effect on your future, I believe personal growth is the greatest. We can talk
about sales growth, profit growth, asset growth, but all of this probably will
not happen without personal growth. It's really the open door to it all. In
fact I'd like to have you memorize a most important phrase. Here it is:

day, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, at the office, anywhere you can see it
every day. &lt;b&gt;The major key to your better future is YOU.&lt;/b&gt; Try to remember that
every day and think about it. The major key is YOU.&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/blockquote&gt;

&lt;span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"&gt;Now, there are many things that will
help your better future. If you belong to a strong, dynamic, progressive
company, that would help. If the company has good products, good services that
you are proud of, that would certainly help. If there were good sales aids, that
would help, good training would certainly help. If there is strong leadership,
that will certainly help.&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/blockquote&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt;
&lt;span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"&gt; All of these things will help, and, of course, if it
doesn't storm, that will help. If your car doesn't break down, that will help.
If the kids don't get sick, that will help. If the neighbors stay halfway
civil, that will help. If your relatives don't bug you, that will help. If it
isn't too cold, if it isn't too hot, all those things will help your better
future. And if prices don't go much higher and if taxes don't get much heavier,
that will help. And if the economy stays stable, those things will all help. We
could go on and on with the list; but remember this, the list of things that
I've just covered and many more—all put together—play a minor role in your
better future.&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/blockquote&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt;
&lt;span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"&gt;The major key to your better future
is you. Lock your mind onto that. &lt;b&gt;This is a super important point to remember.
The major key is you. &lt;/b&gt;A friend of mine has always answered when asked,
"How do you develop an above-average income?" He says, "Simple.
Become an above-average person. Work on you." My friend says,
"Develop an above-average handshake." He says, "A lot of people
want to be successful, and they don't even work on their handshake. As easy as
that would be to start, they let it slide. They don't understand." My
friend says, "Develop an above-average smile. Develop an above-average
excitement. Develop an above-average dedication. Develop an above-average
interest in other people." He says, "To have more, become more."
Remember: work harder on yourself than you do on your job. For a long time in
my life, I didn't have this figured out.&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/blockquote&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt;
&lt;span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Strangely enough, with two different
people in the same company, one may earn an extra $100 a month, and the other
may earn $1,000. What could possibly be the difference?&lt;/b&gt; If the products were
the same, if the training was the same, if they both had the same literature,
the same tools. If they both had the same teacher, the same compensation plan,
if they both attended the same meetings, why would one person earn the $100 per
month and the other person earn the $1,000?&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/blockquote&gt;
&lt;blockquote&gt;

Last week&lt;b&gt; I was visiting with my Mom,&lt;/b&gt; she was sharing with me how her railroad retirement (much like Social Security for retired railroad workers and their families) didn't go up this year. According to the letter that she received their was no cost of living increase like they generally get on an annual basis. She said to me, "How can that be look at the price of gas from last year to this year." We had a long talk about the state of the economy today, I &lt;b&gt;shared with her stories I had heard&lt;/b&gt; of folks loosing their disability. Folks getting hit with tax bills unexpectedly for small enough amounts it's not worth hiring someone to fight it so they just pay it or have it garnished from their bonus check.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
George Washington once said, &lt;b&gt;"Where are the men of abilities why do they not come forth and save this country."&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Whether you want to admit it or not our country needs us the small business owner. It's the small business owner that has the ability to pull the country out of the mess we're in. It's what you do that makes a difference.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

You must have a vision of what you want. If you really want to grow like you never have before you also must buy into the work. Very important the work must go with the vision to accomplish extrondinatory achievement.&amp;nbsp;A new goal requires new thinking and new behavior.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Inspiration is contagious!&lt;/b&gt; Once your inspired your capable of doing great things.Buy into the vision, buy into the work isn't an option if you really want to live the life you desire.&lt;br /&gt;

