A Referee Block Kris Humphries’s Free-Throw Attempt

During Last night's game of the NBA the nets and Raptors game. About Midway to the fourth quarter Kris Humphries steps to the line to shoot two free throws. While Kris Humphries was about to shoot his second free throw the referee Courtney Kirkland comes out of nowhere and blocks Kris Humphries second free throw. He shouldn't have just blown his whistle next time. The block was not a clean block because Courtney got Kris all over his arms.

This made me laugh so much. This has to be one of the funniest thing that I have seen that a ref has done in the nba game.

Improving in Basketball

There are a lot of people out there that work on their game during the summer. Some people improve their game, some people stay the same and some people don’t. The thing that bothers me the most is to see people not even trying to work on their game. Some guys would go on the court with flips flops on and start shooting. They would shoot without jumping and they would stay at the same spot and just shoot. That is not working in your game, that is having fun. If you want to be great you have to do more than just shoot at the same spot the whole day.

Many guys that play basketball don’t like to run. Also, they think that is not that important and you don’t need to run to be better at basketball. This is not true, running is important in basketball. In every game you run back and forth, and if you can’t catch up that’s not good. You need to be in shape when you are playing basketball. The thing that I do to get in shape is at least run 10k at least 3 times a week. If running 10k is too much for you then you can run 5k, 3k or 1k. Just do what’s best for you. A lot of people say this doesn’t help you improve your game at all, but trust me it does. I can tell, because after my first 2 months of running I noticed that I have more endurance then I used to have. I also noticed that my speed improved. Running is a great way to keep your endurance up and improve speed.

Another thing that people don’t work on is their layups. I know that layups can be boring to work on, because why would work on them when you can make every single one? Layups are just so valuable. Almost all basketball players don’t miss layups, but they start missing when someone is guarding them. People that practice layups a lot of times are the people that know how to use the back board well. You should at least do 50-100 layups on each side everyday if you want to be good. 50-100 layups can improve your footwork and vertical.

One of the last things you can do is ball handling. This is really important to guards. Many guards out there still dribble while looking down, because they don’t work on the handles. Some people don’t work on their game just because they don’t have a basketball court. The great thing about working on ball handling is you can do it anywhere. You don’t need a court to work on it. You can work at your ball handling at a sidewalk, basement in your room or anywhere. There are many great ball handling drills out there. You can look it up on YouTube and you can find many great videos on improving your ball handling. Here are some of the drills that you can do anywhere:

In basketball you need to work on your endurance, your ball handling skills and working on your layups. You need to be running at least 3 times a week and doing at least 50-100 layups on each side to improve your game. Also, you need to work on your ball handling skills. After you work on all this you can start working on your jump shots. LeBron James has been in the NBA for 9 years. Kobe has been in the NBA for 16 years. Kobe won 5 championships, But LeBron won 1. LeBron was named MVP in the 2012 season, but Kobe wasn’t. There are a lot of people out there that says Kobe is better than LeBron. Kobe is not better than LeBron. LeBron is better than Kobe and he is the best player in the league.

LeBron has improved his game a lot over the past few years and so did Kobe. This year LeBron is a better score. Back when he was in Cleveland, he couldn’t shoot the ball very well. The only shot that he would take was taking in to the basket. Now, LeBron is playing as a Heat. He is a better shooter than he used to be. You can tell that LeBron worked really hard on his game. He can also finish at the rim way better. Kobe is pretty much the same. He can still shoot the ball well and he can finish with contact. Kobe has become a better passer. He is going to become a way better passer with Dwight Howard and Steve Nash on his team.

Shooting is not the only thing that makes LeBron a great player. It’s also rebounding and pushing the ball. LeBron knows when to push the ball and when not to. He is not only a great forward but also a great point guard. He can find open teammates better than anyone in the NBA. Now he has Dwayne Wade on his team and he can throw crazy passes like this one:

Passing and shooting are one of the things that made a him a better player. Also, he has become a better leader. He knows how to lead a team. Kobe is a great leader too, but LeBron is become a better leader. He can do anything for his teammates. Now LeBron James knows how to have fun, he knows what he needs to do for his team.

LeBron is the best player in the NBA right now. Kobe is the second best. LeBron is going to win as many championship as Kobe. It’s not going to be easy though because Kobe Now has Gasol, Howard and Nash on the Lakers. But Hopefully LeBron will win a championship this upcoming season.

10. Funny TNT Commercial- Shaq

This is one of the funniest commercial I have seen. Shaq is in it and some little kids. In the commercial Shaq acts like the teacher and ask the kids a bunch of questions. You are going to have to watch the video by itself to see why it’s funny.

9. Jordan Break to Build Commercial

This commercial is just great. It shows what teams do to get better. It shows the hard work, the fights and rituals of what a team does. When you watch this commercial it makes you feel like you’re there. It’s a great commercial for any sports not just basketball. And it can be a great motivational commercial.

