When Alyssa sent me this beautiful photo for her header, I wanted to come up with a unique way to frame it. I like the clean simplicity of the white background together with the purples that Alyssa loves.

Heart of the Matter {Online}

I am thrilled to death to announce the makeover of the Heart of the Matter {Online} site. This blog was a major learning experience. I've never worked with a magazine-style layout before, and there were lots of challenges along the way.

The site has 10 categories, which each have their own separate section on the home page. Heart of the Matter has lots of excitement in the works: the online magazine will also go to print starting with the January/February issue!

FYI: The database on my email program became corrupted, and to make a long story short, I appear to have lost lots of old emails and missed some new ones.

The Homeschool Post

The Homeschool Blog Awards site is undergoing a name change and will now be called The Homeschool Post. The site will still host the Homeschool Blog Awards, but the name change highlights the fact that the site is not just about the awards, but has a team of authors and a daily posting schedule.

Because the site uses a theme switcher (activated in the header), it has four new headers, one for each color scheme.

I am completely in love with this design. At one point I thought Pat was going to drop the "Sweet Tea" name, and I had just about decided to abandon my current blog name and use this header.

It's been great working with Pat. We met at She Speaks in June. She was so excited about my vision to attend Photoshop World in September that she helped sponsor me for the trip!
