Choosing The Right Keywords
If you chose the wrong keywords, or worse, none at all, you will, almost by definition fail. I have a hub that is popular and gets a good amount of search traffic. But the keyword is only worth 5c a click – on a good day! Lesson learned. You need to find a keyword which pays reasonably, I prefer a cost per click of at least $8 a click – remembering that I will only see maybe $2 of that. I also don’t want to much competition – I check who is at the top of the search engine rankings – and if its too hard I move on. Virus Lokal Kian Merajalela

Serangan virus yang dibuat programer dalam negeri diperkirakan kian marak. Walaupun kerusakan yang ditimbulkan virus lokal terbatas, dan lebih sebagai media pamer pembuatnya, tidak ada salahnya pengguna komputer tetap waspada.

Setiap bulan, rata-rata muncul 100 varian virus lokal baru atau lebih dari tiga varian baru setiap harinya. Serangannya juga beragam, dari virus Freemine yang baik hati, karena hanya menyembunyikan file. Hingga yang berbahaya, semacam Kespo yang mengenkripsi data korbannya, sehingga tidak bisa dibaca.

CEO perusahaan keamanan Vaksin.com Alfons Tanujaya mengatakan setidaknya ada tujuh virus lokal dengan penyebaran sangat luas. Seperti Sang Perawan, yang pada dua bulan pertama 2008, mencatat sukses karena tidak terdeteksi antivirus.

Virus yang lebih populer dikenal dengan nama W32/Dewi atau Sang Perawan mengganas pada Februari 2008. Virus ini memiliki ciri khas menginjeksi file gambar berformat JPEG (Joint Photographics Expert Group). Dua varian Sang Perawan yang ditemukan masing-masing memiliki ukuran asli 301 KB dan 91 KB.

File JPEG yang diinjeksi kedua virus ini akan berubah menjadi.EXE dan bertambah ukurannya 301 KB atau 91 KB. Celakanya, file JPEG tersebut menjadi error dan tidak bisa dibuka kembali. Untuk mengembalikan file JPEG yang telah “dipermak” virus ini, dapat menggunakan tool “Chanal jpg splitter” yang dibuat programmer Indonesia .

Virus berbahaya lainnya adalah Stargate. “Jika Ingin Menggapai Mimpi Yang Lebih Indah, Laksanakan dan Kerjakan”, demikianlah pesan yang muncul setiap kali komputer terinfeksi virus Stargate atau W32/Agent.

Stargate memalsukan dirinya menjadi icon folder dan termasuk sulit dibersihkan karena akan melakukan redirect file eksekusi. Selain itu virus ini juga berusaha melumpuhkan beberapa antivirus.

Catatan penting virus ini adalah pada secpol.msc (Security Policy) dan gpedit.msc (Group Policy Editor). Pembuat virus secara khusus melakukan pemblokiran secpol dan gpedit, sehingga komputer yang terinfeksi Stargate akan menampilkan pesan error setiap kali menjalankan kedua aplikasi itu.

Walaupun segudang ekstensi sudah di blok, Stargate lupa memblok .scr sehingga untuk melumpuhkan virus ini, tinggal mengubah ekstensi nama filenya menjadi .scr.

Bagi penggemar Manga, tentunya tahu cerita Naruto. Ninja dari desa Konoha yang berambisi menjadi Hokage (Kepala Suku). Rupanya ada pembuat virus yang juga penggemar Naruto.

Selain memalsukan dirinya dengan icon Winamp, virus ini juga mengubah icon Flash Disk pada Windows Explorer menjadi icon Winamp, virus ini juga menamai file induknya sebagai “HokageFile.exe”.

Hokage yang dideteksi sebagai VBWorm.gen16 ini juga bisa menginfeksi komputer atau Flash Disk secara otomatis dengan memanfaatkan fitur autorun. Virus ini disinyalir berasal dari Kalimantan Tengah/Sampit yang mengeksekusi file dengan nama “Hokagefile.exe” sebagai file induk.

