Been a while

2014-08-26T18:00:00.000-07:00

The playoff races are heating up. Mariners looking like Cano may be worth the $$$. Orioles might miss Machado dearly. Nationals are quietly having the best record in baseball. A's and Angels are locked in tight one. Enjoy baseball fans!!!

Red Sox, Boston Strong

2013-11-03T19:43:00.002-08:00

The boys from beantown really showed that they were the best team this year, and that they also can grow some serious facial hair when needed. They also showed us that they still know how to drink beer, even after Francona left. See images below for visual evidence (Winning, Beards, Booze)

Bean Town Bombers

NEWS Flash.....Boston is good

Old Hickory Puig

2013-10-08T10:58:00.000-07:00

The playoffs are here and the LA Dodgers are going to the NLCS, Yasiel Puig is a big reason! He swings an Old Hickory bat, which is what Mike Trout swings. So if you are a young player with a great arm, great speed, power, charisma, you better be swinging a old hickory. *Results not guaranteed, you will most likely get sawed off and be holding fire wood, rather than be playing in LA....

Jolly Roger

2013-09-03T10:07:00.002-07:00

The Pittsburgh Pirates are on the verge of making the playoffs!!!! Yes, I said that. They clinched their first +.500 season in years over the weekend. Personally I love the vibe that they have, and their logo is top notch as well.

ANGELS!!!

2012-12-18T14:03:00.003-08:00

WOW! OUT OF LEFT FIELD (PUN INTENDED) THE ANGELS GRAB JOSH HAMILTON. WITH HIM, PUJOLS, TRUMBO, AND NOT TO MENTION TROUT THEY LOOK TO BE THE TEAM TO BEAT OUT WEST. WILL NEED SOME HELP ON THE MOUND THOUGH, I DID READ THAT HAMILTON PITCHED IN HIGH SCHOOL????

EvoShield

2012-11-25T01:33:00.001-08:00

EvoShield is a great product. It comes in a variety of uses and applications. Watch any MLB game and you will see them being used. My thought is this; if a big leaguer is using it, then it is probably a high quality product and I should do some research. This is exactly one of those products. They have leg guards, wrist guards, elbow guards, protective undershirts, and more. Great stuff, and definitely worth a look.

I am thankful for....

Classic....Happy holidays

Mike Trout.....wow

2012-11-20T08:19:00.001-08:00

Few things in life have been more certain than Mike Trout winning the AL Rookie of the Year, death and taxes (to steal an old joke). This was about as obvious as having to piss after drinking water.

TRIPLE CROWN+MVP

2012-11-16T08:40:00.000-08:00

Miguel Cabrera had an amazing year, Triple Crown, MVP, AL Pennant. No disrespect to Trout but Cabrera was a monster for the Tigers.

AL MVP

2012-11-15T10:54:00.003-08:00

As we await the results this evening, it is obvious that either Trout or Cabrera will be the MVP, I feel that if you win the Triple Crown and your team wins the division, pennant and goes to the World Series it is quite clear. However, Trout did have one hell of a year....only time will tell.

Fungo bats

2012-06-04T15:18:00.001-07:00

For a coach, a fungo is a must have. Hitting balls during practice, and pre game is something that helps your players reach their peak. I am using the SSK fungo, and love it and would highly recommend it to any coach out there.

Foul Lines/Batter Box

2012-05-24T22:44:00.000-07:00

If you are a coach, dad, volunteer, umpire, mom, or just a fan you know that a well laid foul line is a thing of beauty. They are perfectly straight and gorgeous. A Batters box is the same way, perfectly square 4 ft. by 6 ft. GORGEOUS!!! As a high school coach I have seen some horrible lines that a hand chalked. Looks like the coach or whoever did it had a few cocktails prior to the game. I take pride in this, using a string line and carefully walking the lines. Lets take a look at some good lines:

MLB Grounds crew have a tool that drops the chalk in the perfect line, looking to invest in one for my program.

Domingo Ayala

2012-05-16T12:09:00.004-07:00

This guy is great, I know Batting Stance Guy is also hugely popular, but Domingo brings a new brand of humor to his videos. His accent, "Mustache", 1 liners, all of it is perfect. Take a look for yourself.

Little League Cleats

2012-05-16T10:33:00.002-07:00

Little Leaguer's cannot wear metal spikes, for safety reasons. The Nike's shown below are a great start. I wore a similar pair when I was playing T Ball. Very durable, comfortable and look great.

Mariano Rivera + Journey= AWESOME!!

Mothers day

2012-05-14T23:02:00.000-07:00

The MLB does a great thing on Mother's Day. They honor them and raise awareness about breast cancer by having some pink accents enter into a world that has been unchanged.

Final out for Professional Baseball in Portland, OR 2010

2012-05-08T22:47:00.002-07:00

I was at the final Portland Beavers game at PGE Park, which is now Jeld-Wen Field. Great memories there, from playing as a high schooler, Thirsty Thursdays, watching Rick Ankiel hit a home run.

Pujols....no more monkey on his back

2012-05-08T22:45:00.001-07:00

It took long enough, but Albert has finally hit a Homerun for the Angels. He will end the year with 35-40 as usual.

Say it aint 'Mo

2012-05-04T09:15:00.000-07:00

Last night we witnessed the man who was the best to ever play his position lay helpless on the warning track i Kansas City. He has shagged thousands of BP fly balls but that last one will be etched in our memories for ever. Rivera was the best there was, is, and will ever be.