8. Uncle Drew Pepsi Commercial

This is one of the funniest commercial I have ever seen. In the commercial there is Uncle Drew who is this old man. Uncle Drew goes to teach young ballers how to play basketball the right way. First, All his shots were off. But that didn’t stop him from shooting. After missing a few shots, he started making all his shots. In this commercial Uncle Drew is actually Kyle Irving. Kyle Irving plays uncle drew very well. Also, Kyle Irving sounds exactly like an old man in this commercial.

7. LeBron James- The Beginning Commercial

A lot of kids out there want to be exactly like LeBron James. This commercial is great because it send a message to the kids that they shouldn’t be like LeBron. It shows LeBron from the start to the finish. It shows a story of what LeBron had to go through to be in the NBA.

6. 2011 NBA Finals Intro

This commercial is just really stupendous. It shows what the NBA is all about. This commercial is really great because it has great graphics. It shows Kobe and other players playing in the street. Also, it shows old players playing. It gives me chills every time I watch it.

5. Nike Ordinary People

This commercial is really great, because it shows the beauty of basketball. It shows what you need to do in order to be great. When I watch this commercial it makes me want to go outside and play basketball. It has great words and music to it. It shows you don’t need to be a star to love the game.

4. it’s Not About The Shoes Commercial

This commercial is very good, because it has great words and music to it. In this commercial they show some old clips of ray Allen, Chris Paul and Michael Jordan. It shows that it’s not about the shoes. It’s one favorite commercial because it gives me chills every time I watch it.

3. Michael Jordan Let Your Game Speak

The music is great in this commercial. It has Michael Jordan’s popular moves used by other people. This commercial is very accurate, because the moves that people did in this video is the same as Michael.

This is my number one because it is just so awesome. It gives me chills every time I watch it. In this commercial we see old player mixed with new players. It also shows old players passing the ball to new players or high fiving. The music in this commercial really goes good with the video.

Can These Shoes Really Make You Jump Higher?

Are there such shoes that can increase your vertical? There are shoes that are called the APL shoes. These shoes are supposed to increase your vertical by 3-4 inches. Can these shoes really do that? Well I believed that they could but after doing a little bit of research I changed my mind. Thanks to http://verticaljumping.com. Vertical Jumping put these shoes to the test and they found out that these shoes don’t really increase vertical. According them these shoes are heavy and they make you run slower. Here are the two video tests they did:

These APL shoes are made by a company called Athletic Propulsion Labs. The way they said these shoes work is they have spring-like "Load n' Launch" gizmo in the forefoot and that is what is supposed to make you increase your jumping ability. These shoes are banned in the NBA. I don’t know why the NBA would ban them because they don’t really increase vertical, they make it worse.

If I were you I would not get myself a pair. But if you would like a pair then you can get one at http://www.athleticpropulsionlabs.com/. These shoes you used to cost $300. Now you can get yourself a pair for only $175 dollars. They decrease the price because now people know these shoes actually don’t work. They are a fraud and you should not buy them. Michael was right, its not about the shoes my friend.

Was Ray Allen's Decision A Good One?

Ray Allen is the best 3 point shooter in the world. He is also the oldest and well respected player in the NBA. You hardly see Ray Allen Show off during a game or you hardly see Ray Fight. Ray Allen also has a great personality. Today’s question is Should Ray stay as a Celtic or was it right to go to the Heat?

Ray Allen has the record for most threes in the NBA. He has made 2648 threes in his career. He also has the quickest release in the NBA. He is the only player in the NBA that can move well without the basketball. Guarding Ray Allen is one of the toughest things to do in the NBA. If you have to guard him you might want to bring at least 10 bottles of water and 10 bottles of Gatorade. This is because guarding Ray is like running more than 20km. In Every play in basketball, you always see Ray moving without the basketball. He is not like some other players that just stand still and wait for the ball. If you give Ray Allen some space he will just shoot a 3 and make it. You can’t leave him open, because shooting to Ray Allen is just like breathing.

During the 2011-2012 season Ray Allen had an ankle injury. It was very difficult for him to play during games with his injury. When he had that injury, I noticed that he wasn’t as fast as he used to be and he couldn’t shoot that well. The reason why he couldn’t shoot well was because that ankle injury was keeping him away from playing basketball. It was keeping him away from his shooting practices. The other reason was the ankle was bothering him. Ray couldn’t jump the way he wanted to. When he jumps he can feel the pain on his ankle. The reasons why the Celtics didn’t win a championship during this season was because of Ray Allen. Ray was the secret weapon to the Celtics. He could shoot a 3 anywhere and anytime.