The promise of a future is a very powerful idea. &lt;b&gt;Would you follow a leader who wants to pay you a Million dollars a month?&lt;/b&gt; Especially if that leader is a person who stands behind, has the history and backing to do it. This same leader spent 2 years and 20 million dollars searching for the right company. The Leader&amp;nbsp;was looking for.. Quality, Ethics, Values and Products that were 2nd to none.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once the leader found the right company he spent the next few years pulling together the right leadership team to help him accomplish his vision. By the way this leader has a very successful track record for re-branding and re-launching companies taking 3 different companies to over a billion dollars in sales. What the leader really wanted was a company he could pass down to his future generations.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The vision is strong, the leadership team is strong. &lt;b&gt;So what have they accomplished thus far?&lt;/b&gt; One of the many successful accomplishments so far is a dynamic new plan called the "Dream Plan".. but not only that another there is another plan that lay's over the traditional Dream Plan called Fast Track.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
As far as I know there is no other company that puts this amount (90K) of immediate cash flow into yor pocket. We all know it takes time to build a business either direct sales or a traditional business. The Fast Track plan takes away the time factor of earning a full-time income while your building the traditional organization.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The vision of this leader has been unfolding in front of me for the last few years and I've gotta say it's truly inspiring. Remember... &lt;b&gt;Inspiration is Contagious!&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;My answer is always the same when I'm asked questions about  building a Shaklee business. &amp;nbsp;I'm not any different than you. &amp;nbsp;I'm certainly not special in any way.&amp;nbsp;But, what I do going is consistency and a strong work ethic. &amp;nbsp;I'm dedicated! &amp;nbsp;I've &amp;nbsp;never been afraid to fail, and believe me I've &amp;nbsp;had my share  of what I prefer to call lessons, rather than failures. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Probably the most important thing we have in our favor is being consistent.&amp;nbsp; We are consistent with our thinking, our goals, our  effort, and the process.&amp;nbsp; That's it! &amp;nbsp;Consistency has been our secret,  if there is such a thing as a secret.&amp;nbsp; So many people stop and start, stop and  start, stop and start.&amp;nbsp; Believe me, if you'll just keep on trucking down the  road, being consistent with your thinking, your goals, your effort and of course  having a simple process to follow, and don't jump on every band wagon&amp;nbsp;you see,  and stick to the basic fundamentals of the business, &lt;b&gt;YOU WILL GROW.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

(some folks would say a good salesman) Yes it helps to have technology skills. (especially in todays market) Yes it helps to have a large network of business associates to help mentor you and mastermind with. But really...&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
What is the BIG Picture?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Self improvement is the "big picture" and sales are the "little picture".&amp;nbsp;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Self improvement is what it's really all about. &amp;nbsp;It's about getting better. &amp;nbsp;Sell yourself on the idea of getting better. Some people say that can't sell - Get better&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Some say they can't speak in front of a group - Get better&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Some say they can't find builders - Get better&lt;br /&gt;

I could go on and on about what I've heard people say they can't do and that is what stops them from making progress. &amp;nbsp;How does a person "get better?" &amp;nbsp; Attend meetings, read good books, try things more than once that might intimidate you, then do it again, then again, then again. &amp;nbsp;You'll get better. &amp;nbsp;Quit trying to convince yourself business is difficult. &amp;nbsp;Once you have developed a really good attitude I know what will happen....you'll get better.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Here is a short story from another Master Coordinator Gary Burke... &amp;nbsp;I almost didn't graduate from college because of a requirement to take speech class. I was scared to death to talk in front of a group. &amp;nbsp;Just the thought of it made me break out in a sweat. &amp;nbsp;But, no speech class meant no graduation. &amp;nbsp;I finally took speech. &amp;nbsp;Literally scared stiff. &amp;nbsp;I hated it. &amp;nbsp;To make a long story short, I made it through and received a "C" for my efforts. &amp;nbsp;I remember telling myself, I'll never do that again....speak in front of people. &amp;nbsp; Fast forward after speaking at over 6000 meetings in Shaklee. &amp;nbsp;I can't wait to do it again for the 6001 time.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Shaklee is an opportunity in so many ways and Jack Cranney is absolutely right on the money with what he said above. &amp;nbsp;Self-development IS the "big picture." &amp;nbsp;I've experienced it and so have so many others who are in this business.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sell yourself on one idea and then watch what happens to yourself. &amp;nbsp;Here is the idea.&lt;br /&gt;
Getting better is my goal! &amp;nbsp;At what you say? &amp;nbsp;At doing what it takes to build yourself an incredible future building your business.&lt;br /&gt;