Virus lain yang berbahaya adalah VBS/Repulik yang melakukan aksi mirip Kespo menginjeksi file MS Office. Bedanya Kespo mengincar file di komputer, Repulik merubah file MS Office di Flash Disk dan menginjeksinya dengan dirinya.

File MS Word dan Excel yang di injeksi akan bertambah ukurannya 5 KB dan menjadi file virus, tetapi ekstensi file juga berubah menjadi ekstensi ganda. Misalnya file asli memiliki nama dokumen.doc, setelah di injeksi Repulik ukurannya bertambah 5 KB.

Iconnya pun akan berubah menjadi VBS (Visual Basic Script) sehingga mudah dikenali. Jika file telah diinjeksi virus ini, bisa dikembalikan dengan program Splitter_VBS2DOC_XLS.

Ibarat lagu “SMS” yang populer kemudian muncul “Jawaban SMS”, begitu pula pembuat virus. Virus Hokage memunculkan pembuat virus lain dari daerah yang sama. Virus Amburadul misalnya mempromosikan kota Palangkaraya sebagai tempat wisata dengan menggunakan nama Jembatan Kahayan sebagai nama file.

Virus yang memalsukan diri sebagai file JPG ini memiliki banyak varian dengan ukuran bervariasi, 51 KB sampai 56 KB. Pada akhir 2008 virus lokal yang sudah menyebar antara lain Virus Jengkol, Koplaxz/VBWorm.QTT, dan Freemine/VBWormRJR.

Alfons menyarankan pengguna komputer melakukan kebiasaan aman dan menginstal antivirus yang selalu terupdate secara otomatis, setiap hari. Selain itu melakukan patch otomatis atas operating system supaya tidak memiliki celah keamanan yang dapat di eksploitasi virus.

Perlu diingat meskipun komputer sudah diproteksi dengan antivirus tetapi belum dipatch (tambal) celah keamanannya, maka virus tetap akan dapat menginfeksi komputer sekalipun sudah dikenali oleh antivirusnya.

Biasakan untuk tidak asal mengklik [Ok][Yes][Next][Finish] tanpa mengerti apa yang dijalankan. Hindari browsing ke situs-situs crack, judi dan porno karena mayoritas situs ini mengandung virus.

Google sedang menimbang untuk menambahkan aplikasi gratis yang memungkinkan pengguna iPhone menjelajah dunia maya dengan kekuatan suara.

Langkah yang diambil Google ini merupakan cara untuk mengimbangi rivalnya, Microsoft dan Yahoo, yang sudah lebih dulu meluncurkan layanan menjelajah internet dengan hanya mengajukan pertanyaan layaknya bertanya pada umumnya.

Sebagai bukti keseriusan Google dalam rencana terbaru ini, perusahaan yang digawangi sepasang sahabat Sergey Brin dan Larry Page tersebut, sudah mulai menyiapkan sebuah jalur telepon khusus bebas pulsa bernomor GOOG411. Dengan menelepon ke nomor ini, penelepon bisa berbicara ke sebuah sistem komputer yang nantinya akan mencarikan informasi yang diinginkan.

Sebelum Google maju ke ranah pencarian menggunakan suara, tahun lalu Yahoo sudah lebih dulu meluncurkan pengenalan suara menggunakan layanan oneSearch, dan layanan Live Search milik Microsoft, yang berkonsep hampir mirip satu sama lain, yaitu digerakkan dengan suara untuk menikmati layanan internet mobile.

Bukan apa-apa. Pasalnya yang kami ulas kali ini adalah notebook Toshiba Portege M300 yang dibalut warna merah muda yang “cewek banget”. Sama seperti versi Satellite M300 yang kami bahas bulan lalu, casing notebook ini dibuat melalui teknologi Fusion Finish untuk menghasilkan permukaan yang mengilat alias glossy. Jadi sudah pink, glossy pula; kebayang kan betapa meriahnya?

