Rashard Mendenhall rumbled over the Broncos for 155 yards on 22 carries as the Steelers (6-2) handed Denver its second straight loss after the Broncos opened the season 6-0 under rookie coach Josh McDaniels.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are starting to look like the Super Bowl Champions they were last year. Denver found out that Pittsburgh can win on the road and their trademark defense is as good as it ever was. For the Broncos they need to protect the ball better or they will struggle rest of the year. When you turn the ball over in this league chances of getting wins are real low.

NHL Hockey Schedule November 10, 2009

Pittsburgh at Boston

Minnesota at Toronto
Porter should have learned by now that when you get the Patriots and especially Tom Brady upset all it will do is piss him off and his teammates as well. You think that players would have learned that a few years ago when a Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back called Tom Brady out. Needless to say it was a long day for that Steeler defensive back.

Does Tom Brady get more calls than anyone else? Probably, but honestly what superstars in sports do not. Michael Jordan got them in basketball and certain baseball players get them as well. It is just part of the game. Calling a player out like Tom Brady is not a good thing. Brady's record after getting called out is pretty good so since we are making rules up for Tom Brady No.1 is no trash talking.

Chiefs Give Larry Johnson The Boot!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 65px; height: 90px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Yq0KpB0bL1c/Svh_OKU-mvI/AAAAAAAABlg/XYK0OtSjdwI/s320/1aaaw367.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5402207634298149618" />

The Chiefs confirmed Monday that they had run out of patience with his off-the-field problems and released Johnson the day he was due to come back from his second suspension in a year. You really had to expect this to happen. Johnson has great talent, but it seems his off the field problems have caused him more press than his playing ability.

Johnson who will turn 30 November 19 has struggled getting things together. A No. 1 draft choice out of Penn State in 2003, Johnson was one of the best running backs in the NFL in 2005 and 2006, rushing for more than 1,700 yards in each of those Pro Bowl seasons. Then he seem to just lose his focus and has had problems ever since. On Oct. 25, in what turned out to be his final episode with the Chiefs, he posted on his Twitter account several insults to fans, questioned coach Todd Haley's credentials and used a gay slur.

I guess Johnson will land somewhere else, but unless he gets himself straighten out he will just be in the same position he is right now. Hopefully he will learn from this experience and be able to grow from it. In my opinion I highly doubt it. That is a shame because he is a talented football player.
<img width='1' height='1' The team said Friday that the slugger exercised his $20 million contract option for 2010. His agent Scott Boras informed general manager Ned Colletti of the decision, which Ramirez had until this month to make.

The Milwaukee Brewers traded J.J. Hardy to the Minnesota Twins for outfielder Carlos Gomez. This trade makes no sense for the Brewers, but they wanted to move Hardy so I guess the winners in this trade was the Minnesota Twins.

The Philadelphia Phillies picked up the option on Cliff Lee as expected. Lee was outstanding for the Phillies after they got him from the Cleveland Indians. Look for the Phillies to sign him long term as well.

Look for many changes in Chicago with the White Sox. They have traded Josh Fields away and bought out Jermaine Dye's contract so it could be many changes amoing the White Sox this off-season.

Boise State Avoids Upset Bid

With an opportunity to show a national television audience why they should once again become a BCS buster, a close game on the road was not what the Broncos (No. 7 BCS, No. 5 AP) had in mind to show people what they could do. Kellen Moore threw for 354 yards and three touchdowns, and Boise State remained unbeaten and in contention for a BCS bid with a 45-35 victory over Louisiana Tech on Friday night.

Boise State won the game and that is all that matters as they stay unbeaten. The bad news for Boise State is it seems they are held to a higher standard and a win like this does not really help them. A big name school wins a game like this nothing really is said about it. When Boise State does it people seem to think they got lucky. I think many people do not want to see Boise State make it to a BCS bowl game. In the end if they keep winning they will be there.