Now we see Ray Allen going to the Heat. Did he do the right thing? In my opinion yes he did. Ray Allen is getting very old and has some ankle problem. Ray has a better chance of winning a championship in the Heat. The Heat has some great players right now. They have players that can pass, block, steal, finish at the rim, score, rebound and now they have a player that can shoot threes. Hopefully Ray Allen’s ankle can get better and he can start to enjoy winning another championship.

Can Lebron James Win Another One?

LeBron James has improved his game over the past few years. He had some tough times and some good times. One of the toughest situations he had was when he had a choice to either stay a Cavalier or go to south beach. He made up his mind to go to the heat and I respect that choice. He already won one championship with Wade and Bosh. But the question is can he win another one?

First, let me start talking about the Lakers. Good things have been happening lately to the Lakers. The Lakers have won many championships thanks to Kobe and Magic. Now the Lakers got Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. This could be a good thing or it could be a bad thing. Do you guys remember what happen when the heat got LeBron and Bosh? They weren’t playing as a team, and that is why the Mavs destroy them that year. And then the next year, the Heat was just incredible. They were playing like how a team should play. There was no way you could stop the Heat. Almost all the time they get the rebound they would fast break. That’s how they got most of their points. Also, they get most of their points by a layup or a dunk. Now, the Lakers have Dwight Howard in the paint. Let me remind you guys that Dwight Howard is one of the greatest shot blockers in the NBA. Do you think LeBron and Wade can get into the paint now? I don’t think so. The only problem is that the Lakers are going to have a tough time playing

Second, What about the Bulls and the Oklahoma City Thunder? Doesn’t Derrick Rose want a championship as bad as LeBron, Kobe and Kevin Durant? In my opinion right now Derrick Rose is the person that wants the championship the most. But it’s going to be difficult for him because the Lakers are a much better team now and so is the Heat. It’s the same story with Oklahoma, I don’t think they could win a championship this year. OKC is just too young and it’s going to be hard for them to beat veterans that want the championship way more than them.

So can LeBron James win another one? Yes he can but not during the 2012-2013 NBA season. In my opinion Kobe and the Lakers are going to win the championship. Right now Kobe wants that 6 championship so he can match Michael Jordan. Kobe is going to win that championship. The Lakers are going to be a much better team since they got Steve and Dwight. Steve brings passing to the team and Dwight brings defense, rebounding and points to the team. Overall, the Lakers are going to win the 2012-2013 NBA Championship.

The Greatest Player in NBA History

Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history. He is unstoppable in the paint and he is unstoppable anywhere in the court. He can shoot, he can finish and he can play defense than any other player in the NBA. Michael Jordan was a hard worker, a great leader and he was always fearless. All this made him the best player in the NBA.

Michael Jordan could fly. Almost all the time when he was going for a layup or a dunk, it looked like he could fly. He had great hang time. He could be up in the air thinking what he he should do next. He could be thinking should I switch it to my right hand or keep it on my left. Even Magic himself said that guarding Michael is very difficult, because you never know what he is going to do next. You can also tell Michael can fly, because he is the only person in the NBA that jumped from the free throw line. Here is the video of Michael Jordan jumping from the free throw line:

But it’s not only that he could fly that made him a great player. It’s also his hard work. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school team. After he was cut, he went to his room and cried. But, he didn’t quit. He worked harder than anyone else during the summer. And the next following year he made his high school team. Most people quit after they get cut once out of their high school team, but Michael Jordan didn’t.

In one of Michael Jordan’s game in the NBA, he had the flu. The flu didn’t stop Michael from playing. He wanted to go out there and helped his team. This also shows how much Michael Jordan loved Chicago. Most players now days won’t play a game because of a flu.

The last thing that made Michael a great player was his shooting ability and his defense. He can shoot anywhere he wants. He can shoot the 3, fade away and the jump shot. Michael is fearless. He wants to take the game winning shot. This is another reason why he is the best, because nobody has made more buzzer beaters than him. Michael’s defense is great too. He could steal, block and he can stay in front of his man. When he is playing defense, you can tell by looking at his eyes that he wants the ball really bad.

Michael is still the greatest till today. No one is even close to being as great as him. Some people say Kobe or Lebron are almost the same as Michael Jordan. This is not true, because he is the best and Lebron or Kobe are not even close to being as a great as Michael Jordan.

My Top 10 Favorite NBA Players

Hello Everyone, Today I am going to talk about my top 10 favorite basketball players that are going to be playing this upcoming season.

10. Paul Gasol- Los Angeles Lakers

Paul is one of my favorite centers in the NBA. He plays the center like a guard. He can pass the ball and he can shoot. In my opinion if the Lakers didn’t have Paul, then they would lose half of their games. This is because most of the Lakers points come from Paul and Kobe. The last reason why Paul Gasol is a great player to me is he has a great personality for a center. He plays the game of basketball very well.

