Happy St. Patrick's Day -- or perhaps, "Top of the Mornin' To You!" hee hee. Love this crazy holiday. I can't resist holidays. ANY holiday. I'm Hallmark's dream girl.

I'm one of those crazy people who decorates for everything --at least a bit anyway. Sadly, I'm also a huge procrastinator, so my St. Patty's Day ideas are all still in my head, and not in hand.

Let's start with dinner -- we will be having Rob's favorite sandwich, "The Rueben".  (I did do the grocery shopping... I'm not that far behind!)  Don't think about the diet when you eat them, you'll regret it. I roast the meat and then slice it as thin as I can (which is still thickish -- I think that's the secret.)

Next fun thing that I want to make, but don't know if I'll have time...

These are from Bakerella, and are mint chocolate truffles. I think the kids would love these, and they'd be a great hit tonight at baseball practice. I'd be instantly the most popular parent in the world, and that's always a good thing. I'm not above some bribery.

This is from Skip to My Lou for Green Candied Popcorn. Eric would eat all of this within minutes of it hitting the table. I'd sadly watch him as I gave up sugar for Lent. 

I might just whip up green milkshakes.  That's always an easy treat that looks impressive if you're 8 years old.  I'd still get "super mom" ranking without having to really do anything.

This week, I was lucky enough to score some crafting time.  I played along with a couple of the Paper Craft Planet challenges... and BOY was I challenged.

First, I played along with Amy's 3d challenge....

Cool, right?! I was so happy with how it turned out.  I feel like I made a Longaberger basket...really!

Next, was my own challenge.  You're getting a sneak peak of tomorrow's sketch challenge.  

For the record, I'm doing the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace course.  I'm all about the budget right now.  I used the new Chicken Girl digi stamps from i{heart}papers.  There is nothing like the instant gratification of downloadable stamps.  Sigh.  Makes me feel a little budget guilty... but it doesn't last.  Digi stamps are cheap, resizeable and you have them forever in every size.  Makes them almost perfect. 

I printed this cute little bunny on my Neenah paper from Paper Temptress.  I colored it with my Copics (from i{heart}papers) and put it together with some older SU papers that I had in my stash.

Friend turned me onto this video and I fell out of my chair laughing. It's pretty "PG" but keep the little kids out of the room if language is a concern :)

If you want to make a calendar book, I've made a template of the inner calendar pages using Sunghee's template for you. If you're savvy with Photoshop, just "turn on" the layers that you want to print and print them. (I'm going to use this calendar template for the cover soon, found at the Shutter Sisters' website.)

You'll need:

• 1 piece of cardstock for the cover, cut to 8.5 x 4. Score this at 4 and 4 1/2.
• 6 pieces of cardstock for the inner pages. Print these and cut them to 4x8, scored at 4.
• Glue the pages together to form a book and adhere the cover around the outside.
• Add pictures.

The entire book takes about an hour, less if you're making it for a second time.

I hope you love this as much as I do!!! I can't wait to see what you make from this. Here are some ideas for a great little book like this:

• Baby book -- one picture per month and then journaling on the opposite page.
• Calendar book -- we did that here :)
• Mini cookbook -- pictures of recipes on one sides and recipes on other side.
• Sports mini book -- pictures of players on one side, sports stats on the other.

I know you can come up with even more! Play along! Make a book and upload the pictures to Paper Craft Planet.

I made a little box to go with it, but in typical "Susanna" fashion, I gave it away before getting a chance to photograph it. I'll try to make another one.  I also couldn't figure out whether to color the MP3 player.  I don't think it has to be colored, but in the end, I couldn't resist.

Yep, still so cute! The stamp is "Pure Innocence" and it's called "My Balloon". I'm smitten. I going to share a couple of tips --

• Cut the Nestability first and then stamp, using the die as a mask. You can tell I did NOT do this. For this image, it's really hard to line up the 1/2 balloon with the cut line. This would have made my grass look better too.
• Pick the papers and then color. I finally wised up and did this and I'm so much happier with how "cohesive" the final card looks.