Sama seperti generasi sebelumnya, Portege M300 ini adalah notebook yang ditujukan bagi Anda yang mobile. Ini bisa terlihat dari ukuran layar berukuran 13,3” dan bobot sekitar 2 kg; cukup nyaman untuk dibawa bepergian. Namun karena kami belakangan terbiasa menguji notebook 13,3” yang tipis (seperti Macbook Air atau Lenovo X300), tebalnya M300 yang mencapai 4 cm terasa terlalu tebal.

Mungkin karena ditujukan untuk mereka yang banyak bepergian, notebook ini dilengkapi dengan fasilitas pemindai sidik jari untuk memperketat keamanan. Harddisknya yang berkapasitas 150GB juga dilengkapi teknologi peredam goncangan sehingga data di dalamnya tetap terlindungi saat notebook terjatuh. Fasilitas lain yang tersedia adalah Wi-Fi Draft-N, Bluetooth, webcam 1,3 MP, dan DVD Multi Format.

Di balik warnanya yang feminin, Portege M300 dibekali komponen yang cukup garang. Seri PPM80L-02Y013 yang kami uji ini misalnya, dibekali prosesor Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 (2,38GHz) yang dibantu memori DDR2-800 berkapasitas 1GB. Sayangnya fungsi grafisnya dijalankan chip onboard Intel X3100, sehingga kurang maksimal untuk menjalankan aplikasi gaming kelas berat. Bahkan jika dibanding Macbook Air yang menggunakan prosesor lebih lemah, kinerja 3D-nya masih tertinggal (lihat tabel hasil pengujian).

Di atas keyboard, notebook seharga US$ 1399 ini menyediakan panel kontrol untuk multimedia. Namun alih-alih menggunakan tombol, panel kontrol ini merupakan sensor sentuh yang dilengkapi dengan lampu. Ini membuat pengoperasian panel tersebut tidak terganggu meski kita mengoperasikannya dalam kegelapan.

Ketika kami coba memutar film, satu kelebihan yang kami catat adalah kualitas speakernya yang di atas rata-rata. Menggunakan speaker harman/kardon, suaranya terdengar jernih dan renyah, meski minim dentuman bass. Kualitas layarnya juga bagus, meski viewing angle-nya terlihat agak terbatas.

1. Determine if your visitors are “in the mood”

Like I mentioned at the top of this article, some web sites just don’t work with pay-per-click programs.
The best performing sites fall into one of these categories:

• Sites where users go to find specific information on something that they want to buy now. Big Fish, Small Pond Blogging

I just checked my email and found three requests from readers to have a look over their blogs and offer some tips. I’m happy to do this from time to time for free - but am unable to do it individually for everyone in depth without having to charge a bit of a consulting fee (mainly due to the numbers of requests I get. So I thought without mentioning the blogs who’ve asked for help (I don’t want to cause any offence or embarrassment) I thought over the next few days I’d write a few random tips that come to mind as I’ve surfed each of them.

Define Your Niche

The temptation when you first get into blogging is to write everything that comes into your head whether its about the movies you’re seeing, what you’re reading in the newspaper, your work, your latest techy toy etc. Whilst this might interest you and give you plenty of posting ideas it actually can make it difficult to write a profitable blog for a number of reasons. These include:

You have a better chance of ranking higher in search engines if all your posts are on related topics that are interlinked. If you have 100 pages on 100 topics the search engine will not see you as an authority on anything, but if you have a collection of pages that relate to one another they’ll consider it a safer bet that you are an authority on that topic.

You have a better chance of finding an advertising income stream for your blog. This is the case both for ad systems like Adsense and if you’re wanting to get private sponsorship for your page. With Adsense - it looks at the content on your page to determine which ads to serve. If it looks at your page and sees many topics you’ll confuse it and the topic of your ads may or may not relate to your content. The danger is that if your content does not relate to your ads you’re not likely to have people click the ads. The ideal situation is that you write on a topic and your readers see ads for that same topic - if you get this happening you increase the chance of them clicking and therefore of you earning an income. Likewise with private sponsorship deals you’re unlikely to find a company willing to pay you money to put their ads on unless their product relates to what you’re writing about. It wouldn’t be good business practice for them to do so.

