Is it a UFO or just an regular aircraft?

A UFO was reportedly seen over a historic barn by residents of Santee, California last May 7, 2013.

Ellen Henry, member of the San Diego County‘s Santee Historical Society (SHS), was able to take a photo of an object in the sky that is believed to be a UFO. She was taking pictures over the Edgemoor Barn when she unknowingly chanced upon the mysterious object. Henry told ABC TV that she “noticed a ‘speck’ on my LCD screen after I took the shot to check for clarity, and only realized it wasn’t a speck when I downloaded it on my computer.” She said that the object “was clear and certainly not a bug.”

Henry explained that she “was at the Edgemoor property, in the middle of the day, to take pics of the barn to update the SHS barn logo. I was constantly looking up and around the area, including the sky’s background, so I can get it just right, and not at anytime did I see anything in the sky or heard a sound of an aircraft.”

While other people say that the image may be an aircraft, Henry countered that, “There is no way this was a commercial aircraft. I would have heard it, especially as low as it seemed to be. Someone did mention perhaps it was a drone. However, I have not seen any drones that were round or oval, and lacking wings, rudders or propellers — even the drone that looks like a fly has wings.”

The Interstate-5 (I-5) bridge collapsed into the Skagit River at Mount Vernon on Thursday, May 23, 2013.

An oversized truck reportedly caused the I-5 bridge to fall. Washington State Authorities said that the truck hit the overhead span of the bridge.

The truck was able to go through the bridge, however, several cars plummeted into the waters. Divers and rescue workers used boats to get people out of frigid waters. Three people were saved and rescuers continue to look for any additional victims.

Investigators say that the truck driver is cooperating with them.

No definite time table has been set by officials regarding the repair of the bridge.

Traffic aids are now guiding motorists to take detours and alternative routes.

As introduced by Ellen on her show, the title of the 4-minute soap is “The Tales Of Our Yesterday’s Tomorrow,” and the first scene featured Ellen, who plays as Dolly and wears tacky golden dress, along with a short brown wig role of Dolly. A male character with a fake mustache named Paco sits beside her in a sofa, and the two acted like they are into a forbidden relationship.

Shortly after the man left, a female character named Polly (Polyester Wellington) appeared. She was Ellen‘s sister on the soap and was played by Portia de Rossi, Ellen‘s real life wife. Polly showed Dolly a fake mustache and told her that the maid found it in her bedroom. The usual dramatic scenes of soap opera followed, except that they were funny and the crowd loves it.

Dolly immediately called her housekeeper named Janet, played by Jennifer Aniston, who was dressed as French maid and even spoke French dialogue. Dolly appeared to be confronting Janet, and once again, there was slapping on the face and supposed dramatic scene that turned out comical.

Later, someone knocked on the door and it was John Aniston, who is also known for playing the on and off role of Victor Kiriakis, which he portrayed on NBC‘s daily drama TV series “Days Of Our Life” starting 1985. The audience applauded for his rare appearance. Mr. Aniston, now 79, revealed to Polly and Dolly that he is not their biological father, and that his real daughter is the French maid, Janet.

Jennifer Aniston and her dad embraced and brought more delight to the crowd. To ease the “pain” of the two sisters, Mr. Aniston said told them that he was able to find their biological mother, who later appeared and hugged them. The entire cast bowed in front of the audience and they received a loud applause.

Earlier, a “Friends” reunion happened via a short video clip exclusively made for Ellen‘s show. On that scene, Jennifer Aniston visited Matthew Perry, who played as Chandler Bing on “Friends.” Jennifer eventually learned that Courteney Cox (who played Monica Geller) was there. To add surprise, Ellen and Portia were also there.

The US Navy dolphins made a rare torpedo find when they uncovered a 130-year-old torpedo off the coast of San Diego near the Hotel del Coronado.

A self-propelled Howell torpedo was found last March by two US Navy trained bottlenose dolphin named Ten and Spetz. The rare torpedo was recovered without its warhead.

Christian Harris, operations manager of the US Navy Marine Mammal Program, reported that,

A diver went down and began to sweep the dust and debris off, and they realized that they had found something significant. Subsequently, it was recovered, and that’s when the light went on that what the dolphins had discovered was a really old marine artifact.

It was not clear however why the torpedo was found sitting below the waters off San Diego.

Howell torpedoes were reportedly named after its inventor, Lt. Cmdr. John A. Howell. A Howell torpedo has a length of about 11 feet, propelled by a 132-pound flywheel up to 400 yards at a speed of 25 knots.

These torpedoes were used to arm US Navy battleships and torpedo boats from 1870 to 1889.

According to a report on The New York Post on Friday, May 17, 2013, Simpson filed the lawsuit against McDonald’s in Brooklyn Supreme Court the day before it was reported. She said that the piece of glass was bigger than a penny, and that she bought it in a chain in Broadway near the World Trade Center in May 2010.

“Now when I sing, I have a hoarse, rattly voice. I still sing alto, but I can’t sing soprano like I used to. I have to make a lot of calls for work, and I have to tell people that I’m not a man. Before, that never happened.” Jacqueline Simpson was quoted telling to the paper. The amount of the suit was not disclosed.

There were no details provided as to how she approached the personnel of the food chain where she bought the chicken sandwich. There was also no photo released that shows the alleged piece of glass she found in the food. As of this writing, McDonald’s have not released any official comment on this issue.

Apparently, this is not the first time that someone complained about McDonald’s so-called unsanitized food. Back in May 2012, a Reddit user claimed that he found a dead insect attached to the McDonald’s potato cake that he was eating. The photo went viral, and McDonald’s never released their reaction.

Just last month, McDonald’s was put again into controversy after a certain David Whipple claimed that a McDonald’s burger he bought 14 years ago still looks fresh. The story was featured on the medical TV show “The Doctors,” where he told the doctors on the show that he never put the food inside the refrigerator.

According to earlier reports, Yahoo plans to buy Tumblr, which hosts 108.5 million blogs and 50.9 billion posts as of this Sunday. But it now appears that the rumors were true. Boards of both Yahoo and Tumblr reportedly agreed unanimously on the acquisition, people familiar with the matter told AllThingsD.

Tumblr Founder and CEO David Karp and Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer have not yet released any official statement with regards to the deal. But AllThingsD‘’s sources noted that Karp, 27, will still stay at Yahoo for at least four more years at least and will still have the majority of control over the service.

On the other hand, Mayer allegedly decided that buying Tumblr was going to be “the stake in the ground of what her strategy is going forward for Yahoo” and that she quickly realized in her research that the site is something that Yahoo needed to make it both relevant and “cool” to new consumers – younger audiences.

As a business model, Tumblr already made $13 million in revenue as of 2012 and aims to make $100 million in 2013. So far, Tumblr has raised $125 million in funding, and among its investors include Spark Capital, Union Square Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, and Insight Venture Partners.

Tumblr had 117 million visitors last April alone, according to comScore. A formal announcement from both companies announcing this business deal is being expected this Monday afternoon, which will be via a news conference from Yahoo in New York City, where Tumblr is based.

“A group sank in a tourney I played in today…” Reddit user donki wrote on the title of his post on Friday, May 17, 2013, along with the photo of the completely submerged golf cart near the shore, where a condominium sits nearby, adding that there was unlimited liquor during the small party held in that area.

According to the poster, the golf cart underwater photo was taken at the Miccosukee Golf Club in Miami, Florida, and a charity golf tournament was held. He said that the golf cart was about 6 feet under the water, noting that he really has no clue on what happened at the course and how it went there.

“Yea I have seen tractors, a dodge Durango go in a lake at the course and multiple golf carts as well as at least 15 push carts with bags on them. I am shocked at how reckless people can be. No clue how they got it out it was also a gas powered cart.” A statement reads on the Reddit page.

“All I know is that I heard a cart was in the water on 16 and as soon as we pulled up to the green I saw it. There was no bank for the cart to roll down. No bags were on it so I guess they took them off and shoved it in, fueled by liquor.” Reddit user donki added.

