Himachal Gramin Bank working in the state of Himachal Pradesh has started recruitment of Officers and Office Assistants for year 2012. It has invited application from young graduates for filling the vacancies of Officers and office assistants. This has around 128 branches across the state and is being sponsored by Punjab national Bank. Bank will conduct written exam and selected candidates will be called for personal interview. Question pattern of the written exam will be same as other bank recruitment exams.

IBPS Exam for Recruitment of Specialist officers in 19 Nationalized Banks

IBPS (Institute of Banking personnel selection) has announced the common written examination (CWE) for the recruitment of specialist officers in nationalized banks of India. IBPS has successfully conducted two CWE for clerk, PO and management trainee. Now it has invited application for the common written examination of Specialist officers which has been scheduled at 11th March 2012. A mark sheet will be provided to every successful Candidates which will valid for one year. Process to Apply for IBPS specialist officers exam.

Candidates have to download payment challan from IBPS site.
Then they have to pay application fee at any participating bank given in the Challan form.
Candidates may also pay application fee online with credit/Debit/Netbanking system.
Now Scan the Photo and signature and save in computer.
Now go to IBPS website and fill all the information in Online application form and upload scanned photograph and signatures.
Submit the application. A registration number and pass will be generated.

IBPS Common Written Examination - single Recruitment test for 19 Nationalised Banks

Common Bank Exam is going to be conducted for the recruitment of employees in the 19 Nationalized Banks operating in India. Recently IBPS conducted common written exam for the recruitment of management trainee and Probationary Officers. IBPS is now announced common written examination for the recruitment of Clerks for nationalized banks in Nov and Dec of this year. The whole exercise is an attempt to simplify the recruitment process in 19 nationalized banks. Earlier each bank had to conduct their separate test for recruitment of employees. Students had to appear for too many exams. So the earlier system was complicated and time consuming. Since Banking industry in India was facing manpower crunch and they wanted to speed up the recruitment process, they agreed to the model of common test which is called as Common Written Examination (CWE). Indian Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is made responsible for conducting this Common exams.

So IBPS conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) four times in a year. Two for the Probationary Officers(PO) and Management Trainee and two for Clerks.

IBPS Common Bank Exam for Clerks.

Clerk exam is conducted 2 times in a year. All candidates who will qualify in all section will be given a score card which will be valid for one year. Successful candidates can directly apply for the interview whenever a vacancy in banks is announced.

Question Pattern of of this test is same as the previous Clerk recruitment exams. question structure is as follows

Common Written Test for PO and Management Trainee is also conducted two times times in a year. Question pattern and syllabus is same as the previous PO recruitment exams. Question structure of the exam is as follows.

Syllabus of the IBPS Clerk examination -
Syllabus and question pattern will also be same as the previous bank clerk exams.
In quantitative section questions will be asked from percentage, average, ratio and proportion, simple and compound interest, cost profit and loss, time speed distance, mensuration etc. It is to be noted that the emphasis in the examination will be on speed testing rather than concept testing. So spend your time on speed building by learning quick solution tips and tricks from some good books.
The question pattern of reasoning part easily be understand by referring to the previous clerk exam question papers. To solve question of reasoning you need to understand the concept behind each question. Generally question may be asked from coding decoding, sitting arrangement, direction test, syllogism, blood relation etc.
For computer section refer to any basic book of computer and read newspapers for current new technological development in the Internet world.
Reading Pratiyogita Darpan and news paper will be sufficient to score well in General awareness section.
English section is also very easy in the clerk examination. Overall you should not worry about the syllabus and question pattern of the exam. You should focus on the speed building by solving as many sample paper as you can.