You run the risk of confusing your readership if you blog on too many topics. Yes you might find a few people who are interested in the eclectic mix of topics you write on, however the more things you write about that they are NOT interested in the less chance you have of them coming back to your blog.

Of course there are exceptions to the ‘niche topic’ principle of successful blogs - there are of course successful blogs that cover many topics, but most at least have a loose theme whether it be politics, technology, news, etc. One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever heard given to web entrepreneurs is ‘try to be a big fish in a small pond’. Define your pond (a topic) and work at having the most comprehensive site on the net on it.

If you want to write about more than one topic I’d recommend you start a second and third and fourth blog rather than try to put it all into one.

I know that this tip can be difficult to hear for some bloggers - but its not just me that is saying it. Virtually every profitable blog that I can think of is carving out a niche for itself - some are smaller than others, some are more profitable than others, but they are niches nonetheless.

Positioning Your Adsense Ads

The amazing thing about the Adsense advertising system is how one simple change in positioning of your ads can have a profound impact upon the earnings you receive from it. I still remember a fateful night about 8 months ago when I learnt this lesson and doubled my income overnight (no this isn’t one of those posts where I’m selling something - relax).

It was 10.30am and I was about to head to bed when on a whim I decided to shift my Adsense ads from the position that I’d always had them at the top (banner position) of the blog I was working on at the time. I shifted the ad to a new position and then got distracted with something else and forgot about it.

A few hours later (I got very distracted) I again was thinking of bed but decided to check my Adsense stats for one last time before shutting down my powerbook - imagine my surprise when I found that my click through rate was 40% higher than normal (and so was the earnings for that time of night)!? At first I thought I was dreaming, then I considered that maybe Google had made a mistake, then I panicked that someone had been randomly clicking all my ads - and then I remembered the repositioning of ads that I’d done a few hours before.

Needless to say I didn’t sleep much that night. I lay awake excited by the potential that I’d just unlocked in my blogs, inspired by the fact that I could make the same changes to all my other blogs tomorrow, kicking myself that I hadn’t done it earlier (what a missed opportunity) and wondering if there might be an even better spot to try putting my ads.

The following morning I lept out of bed and checked my Adsense stats again to find that my click through rate was even higher than the night before and that I’d stumbled upon a way of doubling my income - literally over night.

Once again the response to my post yesterday to Positioning your Adsense Ads has been quite amazing as people have emailed and left comments asking for further details of what the ’secret position’ is to place ads on a blog that will magically double earnings overnight.

Perhaps I’ve created a monster in the past week or so here in telling people how much I earn. Since then I’ve been quite overwhelmed by the attention - emails, comments, instant messaging - all on levels I’ve not experienced before from a post. I guess people want to make money from their blogs! I can’t blame them I guess - I’m obviously interested in that too.

So what is the magical, secret position to put your Adsense ads? Someone even emailed me tonight offering to pay me to reveal the secret. Hmmmm - maybe i should hold an Ebay auction and offer the information to the highest bidder!

No - I’m a nice guy - you can send cash if you want to but I’m not into secrets and am always (well usually) happy to share what I know. The ’secret’ was simply to move my ads down from the banner position into the actual post itself. At the time Adsense only allowed one ad placement per page, these days they allow three (like I have on my blog here) - so now you can actually keep your banner ad and also put one inside your content.

So why do ‘in content’ ads work better? The answer is pretty obvious - in fact its quite literally staring you in the face as you read this…..you’re reading this….your eyes are trained upon the content of this post. What better place to put ads than the place your reader is pretty likely to look? Now keep in mind that different websites and blogs tend to have different results when it comes to where their readers eyes are drawn to (see this fascinating blog for some studies on this) but it is generally accepted that the first paragraph of content is generally reasonably well read of most pages.

