The NYAF

HEY my fellow otakus. Duke's here and last month i went to the NYAF. Those of you who don't know what the NYAF is, for shame. The NYAF stands for New york Anime Festival, and even though i only went on Saturday. It...WAS.....WIN! The day i went was on Saturday, and it was fun. Of course some of the cosplay was sexy, some cute, some funny, most well done. They has a bayonetta demo as well, live performances, a cosplay masquerade which fellow otaku did their own skits.the cast of soul eater was there signing autographs and the conga line.....oh the conga line. Greatest conga line...EVER! All in All it was good in i will be returning. until then enjoy this small side show i created. Viva la NYAF!

Halibel serves as the 3rd high-ranking Espada as Ulquiorra serves as the 4th. They are both quiet in nature, preferring to think before they act.

While Ulquiorra's mask can be readily seen, Halibel's mask is covered by her coat and colar. Her mask extends from her nose down to her breasts.

I didn't want to place this cosplay on either of my other 2 blogs because of the amount of skin being exposed. However, Halibel has never been portrayed so accurately, and Ulquiorra rivals the first cosplayer I featured. Excellent job!

Omg, these toddlers are the cutest. I completely love their cosplay of the famous anime series Naruto.I I wonder if they watch and understand Naruto series. I personally think the story line can get intense. I can just imagine the crazy cosplay family behind this one. Still one of the best I have seen. There like little Dumplins. ILMAO.

That's right fellow otakus, The new York anime festival is coming in just a couple of months. It will be held at the Jacob Javets center in Manhattan in run from September 25 thru september 27. Expect cosplay, manga artist, authors,maybe a few special guest and other special things,like anime previews and game demos will appear. I'll do what i can to keep you guy updated on the event and festivities, but if you are in the big apple and an otaku come to thew festival. You won't be disapointed.

I just got finished watching Sumomomo momo. I loved it. It was funny and touching. Here the story. The series centers around a young girl, a strong martial artist, who wants to marry and bear a child with a boy that she believes to be a strong fighter. Momoko is a strange and hyperactive barefoot (but she starts to wear shoes to school after Kōshi buys her a pair) young girl who is also a martial artist in a special form of martial arts that only members of the twelve Zodiac Masters of Japan can learn. She is associated with the dragon of the Chinese zodiac.

Every episode she tries to seduce this guy. Whom they during the course of the anime began living together. Story is around the life of Kōshi Inuzuka, a normal high school student who is aspiring to become a prosecutor after graduating

Rejected again! Kōshi initially wants nothing to do with Momoko or the martial arts war that he has been thrown right in the middle of. He instead focuses even more on his studies so as to keep his mind off of being targeted for assassination. Gradually, he seems to develop a greater appreciation and caring for Momoko.

Justin Timberlake is trying to do a whole lot more than just bring sexy back. The 28 year-old singer, dancer and ex-Mickey Mouse club member has officially entered the running for the role of Hal Jordan, better known as the Green Lantern.

According to Hollywood Reporter, TimberLake has been nominated, along with Scar-Jo's beau Ryan Reynolds and Hangover star Bradley Cooper, for the lead in the latest Warner Bros. and DC Comics film.

The movie will tell the story of a cocky test pilot who is given a magical ring by a dying alien. This ring gives him superhuman abilities, like the power to fly and create objects out of light, but it also requires that he join an intergalactic crime-fighting team.

CLANNAD: The Visual Novel - part II

I have to salute to Key for this one…

It’s a friggin’ complex routes (@_@) one vital choice wrong and poof~ and You wouldn’t know until further back~ and there’s always different story appearing for almost every single choice. No wonder people said it took 300 hours in average to get the whole scenario~ yeah 300, Three hundred hours!!! It’s not a typo. Now I’m really salute to the translator and people in AOI for making the patch.

But throughout the stories (in exception of the bad ending) the joke, the drama is really touching (the bad ending very irritating, but also felt challenging) and the stories impeccably woven throughout the scenario. Even in the side scenario of Sunohara, I got my eyes wet a bit. I also have settled down the Fujibayashi Ryou route but nothing really dramatic happen on her route, so I’m starting to doubt that that’s the Ryou’s “true” route.

I just a bit curious to try getting the Kyou route, but instead I got Sunohara ending (TT__TT OMG my first good ending route is actually Sunohara’s ROFL) but I don’t really regret it. The small drama about friendship and siblings in this route is not bad at all. As I say previously toward the end it’s really-really dramatic, so much that my eyes got wet a bit. If the scenario continues a few years ahead I definitely get her sister kukuku~ I can still hearin Mei calling “Onii-chan~” XD

Though stupid he’s a good friend, I wonder if there’s a person like that.

