At BDI, the “commercial” dumpster garbage collection and trash service needs of our business clients is served by our fleet of frontload containers.

We have frontload containers available in every size to meet the specific needs of your business.

Rates for commercial garbage containers (frontload containers) are for weekly pickup, but can be ordered with multiple pickups per week.

It is important you choose the size most appropriate for your business in order to make dumping easier and more efficient
for our drivers.

Please do not order a frontload container smaller than your needs and fill it to overflowing each week, as this adds to our busy driver’s effort.

Please understand when choosing your frontload container, placement is also important. Our trucks must be able to pull directly into the dumpster and back out in addition to having overhead clearance.

Residential Services and Disposal Opportunities

Basin Disposal of Yakima, LLC provides convenient wheeled carts for curbside garbage pick-up to residents of Selah, Wapato, Union Gap, and Moxee. Extra bundles, bags or boxes should be placed 3’ from your container for pickup (a slight charge will apply for any extra garbage placed out for collection). We take pride in our fleet of trucks…they are modern, well maintained and clean.

We also provide for bi-week recycling in Union Gap, Selah and Moxee. Each household receives 2 bins in which to place their recyclables (place 3’ from the garbage cart).

For disposal of appliances, furniture, yard debris, or other large solid waste…residents can use either the Terrace Heights or Cheyne Landfills.

Drop boxes available to anyone for cleanup

If you need to clean a yard, garage, warehouse or construction site…Basin Disposal of Yakima, LLC offers 20 to 40 yard drop boxes that allow for disposal of big, bulky, dense material (concrete, dirt, sod, roofing etc.) or just large quantities of waste. Call your City Hall for specific sizes available in your area. If you live in the unincorporated areas of Yakima County, please call us at (509) 837-2488. We would be happy to offer you solutions on your drop box needs.

Ed’s Disposal provides fully automated garbage collection services. Convenient wheeled carts are provided for curbside garbage pick-up to all residents. If you have extra bundles, bags or boxes, these should be placed 3’ from your cart. This allows for our automated equipment to properly service your cart. We take pride in our fleet of trucks…they are modern, well maintained and clean.

Residents can also bring solid waste (trash), appliances, furniture, or yard debris to the BDI Transfer facility located at 1721 Dietrich Road in Pasco.

(HHW) Home-generated hazardous waste (paint, oil, batteries etc.) can be delivered to Benton County Moderate Risk Waste Facility at the Richland Landfill (proof of Benton County residence required). The facility is 3.5 miles west of Richland off Highway 240 on 3102 Twin Bridges Road. Hours are Monday thru Friday 8 – 4 and Saturday / Sunday 9 – 5. (509) 942-7387 for information. THIS FACILITY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO FIRE. BENTON COUNTY WILL HOLD DISPOSAL EVENTS DURING THE YEAR FOR RESIDENTS. Please call (509)736-3084 for more information.

We provide many convenient Neighborhood Recycling Centers throughout the communities we service. At these Neighborhood Recycling Centers, you can drop-off of aluminum and tin cans, brown and clear glass, mixed paper, newspaper & cardboard. Additionally, we purchase recyclable items at Basin Recycling, located at 1721 Dietrich Road.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) poses a significant threat to our environment. Bring your HHW to our HHW facility in Pasco where we can properly dispose of it. Each vehicle is limited to 5 gallons of liquid hazardous waste per visit.

We accept:

• Tires
• Car batteries and antifreeze
• Appliances
• Freon appliances such as refrigerators. freezers, or room air conditioners
• Non-Freon-using appliances such as stoves
• Chemicals, cleaners, aerosols
• Oil-based paints and solvents (for small amounts of latex paint, let the liquid evaporate.
  Discard the can and remaining solid waste residues with your everyday household refuse.)
• Pesticides and herbicides cleaners

We will not accept:

• Explosives
• Asbestos
• Industrial Waste
• Agricultural Waste
• Radioactive Materials
• Ammunition

Where to bring your HHW:

Franklin County Residents:
Bring HHW’s to the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility just off the Kahlotus highway. [map] Before you arrive, be sure you call (509) 547-6666 for an appointment. All Franklin County residents can dispose household hazardous waste at the HHW for free. (No commercial establishments or commercially generated waste.)

Residential Waste Collection is provided by Basin Disposal, Inc., Basin Disposal of Yakima, LLC., and Ed’s Disposal Inc. Residential waste collection is available to all single-family residences and multi-family units (1-4 units) in our service area. Collection service is provided weekly.

Provided Containers

Wheeled (64 and 96 gallon) garbage carts are provided to our customers…extra carts are available by calling (509) 547-2476.

Personal Containers

If you have additional garbage that will not fit into your automated cart, you may also put out a personal garbage container.

Personal garbage containers must be no more than 32 gallons in size, have two handles and weigh no more than 65 pounds (including the weight of the can). All sizes and weights over this will be charged extra.

You may also place additional garbage that has been bagged, boxed or bundled. Please refer to the chart below for additional requirements

If you are within city limits, there is no charge; county residents may be charged a small fee. Please call (509) 547-2476 to learn about the specific charges related to your service area.

Additional Bagged, Boxed or Bundled Waste

Additional waste will be picked up provided it meets the following requirements:

	Waste must be properly “bagged, boxed or bundled” so that a worker can lift them.
	The weight must not exceed 65 lbs. per bag, box or bundle.
	Place items 3 feet from your container so our workers can collect them.
	The dimensions cannot exceed 2 feet by 2 feet by 3 feet.
