apalagi letaknya terletak di tengah keramaian jadi sangat mudah untuk akses jalan ke tempat lain seperti mall atau FO di bandung.

I came across a very disturbing social networking site last week called Yuwie. It's another site that's decided that for some reason, using a free, and highly functional social service populated by your friends (like Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, etc.) is worth ditching for something built with very little ease of use or original design, but created to help you make ludicrous amounts of money by selling out your friends.
It works like this: you get a share of money for every page view on the service (the site makes its money by selling ads). Also, the more people visit your page, the more page views you get a percentage of. Yuwie then takes it a step further with referrals, letting you get a percentage of money from the activity of any friends you've invited to the service, along with their friends, and people who their friends have invited. This goes on for 10 "levels," so you could theoretically have close to 100,000 referrals if your friends and their invitees continue to invite others who use the service beyond the one-month probation period.

Does this idea sound familiar? It's a pyramid scheme. The problem with this, economically, is that it's unsustainable. The people at the top can't possibly pay out the promised amount, and the people stuck at the bottom aren't getting the same benefits as those who have spammed referrals to their friends higher up in the chain. Speaking of spam, even if you're on there with your friends, you're bound to get an intolerable amount of spam from people you don't know as the service grows. The second most popular group on the service at the moment has been specifically designed as a place to add random groups of other folks to beef up your bonus money. Is this the kind of network you want to be a part of? At least the site isn't asking for a sign-up fee--if it did, it'd be illegal. And it ought to be.
The worst part is that Yuwie is pretty much a carbon copy of MySpace, circa two years ago, with nearly identical profile features--meaning you're not really getting anything more than you would with a mainstream social network. That, and the ads are those wonderful seizure-inducing ones that jiggle and flash, combined with the large click-through ones that steal you away from whatever you're looking at while you wait for a redirect. Even MySpace won't do that.
It's also not an original idea--profit sharing has long been a part of the social Web services. More recently it has gone mainstream in the video space with Revver and YouTube's new AdSense program, but even then, you're unlikely to get the $10K a month Yuwie is promoting in their introductory video. The big difference however, is that these services reward creativity and the traffic it brings in over gaming. In terms of social networking, sites like (the now defunct) Fannect.com have offered their users the option to add Google AdSense to their profiles, while Facebook lets developers of third-party apps drop ads into their canvas area. There's also Capazoo, which lets users exchange virtual tokens that have been "tipped" from other users for real money.
These ideas are going nowhere. People are eating up sites like Facebook and MySpace because they're an easy way to people-watch and stay in touch in a more pervasive manner than e-mail or instant messaging alone. While it would be nice to make money off using these sites, I'd much prefer to support the people who have created them, and who maintain them with new and helpful features. these articles belongs to www.news.cnet.com

Hello have you read about Punclut the other day the title "cute girl at punclut" well this is her mom and she wanted to add her own review about the place because she didn't go with us...

"hey ivan why did you leave me??? but thats okay yesterday on a weekend i went to punclut with my daugther and i think this is a nice place to visit with your whole family. On sunday there a lot of people go there, most of them walk but there are people driving cars and motorcycles too. It is a place to relax and having a good sundanese breakfast besides the air you breathe is fresh with the beautiful scenery you can see along the way. While i am eating my daughter is riding a horse, they rent a horse in this area guided by the owner of the horse...so i think this place is one of my favourite family leisure"

Two craters adorn the summit of Patuha Volcano. The dry crater of Kawah Patuha lies 600 meters northwest of Kawah Putih, a crater lake with approximately 8 meters of water depth. Kawah Putih crater lake represents a relatively stable volcanic system, with no records of magmatic or phreatic activity since A.D. 1600. Nevertheless, magmatic activity manifests itself in Kawah Putih as the hyperacid lakewater solution that results from condensation of SO2, H2S, and HCl gases near the lake bottom.
Hydrothermal water-rock interactions in the Kawah Putih system constitute a present-day example of volcanic ore-deposit formation. Precipitation of native sulfur and other sulfides from lake waters have accumulated as extensive sulfur-rich sediments on the lake bottom. These sediments were mined during the first half of the 20th century and comprised 90% of Indonesia's sulfur production at that time. Abundant seepage of Kawah Putih's lakewaters into fractures is another mechanism of hydrothermal ore formation in the volcano.
Seepage of lakewater from Kawah Putih is also a concern to human health. This seepage acidifies the flank springs of Patuha volcano. The flank springs feed the Ciwidey and Citarum Rivers, whose waters are used by local people for irrigation.

wow, that is really some knowledge you have to know about..besides the place is beautiful and the water can change colours, white sands, clear air and lots of great scenery...i think this is a great place for a pre wedding photo session. Kawah Putih means white crater because of the sand that was form by the sulfur from the crater. .If you wanna go there

Kawah Putih can easy be reached by car all the way to the rim and then it is a 100 metre walk to the lake it self. It is a very nice colorful lake. Far to the south of Bandung, the hill becomes greener. The fresh air flows through the bamboo trees marching along the way. Kawah Putih, The White Crater, is waiting for who want to contemplate there. Hadi said "YOU GOT TO GO There!!!!!"