And since I felt guilty for playing around with Ryou (to get her older sister), I finished up her route~ dating and stuff~ It’s funny but nothing dramatic really happen (I tought the drama is gonna be the rumor for going out with Kyou) which quite surprising~ the end is only a small kiss scene and that’s it~

Ok for all those who haven't read Naruto 437..oh boy..are you in for some how can i say it... Tear jerking... Hinata finally admit her feeling for naruto..all good in the world right? The manga comic Kurokami (black god in the us) finally gets an new anime. About damn time if ya ask me. Those who don't know the story here's a bit of back story.

kuro kami is about Keita Ibuki is an independent and struggling freelance computer programmer who, with two of his friends, is developing and trying to sell a video game program to big-time video game companies in Tokyo while trying to stay afloat and survive financially with money being given to him by his 21-year old childhood friend Akane Sano. He had a chance meeting on one night with a high Mototsumitama named Kuro while eating alone at a ramen stand. He gives her his dinner, a bowl of ramen, and tries to protect her when she is attacked in an ambush by an unknown Tera Guardian. Keita loses his entire left arm during the fight between the Tera Guardians, but Kuro was able to save his life by exchanging the amputated arm with her own left arm since she has enhanced healing abilities like all Mototsumitamas. This creates a contract between them, which makes her more powerful than before. However, Kuro warns Keita that they need to be together all the time in order to be at their strongest.

As Kuro stays with Keita and gets acquainted with him while meeting with other Tera Guardians and their human masters, they are targeted by the strongest Tera Guardian clan of the East, the Shishigami (Lion God) Clan in an attempt to kidnap Akane and bring about the destruction of the coexistence balance, which Tera Guardians are supposed to protect. Meanwhile, Keita is determined to find out why his mother had died after seeing her double as a young boy and find out who is responsible for trying to destroying the coexistence balance on Earth.

Now you know what make this anime special.

The anime adaptation of Black God is to be produced by Sunrise, which would be directed by Tsuneo Kobayashi with Reiko Yoshida as the series' supervisor and Hiroyuki Nishimura as the series' animation director and chief character designer.

Among the seiyūs involved in the upcoming Sunrise production include Noriko Shitaya, who will play as Kuro, and Daisuke Namikawa as Kenta.^[11] Other seiyū who had already been announced for the production include Sayaka Ohara as Akane Sano, Yukari Tamura as Excel and George Nakata as Steiner. Its title is called Kurokami: The Animation or Black God: The Animation. The date for the anime to air on Japanese TV is on January 2009. It was announced officially by Bandai Entertainment that Kurokami: The Animation will air first on January 8, 2009 simultaneously in Japan on TV Asahi and in the United States on ImaginAsian, followed by South Korea on January 9, 2009 in AniBOX.

in other words as this air in japanit will simultaneously air in English. I'm excited about that. so i advise everyone to look for this anime.

Ok, Naruto has his four tail kyubbi state, and ichigo has his vizard state. Now while both of these are cool and powerful.. They're not enough to make them the favorite of the day. No..today i give props to monkey d. luffyin his one in a life time state..NIGHTMARE.

Here's a rundown:

A form of Luffy that is powered up by one hundred shadows, manifested physically by Moria's Kage Kage no Mi, implanted into him.^[52] With Luffy's strong spirit, he is able to contain one hundred shadows within him when most normal people can only contain two to three. In this form, Luffy is several times bigger than his normal self and his skin completely turns to blue.^[53] He is roughly the same size as Moria and his body is similar to Chopper in the Heavy Point. Luffy also talks differently while in this form.

While in this form, Luffy is capable of using the combined strength of the shadows within him. With this strength, Luffy is even capable of stopping a large giant sized Gomu Gomu no Rifle attack delivered by Oz and of delivering massive attacks onto the zombie behemoth.^[54] Because one of the shadows belonged to a swordsman, Luffy also got the ability of fighting with swords, something he never knew before. This form however can only last for ten minutes. After that, all of the shadows within Luffy will return to their original owners.

Truthfully i don't know why i like Nightmare so much.....it might be the strength..the fact that heactually a bit more bad ass the usual...or that he is blue..but you have to admit he's damn cool.

Tales of the Abyss

Now if your a fan of The tales games. You'll be happy to know that there has been an anime adaption to the ps2 hit "Tales of the Abyss" (my personal favorite in the series). The anime so far has four episodes. The opening is an lyrical opening to the original opening. I recommend you take it out soon. Now those who do not know of this game...BAD BAD person!

Here a small overview of the plot.