IBPS CWE (Common Written Examination) for Clerk recruitment is sheduled to be held on and most of the student are working hard to be successful in the exam. Syllabus of the IBPS Clerk examination -

IBPS Common Written Examination (CWE) for Bank Clerk Recruitment 2011

IBPS (Indian Banking Personnel Selection) Board announced the Common written examination for Bank Clerks Recruitment whose score card will be necessary for applying in the upcoming recruitment of Clerks in any 19 nationalized Banks. This common written examination is the effort to reduce the time for recruitment of banking personnel in the 19 nationalized banks which has been facing a huge manpower crunch for last two years. Now there is no need for conducting separate examination by the individual banks for the recruitment of employees. They can directly invite applicants for the Interview who have valid score card. This process will dramatically reduce the overall time of recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management trainee/Clerks. Common Written Examination for Bank PO is scheduled at 18th of September 2011. Now its time for bank clerks.

Details of Common written examination for Clerks are as follows :--

Online application :- August 25 to Sep 24, 2011

Written test :- November 27, 2011

Eligibility criteria for Common Written Examination for Bank Clerk :--

Age limit for the candidates who is applying should be between 18 to 28 yrs, as on 1.08.2011, an additional relaxation for the reserved category is provided as per the Govt of India Rules.
Candidates must have Secured minimum 60% marks in Matric/ Std.10th/ SSLC OR minimum 50% marks in Hsc/ Std.12th or Intermediate/ Pre-University level OR should be Pass in degree (any discipline) from any recognized university, as on 1.08.2011
Each candidate have to appear for test only from that state in which he would prefer to work as he can apply to vacancies in that state only, in future.
Every candidates must possess proficiency in the official of regional language of the state from where he intended to work.

Application Fee

An application Fee of Rs.50 (SC/ST) or Rs.350 (others) have to be paid either Online through credit and debit cards or Offline by making the payment through Chalan at any of the branches of Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Central bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank & United Bank of India. Application fee can also be made through NEFT to the given account between 24 Aug to 23 Sep 2011.

How to Apply for Common written examination

After paying the fee you have to go to the website of IBPS for filling an online application form. You have to upload your passport size picture and signature during filling the online application form so, you need to scan your picture and signature. Once you scanned your picture and signature you need to go to online application form and fill all your personal information and upload your picture and signature at the given place. After submitting the application a registration number and a preview of your application form with signature and your photo will be generated. You should save that application form for further reference. Now application process is completed. There is no need to send any document to IBPS.

Question pattern for Common Written Examination for Bank Clerk :--

Question pattern and difficulty level for common Clerk exam would be same as previous bank clerk recruitment exams with Objective questions for a total of 250 marks in 150 Mins. According to the IBPS notification question structure will be as follows:-

In this post I want to suggest a Book for Reasoning written by R S Agrawal to my readers who want to learn the techniques of solving the Reasoning Questions generally asked in the Bank PO Exams or Bank Clerical exams. With a trend of increasing difficulty level of the reasoning section in the bank recruitment exams has become a matter of concern for many students. But as it is already announced on the IBPS website that the pattern of Common Written Exam (CWE) will be same as that of other Bank PO written exam of other banks conducted earlier and hence there is no matter of concern.

Structure of common written examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS

Here I am posting the table which shows the examination structure including four

different section and their alloted questions and their respective marks.

Duration for Objective Test consisting of Reasoning, English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) and Computer Knowledge will be 150 Minutes

The Duration for Descriptive Paper on English Composition (Essay, Precis, Letter Writing etc.) will be 60 Minutes

All the above Tests (except English) viz. Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (Maths/Mathematics), General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry), Computer Knowledge and Descriptive Paper will be printed in both English and Hindi languages.

From past few years Banking sector is proved to be no.1 in announcing vacancies among the public sector companies. The rising crunch of manpower forced public sector banks to hire employees in the bulk. But considering the large numbers of banks, separate recruitment process for each banks tends to be a lengthy process. Also job applicants had to apply for each banks separately and also have to appear for the separate written bank exams. This process was very costly and time consuming.

So Indian Banking Personal Selection Board who conducts written examination for the public sector bank's recruitment comes with a concept of Common Written Examination for all the public sector bank for simplifying the recruitment process and speeding the hiring of manpower. The formula of Common written examination is accepted by all the public banks except SBI group which continue to conduct their separate recruitment examination.

As stated above this Common Written Examination (CWE) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) which will be act as a pre-requisite for selection of employees for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Public Sector Banks
