If you take a second to notice when the last post was on this blog, you'll realize that I've taken a little (or not so little) break from designing. The short version of a really long explanation is that my family has gone through a bunch of changes in the last few months and I needed to take some time to put them first. Now that everything is returning to normal, I'm excited to be back designing and participating in the digi-scrapping community!

If any of you have been to Digital Candy lately, you'll notice that there are some huge changes happening there, namely the fact that the shop will be closing at the end of the year. We're all sad to see things coming to an end, but looking forward to new opportunities!

In celebration of the great site DC has been and the new beginnings that will be coming soon, I'm offering an incredible sale!!! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had the most beautiful day on Saturday in Yosemite. We hauled all our bikes to the valley and spent the day riding and playing. It was amazingly beautiful and, while still hot, was such a relief from the heat where we live.

Check out these beautiful pictures my husband took with my new camera of the reflection of Half Dome in Mirror Lake! It was breathtaking!

I'm so excited! Today our family has two early morning baseball games then we've decided to head to the mountains. We live about 2 hours from Yosemite so we're going to load the bikes in the trailer, pack a picnic, and beat the heat by spending the day at a higher altitude! It's Friday!! I love Fridays! The anticipation of the weekend ahead....a break! For those of you who are regular blog readers here you know I have three boys playing baseball on three teams. Our Saturdays are usually spent at the ballpark and although it's gobbs of fun, the temperature is supposed to reach 100 degrees tomorrow. But...we lucked-out with two early morning games. I'm thrilled!! The rest of the day will probably involve either air conditioner or water. :)

I'm so excited because my Mother's Day present is scheduled to be delivered today! My husband treated me this year to a new camera and let me pick out the one I wanted. I'm most excited about the super zoom lenses I purchased with the camera so I can take better pictures at all our boys' little league baseball, basketball, and soccer games! I have to admit, I haven't been designing as much this week because I've been reading tutorials and watching training videos on how to work my new camera! hee hee

Wow! I've really neglected my blog this week! Actually, there are some changes. I just haven't been posting.

FAD #6 - Paisley Passion Quickpage FREEBIE

Did I lose track of time somewhere? Yesterday just flew by and honestly I'm so glad it's over! You know how some days it just seems like a little black cloud follows you around? That was yesterday. The day began with me taking the preschool carpool, running to a doctors appointment then heading on over to my favorite low-cost grocery store to do some major shopping. That in itself would constitute a challenged day because I really hate grocery shopping! A family of 7 eats so much food and at the end of the week what do you have to show for all that money spent? All the hours shopping? All the time cooking?

A growing family who is still hungry!

So, I spent over an hour in the store loading my cart to the top so I wouldn't have to pay the horrendous gas prices to drive down there again..watching the clock all the while making sure I'd have plenty of time to check out, load my car and pick up the kidos. With ample time I get to the line and begin to load the counter with all my goodies...I'm loading, I have half my cart on the counter and boy am I glad because every other line is packed and I'd never make it through in time. Then BAM! The lady in front of me has insufficient funds in her bank account, the register is locked, the manager comes, they talk and talk and talk, then she decides she wants the amount of groceries that equal what she has in her bank account so they pull everything through again and begin to go item by item checking prices and deciding what to buy. Finally, realizing there is no way IN THE WORLD I could get all my groceries paid for and loaded in the car in time to pick up the preschoolers. What do I do??? You guessed it. I grabbed the baby and my three-year-old and after explaining that I'm so sorry to leave them with this mess, but I've been in line forever and have preschoolers to pick up....I leave. AAAAAH! Now I have to go back again and do it all over again! Time wasted!!!

The rest of the day followed suit and I couldn't wait to get in bed last night and call the day done!

So, after the longest explanation ever....I am posting FAD #6 a day late. I'm so sorry!

I'm up early ready to start today with a smile and I'm already smiling because although it's been years and years since I worked as a secretary while I was a college student....my typing skills are still ok! Check out this fun typing test I found:
