<p>I found a great short video tutorial from Derek Fredrickson on how to get more Facebook fans from your personal profile to get them over to your fan page.</p>

<p>So are Apps just another fad or are they going to fade away like an A track?  Well it won&#8217;t be for anytime soon.  They are evolving and gaining speed every day.  Companies are jumping in, improving people&#8217;s lives and they are making millions in the process.</p>
<p>I found a great article from Amish Shah, a guy who sold his app company for millions of dollars, on his 2012 predictions on Apps.</p>
<p>========</p>
<p><strong>1) </strong>By the end of 2012, people will begin to switch from being App Consumers to App Creators!<a href="http://barryrealmarketing.com/go/AppEmpire/"><img class="alignright" style="margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; border: 0px;" title="apps business" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3210/3077403587_4c8024a80d_m.jpg" alt="3077403587 4c8024a80d m Whats The Deal With Apps? <p><strong>2) </strong>App stores will intelligently recommend Apps based on Apps’ number of purchases and usage amounts.</p>
<p><strong>3) </strong>Apple’s products -ipod/iphone/ipad- will be one of the top video game consoles along with Sony products, Nintendo products, and Microsoft products.</p>
<p><strong>4)</strong> Smartphone sales will pass computers!</p>
<p><strong>5)</strong> Apps will become the main communication medium between businesses and consumers using cloud technology replacing email, and they will function more like an instant message or text message but with MAJOR enhancements.</p>
<p><strong>6) </strong>The technology for the use of Apps will force hardware to “catch up.”</p>
<ul>
<li>Like a cutting board in the kitchen with a screen on it showing you how to cut those crazy flowers out of a carrot while you’re using the cutting board to actually do it! <strong>Zoltar says</strong> that this app would be something like <em>Gourmet Chef Training</em>, much like Disney has done with merging the physical world with Apps.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Zoltar says</strong> that, “the advancement and development of Apps will give birth to a major boom and push in the hardware industry.”</p>
<p>AND HE SAYS THAT…</p>
<p><strong>7)</strong> Apps will replace traditional media!</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Zoltar says</strong> that “it’s already happening so not really a prediction, although it’s going to accelerate VERY rapidly!”</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>8 )</strong> Amazon will push hard into the app store space and the tablet space at a much quicker pace!</p>
<p><strong>9) </strong>The adoption of Android will grow faster than most people estimate because of the flexibility.</p>
<p>And for App Developers out there… <strong>Zoltar says…</strong></p>
<p><strong>10)</strong> Companies that develop Apps for mobile e-wallet purchases and integration of social coupon sharing will explode and the Adapters that get into the game now will be bought out very quickly for huge sums of money.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Zoltar stated</strong> tag lines like, “Swipe your smart phone instead of your debit card” or “Tap it, Swipe it, and Buy it” … will pop up!</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>11)</strong> And by adding a social plugin, it will take it to the next level.  <strong>Zoltar said</strong> that “Jim was able to send a 50 cent coupon for product X to 500 of his Facebook or social media friends.” <em>(Hint! Hint!)</em></p>

<li>This will be the ‘personal sharing with friend’ and trust factor! Major brands will kill for this because they don’t have the power of trust Jim has with Jane, of course!</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>12) </strong>And finally, as India, and south America continue to get online with less internet restrictions,<strong>Zoltar says</strong> that we’ll see a boom of hundreds of millions of new people eager to consume on mobile, and advertisers and <em>smart</em> App Developers are licking their chops!</p>
<ul>
<li>App Developers who want to focus for these markets are prime to be bought out for enormous sums as well in a very quick time, 14 months tops.  Again the money is in the collection of the data.</li>
</ul>

<p>If you haven&#8217;t seen the video about Caine&#8217;s Arcade then I have posted it below.  The short of it is he got one customer&#8230;.1 customer! and that has resulted in him making <span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>$204,427.91 so far and growing!</strong><span style="color: #000000;">  This boy is 9 years old&#8230;.and has a CARDBOARD arcade.  He impressed one customer, and look at what this has done for him and his families life.  You never know when you might meet that one customer. </span></span></p>

<p>Caine is a 9-year-old from Boyle Heights, CA with a great gap-toothed grin and big belief in his creation: A do-it-yourself game arcade cobbled together of cardboard boxes, lots of tape, a few tools, toys and a lot of imagination.</p>
<p>It dominates the waiting room of his father’s used auto parts store in an area of east LA that gets little to no foot traffic. Yet Caine continued to build and improve, and dreamed of the day when crowds would come and enjoy playing his games as much as he enjoyed creating them.</p>
<p>And then he found a champion. Or, one found him. Either way, it has made for a powerful story that speaks to the impact of advocacy in a digital age and reinforces lessons marketers can’t hear often enough.</p>
<p><strong>It’s amazing the incredible influence even one customer can have over the fortunes of a business</strong>…or one small boy.</p>
<p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-406" title="caines arcade" src="http://barryrealmarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/cainesarcade-300x272.jpg" alt="cainesarcade 300x272 Caines Arcade Shows How Every Customer Is Important" width="300" height="272" />Struggling independent filmmaker Nirvan Mullick happened upon Caine’s Arcade while in search for a used part for his aging Toyota. The swing on the tree in front of the shop set it apart; the jerryrigged games inside and the small boy’s enthusiasm clinched the deal.</p>
<p>As Mullick recounts on the Caine’s Arcade website: “I asked Caine how it worked and he told me that for $1 I could get two turns, or for $2 I could get a Fun Pass with 500 turns. I got the Fun Pass.”</p>
<p>And he realized that here was an opportunity to act on his own imaginings through film.  “What if you could look into a stranger and know what it was that they wanted more than anything else in the world, and figure out a way to choreograph, and make that perfect moment happen for them in their life?” he told a <a href="http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/culture/2012/04/caines-arcade-nirvan-mullick.html#ixzz1v8uoifJe" target="_blank">New Yorker</a> interviewer.</p>
<p>“When I ran into Caine, I knew how to create a perfect moment for this boy. I knew what he wanted more than anything: customers.”</p>
<p>The choreograph started with a surprise flash mob of people who wanted to play, organized through a Facebook event that gave the Caine’s Arcade story its viral legs. When Mullick’s film was posted on YouTube in April, the story exploded. (It’s captured nearly 3 million views on YouTube and 3.3 million views on Vimeo to date.)</p>
<p>It trended on Twitter.</p>
<p>It made Reddit’s front page.</p>
<p>In a little more than 24 hours after its posting, it had generated over $100,000 in donations to a scholarship fund he set up for the boy.</p>
<p>Letterman called. So has the media.</p>
<p>It’s inspired other kids and educators, too, helped by the Caine’s Arcade Foundation, with a mission of finding, fostering and funding creativity and entrepreneurship in kids.  And that has led to more <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/307587742652034/" target="_blank">Facebook exposure</a> and real life buzz as well. Like Caine’s Arcade School Weeks that have been held in classrooms around the world to encourage youngsters to unleash their inner inventiveness.</p>
<p>And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.</p>
<p>It took just one advocate who smartly employed a variety of social tools to create legions of advocates for Caine and his arcade. If you can find a way to spark the same emotional connection with your brand, who knows how far your advocates can take you?</p>
