I knew about it early this month.
I have many AMOUAGES...4 plus an Attar Homage ( 13ml ).
The fame of AMOUAGE ATTARS and their price is well known. They worth every single penny.
But
What is XERKOFF all about ? Who is their perfumista. AFAIC they are a jewelry, are not they ???
Perfumes are not their main trend of business I suppose.

I am getting in on the Bond refill event, and I enjoy all of the listed fragrances, however the accountant says I should really only enjoy one at the moment. I will purchase one of the above (Bond is giving me credit for the Harrod's Oud I purchased last week), and I will get a 100 mL bottle of Andy Warhol Union Square at no charge for my wife and daughter to share.

Which one should I purchase? I will count an answer of "none" as Silver Factory.:smiley:

9. Axe Dark Temptation (I know:rolleyesold: I actually tried it on today for the first time since I got Issey and I was surprised again by how good it is)

Any recommendations for things I should add to/subtract from my list? Also, is there anywhere to get samples of non-niche fragrances like CH men besides Ebay? The perfumed court and luckyscent have pretty much got niches covered, but I'm having trouble finding samples of the more common ones.

There is a note in the heart of each of these that I despised when first trying the Dior and Amouage, but now I am starting to warm up to it in Ubar, perhaps because it is growing on me... But I don't know what it is called! I cannot recognise it. It's not a scent that the masses would say "yum" to, and it's got a dull spicy sharpness. I see a dirty yellow or light brown when I sniff it.

Does anyone know if there is a certain type of artificial lighting that will not damage perfume?

Have a small sample of Keiko Mecheri's Attar de Roses, which is simply gorgeous. But the scent notes and other reviews say there is a leathery note here, where I detect only apricot. Does anyone else know this scent? What do you think? (Actually, now that I think of it, new leather and apricot do have some notes in common). I'd like to know, as I always thought I wouldn't like leather and have avoided testing perfumes with this note. But I absolutely love this one.

Has anyone come across any fake bottles of bond no 9? The reason i ask is i have seen wall street for half price on Amazon. The seller has got good feedback and I'm really considering purchasing this but obviously do not want to purchase a fake.

You must have had the same thing..that you think a certain scent matches perfectly with a character from a book/film etc? For example I always thought of Patrick Bateman as an Antaeus/Azarro PH kind of guy. So post your combinations here!

Btw; what do you guys think a man like Gordon Gekko would wear? :P

What's your favorite fragrance designed by Olivier Polge?

Ok so I know there was just a recent thread on Serge's MKK but Im considering a swap for it and Ive never smelled it before. Can anyone compare it anything else out there? I love Kouros, Aoud Cuir d'Arabie, Dior's Leather Oud, Yatagan, M7, Eau d'Hermes, pretty much anything sensitive people turn their noses up at. Some of these reviews I have read are scaring me, but so did the reviews of the above mentioned frags that I love so much. How fecal is it really? I have a sample of Untitled No. 8 by Brent Leonesio and that is WAY to fecal/urinous for me, very scary stuff! Please give your honest opinion and dont just jump on the band wagon of talking about how much something smells like poo.

I remember in the 70s 80s buying frags, Lauder, Givenchy, etc that seemed to last all day, after a few sprays in the morning, these days I get a few hours of smelling good before the frag fades to nothing, The only 3 that seem to last 6-8 hrs are Dior Homme Intense/Opium edp, and guerlain l'instant - eau de parfume, the latter being my current favorite, I also bought the old formula M7, this lasts 4-5 hrs, not good.

I also have the full repackaged range of Lauder products Devin, 900, Jhl, etc and these do not seem to last as long as they used to when I first bought them in the mid 70s, is this my imagination or are frags these days less strong?

Can anyone suggest a frag that lasts all day that smells good?, at the prices they charge for some of these frags the least they could do is make em last a min of 8hrs

I'm very close to purchasing a FB of Lumière Noire.

My concern is its staying power. It seems to fade on me within a couple of hours.

Not sure if I'm just experiencing anosmia, or if I just haven't sprayed enough on - as I've been trying to make the samples last.

I have been researching this fragrance on and off for about 5 months now and I have a few questions that I would like all of you good people to answer, if you can.
1-Some people have described the Cocoa as powdery, do you agree? If so, how powdery would you say it is? I don't have a lot of tolerance for powder, but if it is a cocoa powder type of powder, I'm ok with that.
2-I don't have a lot of experience with frags with cocoa notes, the ones I do have experience with are Bond no 9 So New York, and Bond no 9 New York For All...does L'Instant extreme have any similarities to these?
3-I'm more interested in the EDP because it seems to be more what I am looking for being that it has been described as having a stronger cocoa note and it is a little more muted, in your experiences with both, for those of you that are more the EDP fans, for you, what made you choose the EDP?
