What's your favourite make up look?
While I adore bold, dramatic looks and designs that create a statement, one of my favorites is a natural look! Simple, clean skin with a pinch of blush or a light dusting of bronzer, soft eyes with a pop of shimmer or color, and natural-looking lips with a dab of gloss. Letting the real you shine through your makeup while playing up your best features can be most flattering!

Do you have a beauty vice you swear by?
I can't think of any beauty "vices!"

What part of your body do you love?
People compliment me on my eyes often, and I try to play them up whenever I can!

Who is your beauty icon?
Marilyn and Audrey!

What are your favorite products?
This is a toughie - there are so many! MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, L'Oreal HIP liquid lip color, Stila eyeshadow in Kitten, the Olay Regenerist line... the list goes on.

What beauty product makes you feel instantly sexy?
A great lipgloss adds color, shine, and the appearance of fullness, which definitely makes me feel sexier!

How do you look after your skin?
Being an esthetician, I tend to overwork my skin, actually! I cleanse twice daily (well, when I remember), use at least one serum morning and night, and moisturize. SPF is a MUST every day! I also exfoliate a few times a week and other miscellaneous treatments and masks.

What is your signature scent?
Diesel "Fuel for Life," and on the lighter side, Estee Lauder "Pleasures."

What are your hair care secrets?
Here's my favorite tip for the shower! It works well for you ladies who find yourselves getting greasy quickly, have very dry ends, or both. Shampoo your roots well, then rinse through the rest of your hair. Condition the opposite way - start at your ends and work your way up, avoiding the roots and keeping the product light as you go up.

How do you pamper yourself?
Long, relaxing showers, at-home facials, and a nice nap once in a while!

What is your beauty pet peeve?
I have too many! Overdone smoky eyes (I'm talking girls who wear this look exclusively, everywhere), poor makeup application, cakey foundation, dirty looking bronzer...

What would your desert island must haves be?
Shampoo, soap, lip balm, and an endless supply of sunscreen!

What's on your to-buy list as of right now?
The new CoverGirl Blast collection, Sephora Lash Stash, Aromaleigh eyeshadow and foundation, more Urban Decay and MAC... the list goes on.

Review: IQ Derma Clear Remedy

Finally, after months of testing, I've come bearing my complete review of the IQ Derma Clear Remedy system. I've been using it consistently ever since I first posted about it over the summer, and am so excited to share my findings with you!

Keep reading for the full review of the system!

The IQ Derma Clear Remedy system is a 3-step regimen consisting of a cleanser, treatment lotion, and hydrating lotion. IQ Derma also sells a spot treatment and nutritional supplement within the line, which are not included in the kit.

The Clear Remedy Purifying Cleanser is an extremely gentle, non-drying cleanser that is excellent for all skin types. It has a wonderfully light scent that is not at all medicinal, so it hardly feels like an acne product! This face wash has a very gel-like consistency that is thick and emollient, so it won't dry out your skin, unlike many acne washes that are harsh and stripping. One bottle of this product will last forever, since you need a very small amount to cover your entire face. I recommend using a pea-sized dab, cleansing two times each morning and night, to get your face clean without that dry, tight feeling other cleansers may give you.

Next is the miracle product of the line, the Clear Remedy Acne Treatment Lotion. I have to say that this lotion is totally amazing, and by far my favorite in the whole system! The 2% salicylic acid is stronger than over-the-counter formulations, but still mild enough to not be extremely irritating. It also provides gentle exfoliation and smooths while keeping pores clear and unclogged. A variety of other bacteria-killing ingredients help treat current acne and prevent new breakouts. I absolutely love how my skin glows after using this treatment - it's like getting a mini peel every day! When you begin using this product, I suggest limiting application to once a day until you're sure your skin tolerates it well. For extremely sensitive skin, use once every other day to start.

Finally, the Clear Remedy Hydrating Lotion provides the finishing touch to your new, acne-free face. It's a creamy, moisturizing lotion that adds hydration back into the skin and helps keep oil balanced. While oily skin types may feel they don't need to add an extra moisturizer, ALL skin types can benefit from it! After cleansing or using treatments with ingredients like acids, adding moisture is essential - and this lotion is perfect. While it's lacking an SPF, a light layer works well underneath sunscreen and doesn't feel heavy or greasy. It also aids in calming and soothing while it targets discoloration from blemishes and redness.