There are a few tips that i would like to share with you, once you have arrived in bandung.

1. First if you arrive from the airport husein sastranegara after a long journey...you might want to take some rest immediatelly, well you dont have to worry because there are lots of hotel around the airport its about 5-10 minutes trip by using taxi. But know this, that most of the taxi in bandung seldom use their meters on, so you have to bargain with them regarding the price that they will have to offer. But if you choose not to use taxi maybe you want to use public transportation such as angkot, unfortunately that angkot does not operate every time to the airport. The simplest thing to do that you have to be clever in bargain with the taxi driver..relax they are all friendly.

2. If you arrived at the train station and you want to go take some rest that instant..you can use "becak" a small transportation with three wheels no machine attach,,the price maybe 5000 rupiahs or you can walk to your left. i mean once you outside the gate of kebon kawung you can taje the road left and then crossing the street, there are lots of hotels there, such as serena hotel, cemerlang hotel, nugraha hotel, mutiara hotel and many more

3. If you arrived with your private car, probably you gonna take the exit from pasteur highway because the highway connect you straight to the center of the city..well this is a good idea but i would recommended you this alternatives if you arrived in bandung at the weekend..cause you just cant helped about the traffic jam. i mean you just cant moved once you are outside the pasteur highway

"well this was happened to me one year ago i know its been along time but why do i post it now. I dont have any intention posting about this but there are several question from my friend regarding refund payment of an airplane ticket.

Back then my father was going to menado but because there was a problem with his company he decided not to go and ask me to refund his ticket to lion air...the problem was that he bought his ticket from menado and i want to refund it in bandung. I never thought it was gonna be so simple the officer of lion air named teguh aribowo was very helpfull. he only promise me to go back the next day to refund the ticket and i did i got the whole money for full, they only charge me for about 50000 rupiahs for administration fee.They said that i refund the ticket outside 24 hour from departure thats why i got my money full..thank you again lion air. For those of you who are travelling using airticket, you must read the instruction about refunding your money if you decide not to go, because there are various terms that the airplane offices apply" this is posted by me ivan sunardi

In the weekend the amount of vehicle increase rapidly because there are a lot of travellers goes to bandung to have long weekend most of the travellers came from jakarta...Is this a problem for the citizen of bandung..well let me asked my friend Riki

This is my city, nothing gonna stop me for having a date on saturday night..I suggest if you to getting around in bandung you can use a taxi, the one taxi company that serve me well is Blue Bird group...it is quite affordable, the inside interior is very nice and clean, full AC too..Plus the driver is very friendly..the most important thing is the taxi is on time by request....Because of this taxi i am not affraid to go on my date..I love Blue Bird Taxi"

Waterfalls, recreation grounds and a magnificent gorge make Maribaya, just a few minutes east of Lembang, a very popular resort. On Sundays this is a particularly crowded spot.
Minibuses and horse carts are frequent from Lembang. Maribaya draws many Bandung residents on Sundays because of the hot springs which are channeled into a small public pool and various private cabins. Some come here for the children’s playground and horseback ridding (about $3/hr.), and many just to have a picnic in the park.

Maribaya Waterfall
A magnificent walk leads through the Cikapundung Gorge to Juanda Park, about an hour and a half away. The path leads first to a waterfall (unfortunately, no swimming is possible) and then in to the gorge. Farther on the path forks: left leads out of the valley again, up the slope and to an other fork where turning left takes you to an impressive view points just above Maribaya; the path to the right takes you to Dago. Walking further through the gorge you reach Juanda Park, passing Japanese World War II bunkers along the way. Another hike back to Bandung begins at the new car park posted “Curug Omas”, which is 5 km from the Lembang crossroads and before you reach Maribaya. This path provides far better views than the rail in the gorge. This trail, too, goes to Juanda Park or, some forty-five minutes longer, to the Ciumbuleuit area. Directions Go straight (east) at the Lembang crossroads and follow the charming tree-lined road. Some 4 km from Lembang the roads begins to dip steeply into the Cikapundung Valley. If you go by horse cart you have to walk this last downhill section. The Maribaya recreation park is 5.5 km from the crossroads.