Time is more valuable than capital. The time you set aside not to be wasted, not to be given away. Time you set aside to be invested in an enterprise that brings value to the marketplace with the hope of making a profit. Time properly invested is worth a fortune. Time wasted can be devastation. I have a friend, Lydia, whose first major investment in her new enterprise was desperation. She said, "My kids are hungry, I’ve gotta make this work. If this doesn't work, what will I do?" So she invested $1 in her enterprise selling a product she believed in. And the first job he got was as a night janitor. Someone said, "Bill, why would you settle for night janitor?" He said, "Malnutrition." You work at whatever you can possibly get when you get hungry. You go to work somewhere—night janitor, it doesn't matter where it is. Years later now, Bill is a recipient of the Horatio Alger award, rich and powerful and one of the great examples of lifestyle that I know. But, his first job—night janitor. Desperation can be a powerful incentive. When you say, “I must.”&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;3. Determination&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Determination says I will. First Lydia said, "I must find a customer." Desperation. Second, she said, "I will find someone before this first day is over." Sure enough, she found someone. She said, "If it works once, it will work again." But then the next person said, "No." Now what must you invest?&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;4. Courage&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Courage is more valuable than capital. If you've only got $1 and a lot of courage, I'm telling you, you've got a good future ahead of you. Courage in spite of the circumstances. Humans can do the most incredible things no matter what happens. Haven't we heard the stories? There are some recent ones from Kosovo that are some of the most classic, unbelievable stories of being in the depths of hell and finally making it out. It’s humans. You can't sell humans short. Courage in spite of, not because of, but in spite of. Now once Lydia has made 3 or 4 sales and gotten going, here's what now takes over.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;5. Ambition&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
"Wow! If I can sell 3, I can sell 33. If I can sell 33, I can sell 103." Wow. Lydia is now dazzled by her own dreams of the future.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;6. Faith&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Now she begins to believe she's got a good product. This is probably a good company. And she then starts to believe in herself. Lydia, single mother, 2 kids, no job. "My gosh, I'm going to pull it off!" Her self-esteem starts to soar. These are investments that are unmatched. Money can't touch it. What if you had a million dollars and no faith? You'd be poor. You wouldn't be rich. Now here is the next one, the reason why she's a millionaire today.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;7. Ingenuity&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Putting your brains to work. Probably up until now, you've put about 1/10 of your brainpower to work. What if you employed the other 9/10? You can't believe what can happen. Humans can come up with the most intriguing things to do. Ingenuity. What's ingenuity worth? A fortune. It is more valuable than money. All you need is a $1 and plenty of ingenuity. Figuring out a way to make it work, make it work, make it work.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;8. Heart and Soul&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
What is a substitute for heart and soul? It's not money. Money can't buy heart and soul. Heart and soul is more valuable than a million dollars. A million dollars without heart and soul, you have no life. You are ineffective. But, heart and soul is like the unseen magic that moves people, moves people to buy, moves people to make decisions, moves people to act, moves people to respond.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;9. Personality&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
You've just got to spruce up and sharpen up your own personality. You've got plenty of personality. Just get it developed to where it is effective every day, effective no matter who you talk to, whether it is a child or whether it is a business person, whether it is a rich person or a poor person. A unique personality that is at home anywhere. One of my mentors, Bill Bailey, taught me, "You've got to learn to be just as comfortable, Mr. Rohn, whether it is in a little shack in Kentucky having a beer and watching the fights with Winfred, my old friend or in a Georgian mansion in Washington, DC as the Senator's guest." Move with ease whether it is with the rich or whether it is with the poor. And it makes no difference to you who is rich or who is poor. A chance to have a unique relationship with whomever. The kind of personality that's comfortable. The kind of personality that's not bent out of shape.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;"&gt;And lastly, let's not forget charisma and sophistication. Charisma with a touch of humility. This entire list is more valuable than money. With one dollar and the list I just gave you, the world is yours. It belongs to you, whatever piece of it you desire whatever development you wish for your life. I've given you the secret. Capital. The kind of capital that is more valuable than money and that can secure your future and fortune. I've seen many discussions floating around online between what is right and not the right way to find folks to partner with in business.