Of course there are some who argue that this isn’t an ethical thing to do - putting text link ads into the content of a blog - I’m not going to get into that argument here except to say that in my opinion blog readers are usually smart enough to tell what is content and what is an ad (the Ads by Goooogle lable is enough for me). All I’m saying here is that in my opinion and experience, the positions that generally get the highest click-throughs are within the main body and content of your blog.

I’m not really telling a massive secret here - if you look at most of the top earning blogs out there you’ll find that most of us are using the same strategy with our ad placements. There are slight variation on the theme between us but check out some of these blogs use of ads within content and you should see what I mean:

Engadget - ads placed after a post and before comments on individual pages and between posts on the main page.
Digital Photography Blog - ads here are within content at the top of posts. Another ad can be found at the bottom of posts before comments.
Mobile Tracker - ads at the end of posts and before comments on individual pages and between posts on the main page.
Gizmodo - ad at the base of each quote on individual pages and between posts on the main page.
Of course they are all variations on a theme but there is a pretty common theme there i think.

I will say this however - not all blogs are the same and each one of my blogs vary in degree to which they prove this point. Sometimes the click through rates between blogs vary incredibly despite the fact that the ads are in exactly the same position. Obviously its not as simple as just sticking an ad into the content of your blog - its worth experimenting and tracking your results. What works on one blog will not always work on another.

In a previous post in this series I asked the questions:

There are probably two main ways of answering these questions. The first one is from the point of view of aesthetics and the second is about cold hard cash and whether it will earn you more money to have more ads or less.

1. Aesthetics - probably the most common complaint I hear against Adsense (and other types of ads) is that advertising is an eyesore and ruins the design of a page. I’ve read post after post of people complaining that they do not want to be exposed with ads and especially offensive to their sensitivities are pages that have ads all over them.

I have some sympathy for this view and its something that always weighs heavily on my mind as a blogger - how many ads are too many ads? The beauty (probably the wrong work in a paragraph about aesthetics) of Adsense is that it is customizable and ads can be made to blend into or contrast the design of a page. Even so, the more ads you put on your page the higher the chance you have of offending the those who are advertorially (I know its not a word - I’m being post-modern) sensitive.

Related to this is the theme of your blog. I have some blogs that I only serve one ad per page (or even no ads) simply because I don’t feel its appropriate to commercialize the blog at all.

2. Financial Considerations - believe it or not - but having more Adsense ads on your site can actually mean you earn less income from them! I know this sounds stupid and some of you think I’ve finally lost it - but its true, I found out for myself last week. Let me tell you the story.

Last week I decided to ‘tweak the ads on one of my blogs’. The blog in question had two ads per page, one in a banner ad at the top of the page and the other in a position within the content section of my blog. The ad within the content was my primary ad - the one that performed best (as previously discussed). Adsense allows three ads per page so the logic in my mind said ‘three ads will perform better than two’. So I cleverly decided to ad a small ad to my side bar (similarly to the one I have on this blog at present over on the left). I added it (with a label saying it was an ad) and smuggly went to bed imagining that I’d just earned myself a few extra dollars a day.

The next day I noticed that the Click Through Rate of my Adsense ads was lower than normal overall - so were earnings. I was not too concerned because it does tend to go up and down from day to day. The following day I noticed the same thing - lower CTR and lower earnings. Day three and I was starting to worry a little that something had gone wrong as the trend continued and I had little idea why. At first it didn’t even cross my mind that the new ad might be having any impact.

I checked the channels feature of Adsese at this point and realised that only one of the many channels that I track was lower than normal. It had halved its normal rate! Of course the channel that had decreased was the primary in content ad from my blog (my cash cow of the blog).