9. Carmelo Anthony- New York Knicks

Carmelo Anthony is a great shooting guard. He can shoot beyond the 3 with a hand on his face and he can shoot from anywhere he wants to. He is a great 1 on 1 player in basketball. The only problem with Carmelo is he doesn’t pass the ball that much. Sometimes there are open teammates and he doesn’t pass them the ball. He rather shoot on someone’s face than pass the ball. If he was a passer then he would be one of my top 5 favorite basketball players. In my opinion the Knicks were doing great during their season when they had Jeremy Lin, But when they had Carmelo they started doing bad. Carmelo is a great player but he needs to share the ball more.

8. Chris Paul- Los Angeles Clippers

I don’t watch Chris Paul that much, but I know he is a great point guard. I’ve seen some of his highlights and I notice his vision is crazy. When he plays basketball, he doesn’t only have eyes on his front of his head but he has eyes all around his head. He is a great passer in my opinion. The only problem with him is he needs to be traded. He needs to go to a better team so he can get notice more. If he is in a better team, then I’m sure he will start playing better. The last reason why I like Chris Paul so much is because he has a great personality. There was a time when he was in high school and his grandpa died at the age of 61. He decided to score 61 points in a high school basketball game and he made it happen. That shows how an amazing person Chris is really is.

7. Paul Pierce- Boston Celtics

Paul Pierce is a great player. He plays basketball like the way it’s supposed to be played. Paul is a great leader and a great shooter. He can shoot the basketball anywhere he wants to. He is also a great passer. Paul is one of my favorite basketball players because I know he is the truth. The Celtics wouldn’t be anything without Paul. Paul Pierce is the one that takes most of the Boston Celtics Shot.

6. Steve Nash- Los Angeles Lakers

Steve is a great point guard. He also has a great court vision. He is a great passer and he is a good shooter and that’s what makes him so great. Also he knows how to play smart basketball. He has a high basketball IQ. It’s a good thing he got traded to the Lakers because the Lakers need a great point guard. Also, it would be great for Steve because he can pass to many open teammates like Kobe. Steve would get way more assists as a Laker.

5. Dwight Howard- Los Angeles Lakers

Dwight is one of the best centers in the NBA. He can finish at the rim anyway he wants to. He is unstoppable when he is near the basket. Dwight is really good at rebounding and blocking. There is no way you can get an easy layup at the rim when Dwight is around. The other reason why Dwight is one of my favorite centers is because of his great personality. He enjoys joking around and he is always smiling. He is not like everyone else in the NBA who are always so serious and boring. Dwight is a great big and he would be an amazing big when he starts playing for the Lakers.

4. Jeremy Lin- Houston Rockets

Jeremy lin is one of my favorite players because he is good at basketball and smart at the same time. He can finish at the rim anyway he wants to. He can do floaters very well and he is a great passer. When he went to the Knicks no one expected him to be that good. He was unstoppable. No one could catch up with him, because he was too quick. He came from Harvard and went to the NBA. That is extremely hard to do, because you have to be good at studying and basketball at the same time. I can’t even balance my high school work and basketball. It must have been really hard for Jeremy to balance studies and basketball. Hopefully, he would continue to be great in the Houston Rockets. Hopefully He could win a championship someday.

3. Ray Allen- Miami Heat

Ray Allen is one of the best shooters I ever seen in the game of basketball. He has one of the quickest release ever. Every time when he catches the ball, you see him already releasing the ball. He can shoot the 3 anytime he wants to. To Ray Allen shooting Threes is like making a layup to him. Ray also has one of the best personality in a player. He is a really nice person and he doesn’t talk much. He has the record for the most threes in NBA history. The only thing I don’t like about Ray Allen is how he switched from the Celtics to the Miami Heat. But I guess that’s a great choice for him because he wants more championship. The only way you can win a championship now days is to join the Heat.

2. Kobe Bryant- Los Angeles Lakers

Kobe is one of my favorite basketball players, because he a lot of people like him. Kobe is a great shooting guard. He can shoot from anywhere he wants to. He is the only player that I know that has no weakness. He has a really high basketball IQ. People say Kobe is a ball hog. But that is not true now, he is becoming a better passer. I notice now days he is more mature and he pass the ball more. It’s going to be very hard to stop the Lakers this season because they have 4 great players. They have Kobe, Dwight, Steve and Paul Gasol.

1. Lebron James- Miami Heat

Lebron James is one of the hatred player in the NBA. People hate him so much because he is so good. This guy is the king of basketball, no questions about it. He has improved his game so much over the past few years. He has become a better shooter, a better passer and a better finisher. He is also amazing at blocking. This guy is a complete basketball player. There is nothing he can’t do now. People said that he wasn’t going to win a championship, but he got one finally. And for sure he is going to get another one. In my opinion Michael Jordan and Lebron James are the same players. They are both really great. But if I had to choose between the two of them, I would choose Lebron James.
