Newman’s Own Organics Chocolate Bars: Dark Chocolate, and Orange Dark Chocolate. — These sound like awesome chocolate bars. We haven’t tried these yet. You really have to understand, I am on a diet and my husband won’t eat chocolate unless we are sharing it. Isn’t that nice

Pretzels: Pretzel Thins, Mighty Mini’s and Spelt Pretzels – We tore open the Pretzel Thins and these are some of the best pretzels we’ve had! Not too salty, but there was a flavor on the pretzel, unlike other store bought pretzels that are suppose to be salty and all the salt is at the bottom of the bag! The huge plus to these — ORGANIC and normal tasting!

Mints: Cinnamon, and Wintergreen. – Packed in very cool tins that we will be saving, leaves your breath minty fresh. Have yet to try the cinnamon ones, guessing they are like red hot candies.

Dried Fruit: Raisins and Apricots. We haven’t tried these yet, but my husband took dibbs on the Raisins.

We also received No Salt microwave popcorn. Not tried yet.

Why are these our top four?

The Peanut Butter Cups Milk Chocolate left me wanting more! I’ve tried other Peanut Butter cups but haven’t liked them as much as Reeses, now, these are in the running

The Fig Newmans were so good, I ate 6 instead of 2 cookies!

Newmans Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies were awesome. We almost ate the entire bag when we opened them. So we had to put the bag away and out of site so we could have more later!

Newman’s Pretzel Thins because they lasted a while even though we loved them.

Lately I’ve heard a lot about kids killing themselves because they were being bullied and NOTHING was done about it.  The kids felt there was no other way out!  I find it so sad that in today’s world kids are still bullying other kids!  I find it intolerable that the schools, teachers and principals have NO bullying policy!

I was a bullied kid.  I remember not wanting to go to school because of the 4 boys and 2 girls that were bullying me.  I told my mother and my mother went and spoke with the principal who did not tolerate bullying.   Those kids got in so much trouble and I was told that if they bothered me again to go directly to the principal which I didn’t have to do.  I was in elementary school when that happened.  That was about 40 years ago! Once you are bullied and made fun of repeatedly, you never forget what it was like or how you felt!

What is the LIHEAP Program?
The LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) is a federally funded program that provides support to needy low-income households for utility bill payments. Federal funds are distributed to each state and the individual states then administer the program and funds distribution. LIHEAP pays partial energy bills for eligible families.

What is the WAP Program?
WAP, or the Weatherization Assistance Program was created in 1978 to help low income families reduce their energy costs. The WAP program provides for home improvement in the form of insulating walls and ceilings, repairing broken windows, caulking and weather proofing and by replacing inefficient heating and cooling appliances.

The program usually makes payments directly to your local utility company. Because the LIHEAP program provides support on a first come-first serve basis, it is important to apply as early as possible as some states provide no further support once their federal funding has run out.
