Have you ever been to a site, and there were words underlined, and they were links that you could click on, that take you to another site?  I don’t mean links that were created by the user.

Well, I’ve been a blogger for some time now and never knew exactly how those links appeared, or what they did for the publisher.  Well I do now!!

Sometimes I just like to tell a story about my life, or just talk about something, without trying to promote anything, so it’s nice to find out these posts can now bring in cash too!

I use a few other affiliate sites, but this one may turn out to be my favorite!  You just type up your blog posts, stories, etc. – and Viglink will add affiliate links to the appropriate words automatically!   I’ve read other bloggers refer to this as “blogging with integrity”, because you’re not adding your own affiliate links just to sell a product, get clicks, etc.  You don’t have to add any special links at all!  And best of all, this affiliate site is FREE!  You just sign up, add your unique code to your blog (I use WP and just added it to a text widget in my sidebar), and voila!  It adds affiliate links automatically to any words that need it.

And if you refer other bloggers, you’ll get 30% of what they make for their first year!  So yes, if you click on my Viglink and sign up, I’ll get 30% of your sales – but this does not come out of your pocket!  And if you refer others, you’ll get 30% of their sales too!  This is a clear win-win!

Oh, how my feet love a good pampering!  There is nothing better than being on your feet all day, and getting them pampered at the end of the day.  Well, I have had the opportunity to review a foot soak, foot scrub, and foot lotion from Harmony Aromatherapy.  Don’t be jealous

I received this really nice package, and it contained foot soak, foot scrub and foot lotion in a Lavender Peppermint scent.  I opened one just to smell it and instantly fell in love with the scent.  I’ve never smelled lavender and peppermint together before, and it’s just invigorating!

I do a lot of reviews for companies, and usually it takes me about a week to review items.  But this is one I had to try right away.  The night this package arrived, I gave my footsies a nice treat!   The foot soak was peppermint lavender essential oils blended into sea salt.  I poured them into a basin of hot water and just let my feet soak for a while.  I may have even started to doze off a little bit.  It was just so relaxing,  and just felt so good!  After soaking for a while, I scrubbed my feet with the Lavender Peppermint foot scrub.  The fine pumice scrub works off dry skin and makes your feet feel really soft. This scrub felt wonderful. You can really feel it working on your feet when you scrub.  When the soaking and scrubbing was over, I put the lotion on my feet.  I have really dry feet, so I really needed this.  When I was done, I have to admit, I was a little sad the pampering was over.  My feet felt really rejuvenated though!  I wish I had enough product to do this for my feet every night!  And I can’t tell you enough, how wonderful this smelled.

I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing a bottle of lotion from Greenchild Creations.  Anne, the owner of Greenchild Creations, asked what kind and scent I’d like, and if I had any skin issues.  I told her I live in NY and the brutal wind and cold is drying out my skin terribly, and told her to pick whatever she thought was best.   I was delighted to find that she sent me Orange Petals!  Orange is one of my favorite scents!

Between the harsh winter NY weather and the sanitizers I use that dry out my skin, I go through a lot of hand lotion.  I have favorites that I tend to buy the most.  I don’t like greasy or oily feeling lotions, and it’s easy for me to tell a quality lotion from a cheap one.

As soon as I opened the bottle I could smell that beautiful orange fragrance.  It is also scented with rose geranium, and lavender essential oils.  It smelled so good!  What a great scent combination.  And it is 100% natural!  I applied a little to my hands and it was so creamy.  Not oily or greasy.  It felt so good on my hands, and it lasted for quite a while too.  A little goes a long way with this lotion.  I would consider this a quality lotion for sure.  And can you believe, a 2 oz bottle only costs $4? (A 2.5 oz tube of Burt’s Bees lotion costs $13!)  So this is a GREAT deal!

Week 2 was easier than week 1.  We’re finding we’re not as hungry as we were in week 1, I guess our bodies are getting used to not eating as much. It’s still not easy, but it’s easier.