For a little less than a $6 bill, a waitress received $446 tip at the Steak ‘n Shake restaurant in Indianapolis on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

Cece Bruce was “amazed” that one of her regular customers, whom they call Miss Jo, handed her the huge tip. According to Bruce, Miss Jo‘s bill is only worth $5.97. Bruce explained that previously, the usual tip she received from Miss Jo is half of her bill.

Bruce is reportedly a full-time student at the Martin University and has been working in the restaurant chain for two years. She said that what happened “restores your faith in humanity, makes you trust people, and shows you can never judge a book by its cover. You’ve got to treat everybody the same. I try to be friendly to everyone.”

In an interview with TODAY.com, Bruce said that Miss Jo “always tips me 50 percent of her bill, but her bill is usually only $5 and she leaves a $5 tip. She’s a very nice lady.” Bruce tried to return the tip, but the customer insisted on giving her the money.

The Steak ‘n Shake manager, Greer Gooley explained that he “was in the back on a food order, and Miss Jo wrote out the bill and then she ran out the door really quick. (Bruce) ran into the parking lot to thank her, and she just told her to take it and then spun off. (Bruce) is extremely deserving of that money. She works hard, and she will come in whenever you need her. She has more regulars than any of our other servers.”

As noted by Bloomberg, Bill Gates regained the world’s richest man title yesterday from Mexican investor and philanthropist Carlos Slim, who is the Chairman and CEO of of Telmex, Samsung Mexico, Grupo Cars, and America Movil. Slim, 73, was ranked by Forbes as the richest person in the world from 2010 to 2013.

But as Bloomberg reported, Slim‘s shares value at America Movil, dubbed as the largest cellphone carrier in the Americas, has declined 14% this year after Congress of Mexico passed a bill that could repeal his dominance in the market. This resulted to a $3 billion reduction from his net worth.

“When they’re talking about reform in a country that’s generally poor, and the guy shows up No. 1 on the list — not a good thing.” Greg Lesko, managing director at Deltec Asset Management, which keeps an eye on $750 million and has an “underweight” position at America Movil, was quoted in the report.

“He’s had a pretty good monopoly situation in Mexico, and the Mexican cellphone user has been paying more than he should. We applaud it for the country.” Lesko added. America Movil is Mr. Slim‘s flagship company and its headquarters are located in Mexico City, and has 246 million mobile subscribers in 18 countries.

Meanwhile, Gates, 57, has most of his wealth at Cascade Investment, and has donated $28 billion to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, after establishing it in 2000. This year, Microsoft shares have climbed up 28 percent, and closed at a five-year high this Thursday for two times this week.

On the other hand, Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. ranked third in world’s richest people list in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with $59.7 billion net worth. Buffett, 82, is $3.7 billion richer than Spaniard Amancio Ortega, the richest person in Europe.

As noted at NBA.com, Will and Jaden Smith were sitting courtside during the Game 5 of the NBA playoff for the Eastern Conference semifinals between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat at the AmericanAirlines Arena, in Miami, Florida. Steve Kerr and Marv Albert were doing the anchor that time.

With 7:23 minutes remaining at the third quarter of the game after returning from a commercial break, the father and son tandem was focused by the TV camera and was seen talking to each other. But when Marv Albert acknowledged their presence, Craig Sager was at the right place on the right time.

Sager, who was then wearing pink and blue checkered blazer, was reportedly encouraged by Albert and Kerr to do the photobomb. He was seated behind Will and Jaden, when he noticed that the camera was focusing them. Sager positioned himself, making sure that he is seen on camera, and waved his hand, smiling at the camera.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat beat the Chicago Bulls, 94-91, and has advanced to the NBA Eastern Conference Finals for the third consecutive season after their 4-1 series victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder last season. For Will and his son Jaden, their movie “After Earth” will premiere in the US on May 31, 2013, which receives a free promotion during the Will Smith photobomb, as flashed on the TV screen.