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So here are some online recruiting techniques that I feel are within the boundaries of ethical behavior. What would you add?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol style="list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; list-style-type: decimal; margin-bottom: 20px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 20px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 35px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;li style="list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; list-style-type: decimal; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;strong style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Facebook Ads.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;If you are interested in finding people with experience, who may have at one time worked with a competing company, or may be looking for a switch, running a targeted Facebook Ad that displays for people that have mentioned the other company is OK (as long as your company policies allow it.) But your ad should not belittle that other company in other way. Rather, it highlights the benefits of your opportunity. &amp;nbsp;The reason I think this is OK is because you’re not specifically targeting individuals. You’re simply providing information, and if someone is looking for a new opportunity, they can act should they choose to.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li style="list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; list-style-type: decimal; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;strong style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;A blog that is designed for recruiting.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;You should cover topics that would be of interest to someone looking for an opportunity, and provide a way for people to find out more about the opportunity you offer. Your blog should NOT recreate the opportunity page of your replicated website. Rather, it is more generic information that people interested in an opportunity may be searching for.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li style="list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; list-style-type: decimal; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;strong style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Answer questions on sites like LinkedIn and Forums.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;You can search for questions asked related to direct sales, small business, and working from home. This is a great way to demonstrate your expertise, and begin to develop relationships with folks.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li style="list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; list-style-type: decimal; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"&gt;&lt;strong style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Post ads on LinkedIn Jobs boards.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;Some groups have a “Jobs” section. If the topic of the group is applicable to what you have to offer (for example, working at home), feel free to post your opportunity there. Just be clear that it’s a business opportunity that requires an investment, and not a “job.” If group members are interested, they can contact you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;And of course, you can connect with people through your social networks, get to know them, share common interests, and listen. This will allow you to present the opportunity to individuals in relevant ways.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Even though many marketing websites will tout this.. trust me it's just not that easy. Notice I didn't say simple. Really internet marketing is a very simple business once you understand how it works.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In all reality internet marketing and social marketing are (or should be) very closely related. Social marketing is about caring so much for your customer they are on a pedestal and feel like they are treated like royalty. It's about offering a high-quality product they will go out of their way to come back to you to purchase. It's rapport building and relationship building.  And it works! It's old-school, time-tested, and the only marketing strategy that NEVER fails.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Thank goodness we already have an extraordinary, high-quality, product. All we have to do is build an equally extraordinary relationship with our clients.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
How do you do that?  No hype. No high pressure.  No claims you can't prove.  Just honest, sincere, relationship building and over-the-top service. In short, we need to treat our customers with the respect they deserve. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Think about it.  Why would a customer that is disrespected in any way recommend you to a friend?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Relationship building is the essence of  "guilt marketing" and it will take your business to new levels. Always give your customers a little bit extra. Meaning if you run accross something that you know is relevant to them or their business, send it to them by email, private Facebook message or FedEx. They'll appreciate your doing it. And they'll remember you and they will buy from you.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Whenever possible, throw in a few extras and don't charge for them. Or charge a ridiculously low price. That lets them know you really appreciate them as customers and that it's not just about the money.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

