Many times especially here in the states, we get that two weeks vacation away from our job per year. Then we pick a destination and proceed to take leave of our normal routine and let go of what we hold onto.

Try this the next time you get that week of reprieve from your work. Take a holiday instead.

If we look at Webster's Dicitonary the word vacation means the act of vacating. So the use of the phrase "I am on vacation" really is not what you want. Heck you just got there why would you want to vacate now?

The Europeans have the best use of the word holiday. It is a joyous time, one that we want to remember. I learned this recently by talking with a couple from England that I met in Pensacola Florida.

James and Belinda are world travelers, they have been traveling for the past 25 years together. I asked them how do they find savings on their travel expenses. Being that they are a very spiritual couple they only replied we just think it.

Now they had my interest even more because I am also spiritual minded. So I asked them how to find those deals. Per se Banff Hotel deals, because I am so interested in Banff because I love it there and also for the spiritual side of my well being.

You have already booked your room, have your airfare all set and have your plans all set out for your holiday excursion in Banff. So off we go into the Canadian Rockies. Don't forget about the last minute deals that you can find for your hotel.

Here is what I am talking about. You are so excited about your upcoming experience that you have forgotten to check what the rates are a couple of days before you leave, but you can find some extra savings on your already booked hotel room.

Here is how to do this. We have decided here at Banff Hotel Deals to give you a daily listing through our search feature on the daily rates of the areas hotels. In this way you will be able to easily compare your rate to others and if you find a online rate that is lower than yours go to that online agent and print out a copy of their advertised rate. When checking in at your hotel just show them a copy of what you printed earlier that day. Bet you will get the lower rate. With very little negotiating on your part.

Why drive when you can sit back and enjoy the scenery? For most of us we will be flying to Calgary, this is the closest major airport serving the area. Then you have to drive another one hour and forty five minutes.

Sorry but I am here on holiday and want to enjoy myself, besides I just had one of those nightmare flights. You know what I mean, 3 connecting flights, sitting in a cramped airliner. Been on the go for 10 hours. Tired and just want to get there without much more of a hassle!

Besides when you are in Banff everything is so close by anyone can easily walk anywhere in town in only minutes. So you can save by not having the added expense of renting a car. Many times when we look for the best Banff hotels deals or a deal anywhere, we always put the nightly rate first into our minds. Although putting our budget first doesn't always guarantee that we get the best deal.

When searching for the best Banff accomodations put yourself first. Think of your needs and what you are personally going there to experience, this way your mind will guide you and your overall stay will be much better.

Know yourself and your needs. No one knows what your needs are better than you. Do you have personal needs such as are you going all out and want this to be the total experience and make it opulent and be treated like the King and Queen? Or are you on a business trip?

Here's an easy tip on how to find the Banff hotel deals that you are searching for.

Write out 3 lists, first will be your must haves, second will be your would like to haves and third will be your, wish I had list. Now when you start your search go for your wish list first, select those amenities from the list and then compare prices to your budget.