It only took me a few moments to work out why this had happened. You see the ad that I had added to my side bar was stealing ads from my primary ad in the content and leaving it with few, if any ads to serve. Let me explain.

The way Adsense works if you have more than one ad running on a page is that it will serve ads to the ad that it finds first on your blog. It fills up the first one first, the second one in the code second and the third one in the code third. If at any point it runs out of relevant ads it stops serving them and you either end up with a public service ad, an empty space or an alternate ad (depending upon how you configure your set up).

On that particular blog the code was in this order.

- 1 Banner ad

- 2 Side bar ad

- 3 In content ad

You can see what was happening - the banner ad got first priority and was always served ads. The side bar ad almost always got ads and the in content ad got them some (50%) of the time. Of course this left my primary position empty half of the time (not a wise move).

You can probably guess what I did faster than a speeding bullet - side bar ad was gone very quickly and the banner ad didn’t last long either. Now the in content ad is always full and I have moved a secondary ad further down the page. CTR and revenue are back up to normal (in fact they are up a bit).

So - take home message time. When designing the ads on your page rank your ad positions in terms of priority. Which spot do you want to get the first ads and always be full? Which are secondary spots that don’t matter so much if they are empty from time to time? Then check to see which order they appear in the code on your site. This is easily done. Simply select the ‘view source’ option in your browser. This should open a window that shows you the back end of the page you’re viewing - find the google adsense code and work out which is which (you should be able to tell by the size of the ad). If your primary ad isn’t the first one you might need to make some changes either to where you place your ads or to how your blog is configured and serves the code.

Blogging For Website Traffic

Nowadays, it seems that everyone and his cousin have taken to blogging. This form of online self-expression has slowly but steadily taken over the World Wide Web to become somewhat of a phenomenon in recent years. Some people use blogs as their personal journals, some may see them as an outlet for their creative work, and others may just want their own personal place in cyberspace to share thoughts and ideas.

Now, a quick question for the Internet businessman. If you have a blog, can you use it to boost your site's exposure and drive more traffic to it? A blog is great for sharing ideas and posting about things you like or don't like, but can a blog help your online business succeed?

The answer is a definite YES. Your blog can do wonders for your website, but it all depends on the way you utilize its potential power. I'm going to teach you a tried and proven method that has been effective for other website owners, and this method is applicable for any type of blog. You will just need a lot of creativity and some time to make it work.

First thing you have to keep in mind is that most blogs on the Web have a community feel to them. You may think that your blog is your own, since you're the one who installed and developed it. And you may be right. But your blog is also connected to other blogs on the same site. You may also be connected to other blogs that are using the same blogging software as you. This situation guarantees that sooner or later, a person will land on your blog and be able to see all that you have to say. Your visitors need a good reason to keep coming back to your blog. Use it to give expert and knowledgeable information about your line of work to your readers. If you're selling a product on your site, talk about it on your blog, and don't just post a measly advertising blurb.

Let's say you're selling power tools on your website. You can write reviews and other useful posts about the kinds of tools you have on your site. What you're doing is providing some insight for your potential customers about the tools you're selling. These blog posts will then be able to generate confidence in your readers and encourage them to actually buy the products.

Another advantage of having a blog is that it makes it easier for interested buyers to get access to the seller (that's you). Usually, readers of a particular blog post are allowed to leave comments on what they've just read. For example, you've just finished a review for the new Ajax power drill. Whenever a reader comes across it and has a question regarding that product, he or she can easily leave a comment. You can then see the questions and post your answers. See? You can now connect with your readers and potential customers personally. This make you much more approachable, as compared to the faceless entity behind the impersonal commercial website.

In addition, your readers will also have the option of subscribing to your blog feeds via RSS or to your newsletters, so they can be immediately notified about any new posts you make. If you have established a reputable standing in your niche, a long list of eager readers will soon be waiting for your next post, and lots more will be coming to your website.

Do You See Failure or Success?