You might be wondering why would I put a video like this on a Marketing tips information blog. Well it's simple when your marketing your business you need to think of others needs more than your own needs.. and you don't want to let your own needs get in the way.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A perfect example of this was a phone call that my son Matt was telling me about yesterday. He got this phone call from someone selling an ad in the local phone book, he was actually considering it when the salesman added, &lt;b&gt;"well I need your decision tonite because our book goes to print tomorrow."&lt;/b&gt; It became very apparent to Matt this guy was under a deadline to make a last ditch effort to make a few last sales. Of course maybe it was going to print tomorrow, but the way it came across was... I need a sale from a desperate man on the phone.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Take the same situation and put a different attitude from the salesman. If he was truly thinking of his prospect, he would have said,&lt;b&gt;"I understand you need more time and I'll be happy to work with you to make a sound decision for your business, it might be better to work out a plan for next year since our books for this year are going to print tomorrow."&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The outcome still may have been the same, but at least the salesman would have had the door open to follow up for the next go around.&lt;br /&gt;

I live on this almost deserted dirt road.. you know the kind with grass that grows up in the middle. Today I took a chance being the middle of the afternoon and beautiful fall day and decided to go all the way to the corner where the road meets the highway.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I generally walk with Jake and Casey our 2 dogs and our 3 goats, Frank, Sally and Annie. I'm sure to most folks this might be a little unusual, but to us it's just what we do. Today on our trip home we meet not one but 2 vehicles.&lt;br /&gt;
Both of them stopped and we had a very nice chat.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;The first van was Shelly Crane's mom. According to her mom Shelly is a real estate agent in town and her mother sure thought she could use some goats to help eat an overgrown piece of property. When I told her Frank would be going to the sale barn as soon as the snow flies she turned off her van and got out and walked over to Frank to visit. I'm not sure where this conversation will go but who would think we would meet someone on our walk who would want to take Frank home.&lt;br /&gt;

He stopped and handed me his card. I guess he is just starting a new feed business in town. It turns out he's from Colorado, he and his wife moved to the area a few years ago and he used to sell to commerical feed lots, but now is focusing on small farms. He had just drove past our house and noticed the mules. So we are his "target market"...&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;After the general chit chat about the "goats"&lt;/b&gt; he mentions his brother is the Center for the &lt;b&gt;KState football team &lt;/b&gt;and is looking for a job. He say's if we watch the news at all we probably have seen him, because he is generally the one selected to do most of the interviews. I guess his brother had asked him if he had any sales positions open, but since he has just started himself he's not in a position to expand just yet. I visited with him about the possibilities we offer with our company and how extra income turned into full time income by building an organization of people who do what I do.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Of course I didn't have any business cards with me only my phone on my arm band, funny thing I didn't need a card. I just said the classic thing I alway's do when asked how to check into what I do.&lt;br /&gt;

Once again his cholesterol numbers have significantly dropped! At the time of his cardiac arrest 20 years ago, his cholesterol was over 400. For years the number gradually went down. Two years ago it was 179 and last year, after a year of being on Vivix, it was 138. That's when his statins were cut in half. Today Jim's total cholesterol is 97.  &lt;P&gt; Jim has struggled with the LDL (bad cholesterol) the most. He has a genetic condition that causes his body to produce too much of it. Originally the LDL was 240. For years he worked to get it to 140 and then to 120. It needed to be less than 100. After a year and a half on Vivix, it dropped to 90. Today it was 58 !!!!! &lt;P&gt; Jim's doctor made this comment: Nobody wants to deal with the problem. They just want to take a pill to have it go away. When that doesn't happen they get upset." He and his office staff consider Jim their poster child. Jim complies and does what's needed to be healthy, and we support him. &lt;P&gt; What Jim does each day: &lt;P&gt; 1. Takes Vitalizer, Vivix, Nutriferon, CoQHeart, Liver DTX Complex, and Joint Health Complex (had me order the new Cholesterol Reduction Complex right away, too!) &lt;P&gt; 2. Runs 5 miles (has never missed a day of running in 20 years) &lt;P&gt; 3. Drinks tea instead of coffee (Was addicted to coffee but switched to tea several years ago and dropped 30 points off his cholesterol total) &lt;P&gt; 4. Is his own boss - so he can run and rest as needed (Quit a 20 year corporate job at time of cardiac arrest 20 years ago and located his office at home) &lt;P&gt; 5. Makes decisions that eliminate as much stress as possible from his day. &lt;P&gt; Our youngest son Matt was 2 when Jim had the cardiac arrest. He got married on June 11 this summer. Twenty years ago, I never imagined that with 3 arteries 100% blocked and the 4th blocked 70%, that Jim would even live to see his youngest son grow up. It's good to note, too, that our three sons and I have supported all of Jim's efforts, and as a result we are healthier ourselves. Our family experience is proof that great health is primarily in the hands of the individual and the choices he or she makes. &lt;b&gt;A great example of using social media to "spread the word" about Shaklee &lt;/b&gt;comes from Arthur, a professional musician who teaches and performs around the country. He is a good friend of Bob Ferguson Shaklee Master Coordinator, and they were talking one day and Art asked if Bob had anything that would clean up his diet which you can imagine was a mess being on the road all the time. He shared the Cinch Plan and got started 3 days before he went back on the road.&lt;br /&gt;

