Microsoft Surface maps the GUI Universe

In my related blog post about Remapping the Universe with fantastic new technologies, I was fascinated about that presentation.
Well, now Microsoft has got in to the game with Microsoft Surface.

This is equally fascinating in my opinion. I certainly hope that we will see this technology became available soon.

Actually you can re-map the universe with these instructions

Maybe you have read and seen this fascinating video and thought, "Hmm... I want to do this myself".

Well, now you can.

Alessandro masserdotti from Tinker.it has posted his instructions on how to build the "Multitouch table".
Using Plexiglas, LED's and what not, they recreated this technique.

So, follow his instructions and try it for yourself!

The much anticipated high tech Optimus keyboard, which was suppose to offer a keyboard will full support for programmable color keys, has some interesting possibilities for the enthusiast. At least its little brother, the Mini Three, which actually is shipping in version 2.0, can be programmed in some interesting ways. Scott Hanselman has created a way to show videos on the Optimus Mini Three.

He as also posted a SoapBox video of his results.

Now that Microsoft has released Windows Vista, they also released some updates for Vista. (Yes I have, as many other, been running Vista RTM for about 2 months now). Today, I hade these updates in the Windows Update applet:

Also worth noting is that a plethora of language packs has also been released:
