I have a 1996 nitro bass boat with a 150 hp outboard mercury motor. When I push the throttle into gear, the boat will go, but it won’t choose up any speed at all. Even when I push the throttle all the way down. I think it is only going ten-15 mph and it used to go over 50. What is incorrect? Please help.

check and make confident you never have any slack in your throtle cable.

I just purchased a 1994 Stratos Bass Boat with a Mercury 150 Black Max Outboard. The motor sounded excellent and powerful when I bought it. I had it less than 24 hrs and it quit working on the lake. It worked excellent all morning lengthy, and then when coming back to the boat dock it began generating a weird noise. I slowed down, stopped, allow it idle and it would not quit. So I turned the engine off, waited a minute or so, and tried to crank it back up. It will not even turn above at all now. I place a wrench to the flywheel and it won’t turn. I called the man and asked for my cash back but he refuses to give it to me. Ain’t practically nothing I can do about that due to the fact the Bill of Sale says “no garauntee”. I messed up and I’m screwed, I know, so no adverse commments, please. I just want some insight into what y’all may well feel is wrong! Thanks!

Drop the lower unit and see if the flywheel will turn. if so, the gearbox is jammed up, possibly broke a tooth or a thing.

if the flywheel is nevertheless jammed, you will have to pull the cylinder head for inspection.

Query by Tawny H: How can I separate the deck from the hull on my bass boat?
I had purchased a 30 yr. old Skeeter fixer upper. Some of the floor is rotted out. So I took out the rivets on the side considering I could elevate the deck off. It would seem like one thing is even now holding on. Any suggestions?

Question by : What truck is better Dodge Ram 1500, GM 1500 or the F150?
I am 17 years old and i want to get a truck. In all 3 firms i like the 1990s physique types far better. What i am asking is, which of these trucks have the very best sturdiness On/off street, easiest to work on in your home garage, semi-low-cost to repair and upgrade (add dual exhaust and other things), most torque. Rather significantly best bang for your buck. I know Fords are less costly to acquire than Chevy/GMC trucks. Dodge transmissions go out faster.

1976 Dodge D100. 318 V8. four speed manual transmission. 2 wheel drive. Floor was replaced by stop signs due to the floor rusted out.

1999 Ford F150. five.4L Triton V8. Automatic. Has the rapid change 4×4 knob on dash. Ext. cab 8′ box. Has 200k miles. Finest it got was almost 19mpg towing a Fiberglass bass boat. Had to substitute three fuel pumps. Head gasket has a leak. Pain to function on.

What i am attempting to do is get a Truck from one of the “Large Three” American businesses. Which of them is the greater truck. Hunting for a 4×4 6′ box (or 6.5′) Ext. Cab. V8. Automatic transmission. Floor Shift 4×4. Which company has the much better truck with these possibilities?

very first of all, thanks for supporting the ‘big three’!!!!

i am a mopar lady, so of course my vote is for the dodge. i have driven dodges all my existence, and i have never ever had a problem with any of them. currently my dads day-to-day driver is an 85 dodge ram w350 and its a wonderful truck. so i say go with the dodge, you also have a much greater range of engine alternatives in the hemi and the cummins. this could also be my own personalized opionion but dodge trucks are totally alluring!! very good luck with deciding on your truck!