This is a real physical, physiological thing.  Part of the Reticular Formation is the &lt;B&gt;Reticular Activating System (RAS)&lt;/B&gt;.  The RAS has one job and one job only.  Its job is to filter information; and it is superb at what it does.  We are constantly exposed to, and bombarded by so much information, data, stimuli and even opportunities, that if we consciously tried to register it all, process it all and think about it all, we would literally go crazy.  We would be in a constant state of "overload".  So the RAS (which remember, is VERY good at what it does) constantly filters out "extraneous" and "superfluous" information and data.  &lt;B&gt;It's like a "Spam Filter" for your mind.&lt;/B&gt; &lt;P&gt; The crucial question then becomes:  How does the RAS determine what it needs to filter out?  The RAS is constantly asking three questions in order to decide &lt;B&gt;what you need to know and be aware of&lt;/B&gt;: &lt;UL&gt; 	&lt;LI&gt;1.  Is it my responsibility? 	&lt;LI&gt;2.  Is it important? &lt;LI&gt;3.  Does it match my version of'the truth'? &lt;/UL&gt;  Whatever information, data or stimuli you are exposed to must satisfy all three questions.  It's not the best two out of three.  It is not a democracy or majority rules.  It must satisfy ALL THREE criteria before the RAS will allow you to be aware of it - that includes any opportunities that you come across.  Lets look at the first question the RAS asks to see why you may have blind spots and can't see opportunities that are all around you. &lt;P&gt; &lt;B&gt;1. "Is it my responsibility"? &lt;/B&gt;- Have you ever gone someplace you've never been before, in an unfamiliar part of town, as a passenger in someone else's car?  After you got there did you realize that you had absolutely no idea how to find your way home?  It has probably happened to most of us. On the other hand, had you driven there yourself, would you have been able to find your way home?  More than likely.   &lt;P&gt; Why in the first case were you clueless, but in the second case you noticed the gas station on the corner, the white picket fence, the church steeple and all the other landmarks that would help you find your way out of there?  Because, in the second case you knew you were responsible for getting there and back.  However, in the first case you knew you weren?t responsible, so your RAS decided you didn't need that information, filtered it out and you never saw the important landmarks that could help you find your way home. The "Mom Factor" &lt;P&gt; I would like all of you mothers reading this to think back to when your first child was an infant (I'm sure the following was true of all of your children, but think especially of your first child).  They were just old enough that they had graduated from the bassinet by your bed to their own crib, in their own room down the hall.  The first few weeks do you remember how you would be sound asleep in the middle of the night, and out of a sound sleep, all of the sudden you knew that you had to be down the hall checking on your child.  You don't know what you heard; you're not even sure that you had heard anything; you just knew you had to be there, and in a heart beat you are wide awake and at that child's bedside making sure that everything is OK. &lt;P&gt; It's the third time that night that you have been up to check on your child.  As you return to your bed, you decide that it is important for your husband to know that THIS! -  IS! -  THE! -  THIRD! -  TIME! that you have been up to check on HIS! child.  So, you THROW! yourself on the bed and JERK! the covers back over to you, just to make sure your husband appreciates that this is the THIRD! time you have been up ? and your husband sleeps through the whole thing.  He never heard you get up, was never aware that you came back to bed, and never even felt you jerk the covers back over.  &lt;P&gt; Now, in some of your homes, later that night, the family dog starts yapping in the back yard.  Dad jumps out of bed, throws open the window, shouts at the dog to shut up, comes back to bed - and Mom sleeps through the whole thing.  How is it that Mom can hear a virtually inaudible sleeping baby, but can?t hear barking dogs and Dad can hear dogs, but can't hear babies?  It's simple ... in your home the roles have been defined such that Mom is responsible for the baby and Dad is responsible for the dog.  &lt;P&gt; &lt;B&gt;Your RAS will filter out any information that you are not responsible for and make you unaware of it.&lt;/B&gt; &lt;P&gt; I've often heard it said that wisdom comes with age.  But, that is not true.  The only thing that automatically comes with age - is old. That's all you get.  Wisdom comes when you accept responsibility for your life.  I know 80-year-olds with no wisdom and 18-year-olds with plenty. The &lt;B&gt;difference is that the 18-year-old has accepted responsibility for their life and future, but the 80-year-old is still blaming everyone and everything around them for their stature in life.&lt;/B&gt; &lt;P&gt; All of us spend the first nine months of our lives on a waterbed.  It is warm.  It is cozy.  All of our needs were met without us having to do a thing.  Then we are born, the doctor cut the umbilical cord, slapped us on the rear end and then 95% of us spend the next 50 years of our lives looking around for someone else we can plug our umbilical cord into to take care of us. Maggie describes her 84-year-old mother as living on her own, by herself, in a small town in Vermont. She has 3 grown kids (including Maggie)who live in the same town.  At least once a day, at least one of the kids checks in on her.  One day in the late fall she was walking down her long gravel driveway to her mailbox.  On her way back to the house, she stumbled, fell into the ditch and broke her hip.  &lt;B&gt;She lay there for four and a half hours before Maggie stopped by on her way home from work and found her.&lt;/B&gt;  She called 911 and got her to the hospital.  &lt;P&gt; The next morning Maggie was visiting her in the hospital and this is the conversation she described.  She said to her mother, "Mom, weren't you scared laying there with a broken hip for four and a half hours?  She said, "Not at all. I knew one of you kids would be by."  Then Maggie said, "Well, you must have been in an awful lot of pain!"  Her mom said, "Maggie, when I fell, I landed right in this pile of leaves, and they smelled sooooo good!"  &lt;P&gt; Finally Maggie said, "Well, you must have been freezing because all you had on was a light sweater!"  She responded, "You know, every once in awhile the sun would come out from behind a cloud and I don't think I've ever appreciated sunshine as much as I did yesterday."  There was nothing he could say that would bring her down. Do you think that is because she "felt" that way?  Or do you think that is because that is the way she decided to live her life?  &lt;B&gt;It's all about the choices we make every day of our lives.&lt;/B&gt; &lt;P&gt; Most people decide how they are based upon the circumstances - based upon their feelings at the time.  One of the most important lessons that I've learned is that the feelings follow the behavior, not the other way around. Every day we get to choose our attitude by how we choose to behave.  &lt;B&gt;It's very difficult to behave one way and feel another.&lt;/B&gt;  So choose a positive attitude, regardless of the circumstances. &lt;P&gt; If you wait for everything in your life to line up perfectly so you can have a positive attitude... your job, your business, your spouse, your teenage kids - you will never have a positive attitude.  What do you think is more attractive in life, business or relationships? a positive attitude or a negative attitude?  Which do you think will attract more success in your life?  Which do you think will attract more abundance?  Which do you think will attract more people that you want to be around and want to be around you? &lt;P&gt; The next time you hear someone say, "I'm doing pretty well under the circumstances." why don't you ask them, "Well, what are you doing under there anyway?" &lt;P&gt; I know some of you are thinking, "Well, if you had everything going on in your life that I have going on in mine, you wouldn't be enthusiastic and positive either."
