Modalidad de Torneo: Fourball – 4-Personas por Equipo

Modalidad por equipos: 2-Personas con ¾ del handicap.

Definición: “2-Personas Mejor Bola” la modalidad de la competición es la mejor bola, del cual los equipos están formados por dos jugadores. Jugando un equipo contra otro, ya sea por golpes que por hoyos, es otra manera sencilla de llamar a la conocida modalidad “FourBall”. Cada jugador del equipo juega su propia bola hasta completar el hoyo, entonces se anota la puntuación más baja de las dos tarjetas para ese hoyo.

Los golfistas jugaran con ¾ de su handicap. Los golfpes se anotaran al principio de los hoyos.

Los dos jugadores de los equipos unirán sus tarjetas después de cada vuelta para obtener el resultado del día.

El resultado de las tarjetas de cada equipo estará expuesto en el Hotel Gleneagles cada tarde para conocer la posición.

El equipo con la mejor puntuación de los 4 días se proclamará como Campeón.

 

Programa de juego y selección de los campos de golf:

Cada equipo formado por 4 personas jugarán todos los 4 campos durante los 4 días del acontecimiento. Un sorteo se realizará antes del torneo para ver que equipos juegan y en que campos cada día. Una vez que los horarios de los campos de sus equipos se hayan confeccionado, se realizará otro sorteo para ver con qué país su equipo será emparejado para estos días de juego.

Ejemplo: Irlanda B v China C, Campo de Golf Killeen, hora de salida/tee time 11.20h & 11.35h, Lunes, 11 de Junio 2012.

Aer Lingus tiene tarifas promocionales para los golfistas que asistan al evento durante el mes de enero, entonces sería el mejor momento para reservar un vuelo.

Sunday 10th June

Arrive in the Gleneagle Apartments or Hotel.

TEAMS & FORMAT

 

Note: Each country can have multiple teams.

 

Tournament Format: 4-Person Team event.

 

Team Format: 2-Person best ball ¾ handicap.

 

Definition: “2-Person Best Ball” is a best-ball competition format in which the teams consist of two players. Played as one team vs. another, whether stroke play or match play, it’s simply another name for Four Ball. Each player on the team plays his own ball until completing the hole, then the lower of the two scores is recorded as the team score for that hole.

Golfers will play off of ¾ of their handicap. Shots apply to index of holes.

The two, two ball teams combine their score after each round to get their total score for the day.

Total team scores will be displayed in the Gleneagles hotel each evening in order of position.

The team with the best score after 4 days play are crowned Champions.

Schedule of play and selection of courses:

Each 4 person team will play all 4 courses over the 4 days of the event. A draw will be made in advance of the tournament to see which teams play which courses each day. Once your teams course schedule has been made you will then go into a draw to see which other country your two ball will be paired with for that days play.

Example: Ireland B v China C, Killeen course, tee time 11.20 & 11,35am Monday 11th June 2012.

This will be the same for both Ladies and Mens event.

Aer Lingus have agreed to run promotional fares for golfers attending the event for the month of January so that would be the best time to book a flight.

In order for the golfers to guarantee a team place we require a 250euro deposit per golfer to secure a team place.

Don’t also forget we have both a Ladies and mens event and we can also accommodate non-golf guests.