Sounds great, right? But does the system work?

100% yes! I am so pleased with the complete turnaround my skin did after just a few weeks using the kit. When I first began, I was in the middle of one of my monthly hormonal breakouts and had some severely clogged pores and blackheads. After about three days of using the products, my skin felt soft and smooth, and I could see my blemishes healing before my eyes!

After a week or two, my blackheads began to diminish in appearance, looking less dark and noticeable. This is a huge plus to me, since I can never find anything to help my blackheads!

Now, after over two months on the system, I'm proud to say that my skin is completely smooth and acne-free. The few breakouts I did experience - those pesky hormonal ones - were very minimal, and after zapping them with my spot treatment, disappeared so fast that it was like they never happened. Poof!

Overall, I am incredibly pleased with IQ Derma Clear Remedy, and highly recommend it if you have tried other acne systems without success. IQ Derma isn't harsh or overly irritating, and instead focuses on nourishing and healing. Is it pricey? Yes. Is clear skin worth it? I think so!

As everyone probably knows by now, I'm a huge fan of body wash - I have at least 5 in my shower at any given point in time (along with a bar soap or two). New products go in and out of rotation all the time, but I think I've finally found one that has earned a rare spot on my list of all-time faves: Dove Body Wash with NutriumMoisture.

Onto the product itself: first, it feels amazing. It is definitely the thickest, richest body wash I've ever tried, and feels much more like a lotion. In fact, I'd say it's thicker than some body lotions I've tried! Like other Dove products, it contains a light, fresh, clean scent that is not overly feminine nor overpowering.

If you have sensitive skin, as I sometimes do, then the fragrance-free version is a great option for you - it has the same formula without any added fragrances and is soap-free, but still smells just as pleasant.

But how does the body wash perform? Exactly as Dove claims. I was worried that with the thickness of the product, it would feel greasy or oily when rinsed, but this is absolutely not true. It has a super-creamy, luxurious lather that washes completely clean, leaving no feeling of residue after. My skin felt noticeably softer and smoother after one use, and the results improved with each week, eliminating several dry spots on my arms and legs and reducing flakiness significantly. Not even the hard water of my shower can stand up to this body wash!

If you want a little exfoliation added to your cleansing routine, try the Gentle Exfoliating body wash. However, be warned that the formula is not quite as moisturizing as the others, and may not be best for sensitive skin. It's excellent for smoothing away rough, dry spots and polishing dull skin, though.

Overall, the entire collection is worth a try for everyone, especially those suffering from dry, dehydrated skin. With winter just around the corner, I highly recommend these products for keeping your skin in top shape - moisturized, smooth, and full of softness. This is truly a body wash to threaten your post-shower lotion, and after a few weeks of using Dove Body Wash with NutriumMoisture, you'll surely be slathering that lotion on a lot less.

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you might notice that while I have a lot of praise for body wash, there is no mention of bar soap to be found. That's because I had yet to find a bar soap I liked and refused to use one... until now.

L'Occitane Extra Gentle Shea Butter Soap is, hands down, my favorite bar soap - and the only one I'll use. As the name implies, it's an extremely gentle, moisturizing soap you can use every day. It's made with natural ingredients that aren't harsh (unlike the sulfates and other chemicals found in traditional soaps) and won't strip your skin of its natural moisture barrier. Surprisingly, it also lathers like a dream, even when used directly on the skin!

The soap comes in a variety of absolutely amazing scents that you're sure to love, too. Cinnamon orange, pictured above, is my favorite. Every time I use it, my bathroom smells delicious for days!

The soap is formulated in a 100% vegetable oil base and features the wonderful benefits of shea butter, which nourishes, softens, and conditions dry skin. Needless to say, it's been like a drink of water for my parched desert skin this summer. The first day I used it, the flakiness I usually experienced after every shower was nowhere to be seen - and I haven't put it down since.