Tales of the Abyss takes place on Auldrant, a planet composed of elementary particles called Fonons (フォニム, Fonimu^?, Fonim in the Japanese version). For much of Auldrant's history, only six fonons were known to exist, representing the elements of Shadow, Earth, Wind, Water, Fire and Light; but eventually a seventh fonon, controlling Sound, is discovered. Its discovery brings great chaos: using this newest Seventh Fonon allows one to read the future. One such Seventh Fonist, Yulia Jue, puts in place a future for the world for thousands of years to come, with the promise of unlimited prosperity at its end. This prophecy of the future's set path becomes known as the "Score" and is documented on "Fonstones" scattered throughout the world. The nations of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear and Malkuth have fought over the fragments of these tablets for generations, each uncovering them and hoping to discover the future before the other. Meanwhile, a holy order emerges dedicated to the reading of the Score and the keeping of the peace. This "Order of Lorelei" is headed by a Fon Master and maintains both religious/political and military branches. Finally, the Score and its promise of prosperity lead to a dangerous complacency within the general population of Auldrant; the slaughter of an entire people living on the island of Hod and the destruction of that landmass are countenanced because it was predicted in the Score.

As the game commences, Luke fon Fabre, the son of Duke Fabre of the Kimlasca Kingdom, is 17 years old. He is the Light of the Sacred Flame who is destined to bring prosperity to Kimlasca. Since being kidnapped seven years ago by the Malkuth Empire, he has been kept confined to the Fabre family mansion. The shock of the kidnapping has erased all of Luke's memories prior to the event. One fateful day, a mysterious woman breaks into the mansion and sets off a chain of events that drag Luke into the center of a massive conflict between those who would do anything to see the Score carried out, and those who would see it broken forever.

Clannad - After Story

Jesus Christ.

My cute sensors have been violated.

The first episode, as expected, was light hearted. The OP completely rubbed the fact that Nagisa won in our face, but there are a few things to note from the op.

1) Fuko is atleast in one episode, because she’s giving out a hug. Or you could take the cheap way out and see that her part was casted.

2) Ryou is crying.

3) Yukine gets an arc.

4) Someone is dieing.

All in all it was a happy start. I think they’re trying to build a positive focus right now in order to destroy it, along with our emotions, later on.

First episode was good. Very good. Can we tell I’m not a Nagisa fan yet? Notice where Kotomi’s/Kyou’s eyes are in that second picture.

Liked our timeout for a weekly dose of GAR. Well, as close to GAR as this series is going to get. The comedy was top notch for this episode, but episode two actually advanced the story. While I’m overall disappointed that Nagisa won, Tomoya still doesn’t deserve her.

“I don’t think we should lie!”

Reason #1) Does not respect her opinion or wish.

“Get back into the kitchen.”

Reason #2) Completely ignores her.

Sexually attracted to her mom.

Reason #3) Having his eyes on other women.

Though all in all I can’t fault him for that third one…

Which brings us to the base behind the Sunohara arc. Lieing to your little sister by pretending to go out with your friend’s girlfriend’s hot mom? One has to ask the reason why Sanae is bothering to play this little game. Though, I guess as a MILF you rarely get to dress up and go out on dates anymore - so I’m sure she’s just having fun with it. I didn’t buy that whole thing with her wanting to help Sunohara. She’s doing this for laughs. Tomoya is doing this for laughs. Sunohara is doing this to get laid. It was funny to see her completely ignored when she said “This is complicated…one of my friends is dating my mom.”

Could create a comedic scene. I found the next episode preview with Sunohara standing there to be interesting. I haven’t seen the whole scene yet, but it looks like he’s being stood up. I think the execution and his actions in the preview are very well done. I seriously felt like I know where he’s been before. Waiting for next weeks episode, but what I’m really looking for from this series is the Yukine arc.

Well, atleast we know where Archer was hiding for those two-three days in Unlimited Blade Works after Gilgamesh skewered him. I don’t what Kyoto Animation is planning with this one. I think they enjoy watching us suffer. They give us more Clannad, which will end in tears, and delay Haruhi more, which creates rage. This is double the suffering.

While I am looking forward to Little Busters!, since it’s animation is confirmed that means we’ll be lucky to see Haruhi before the end of 2009. Despair. Absolute Despair!

The lack of Kotomi amongst the blogging community has also left me in despair. All I see is Kyou. So let me implore you anime community! Go! Go find a Kotomi picture and post it on your blog or website! She needs the love.

What is this crap about games designed " Just for Girls" The problem with these games are that they are made by guys with a 2D understanding of what we really want. Don't step to us with a pretty storyline of phonies and shopping.

Two Japanese television stations have censored scenes with undergarments in the first episode of the Rosario + Vampire Capu2 anime series this week, while at least two other stations have apparently left the episode intact.

The TV Osaka and TV Aichi stations in central Japan censored the scenes, but not another central Japanese station, Mie TV, and Tokyo MX TV.

TV Osaka and TV Aichi had also censored scenes in the first Rosario + Vampire anime series. Both anime series adapt Akihisa Ikeda's school comedy manga about a human boy who secretly attends a school for supernatural creatures.

I am loving Boa's music. I first heard of this pop star, when she did flying with out wings. I loved that song. I thought she was cute in it also. Her music is great. I later found out that she is Korean, not a Japanese woman.

Some songs she did that i love. I learned to read Japanese, and a bit of korean to sing along. Ya, wickedly twisted.