I remember attending a meditation workshop with Mark Epstein, a well-known 'Buddhist psychologist.' He told a story about a meeting he had with Ram Dass, spiritual teacher and author, where Ram Dass had asked Mark Epstein about his work with his patients. As Mark talked about his work, Ram Dass interrupted him and asked, "Do you see them as already healed?"

I was so struck by this story. As a coach and healer of businesses, I saw the clarity in this question. So often as solo-service professionals it is easy to focus on our success by looking at ourselves (what we are doing, creating, visualizing, etc.), but the results are incredible when we turn the focus on those that we serve.

What do you see when you look at your clients or customers? Do you see failure or success?

When I worked as a high school teacher--in moments when my students were working on their own--I would say to myself, "The light in me sees the light in you." I really felt that. I could see my students succeeding long before they could see it or could even venture to believe it. However, I knew as their teacher it was my duty to hold that vision and energy for them and then guide them through the action steps of getting there. It always worked. I have countless high school teaching success stories.

I see that same (if not more--I've learned a lot in the past few years) success for the private and Boot Camp clients I work with now. I literally see them as a successful magazine owner, professional organizer, coach, meditation expert, Feng Shui practitioner...and the list goes on. It continues to work.

I ask you to begin to apply this to your own business. Here are 3 steps to begin SEEING success in those that you serve.

1)Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.

In Dr. Wayne Dyer's book, The Power of Intention, he sites that, "It turns out that at the tiniest subatomic level, the actual act of observing a particle changes the particle." This is a clear example of energy affecting energy. If I look at you and see your success, then you begin to create more of and be success! How great is that?

So when speaking to a prospect, customer, or client, instead of questioning your abilities (wondering if you'll get the sale or joining them in their woes), the most powerful action you can take is to change the way you are looking at the situation. See them as happy, joyful, peaceful, well, successful...and more. You will be effecting a change that will result in more success and abundance for the both of you. (It feels so much better than worry and doubt!)

2)Be constantly giving.

The energy of success is constantly giving and the supply is limitless. When you can come from this place in your own business, you begin to attract more into your life.

I know when I first heard this, it was hard for me to grasp. Mostly, because I used to come from a place of giving, but have one eye immediately on making sure that I was compensated and at the same time convinced that I wouldn't be. Guess what? I wasn't and I felt a whole lot of resentment at the same time.

When I shifted my attention to giving for the sake of the success of those that I was serving and simultaneously confidently took care of what I needed for myself and my business (instead of waiting for someone else to do just do it), there was more success ALL around.

3)Detach from the outcome.

When you are able to SEE success, you don't need to be attached to the outcome because you KNOW that it's going to be successful. Whenever you are caught up in accumulating (I have to get this client; I have to sell to this customer), then you lose sight of what your main goal is--to see the success of those that you serve.

Find out exactly what's going on for the person that you're speaking to. Ask them and ask yourself, what do they need? The answer to this question is usually multi-layered. (For example, prospects that come to me may need more income from their businesses, but they also need to move through the blocks they've unconsciously set up for themselves that's keeping them from getting more money). So, you then SEE them as getting their needs fully met and begin the process of working with that person, so you can help make it happen.

Call To Action:

1) Ask yourself, how do I see my prospects, clients, or customers? Be honest. Just let the answer come. No judgment. It will give you a lot of information.

2) With whatever answer you get now, ask yourself, "How can I improve?" How can I see this situation differently?

3) For one day focus only on those you serve and their success. Write down the difference in how you feel, the results that your clients get, and anything else that pops up.

Search Engine Ranking - What Works Now

The methods employed to increase your search engine rankings may seem like rocket science to you, so you have probably avoided dealing with this issue. I am here to tell you - the time has come to face your website! A high search engine ranking for your website is so essential that if you have the slightest desire to actually succeed in your business, there is no way you can continue to avoid this issue.

At least 85% of people looking for goods and services on the Internet find websites through search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN. The idea of optimizing your pages for high search engine rankings is to attract targeted customers to your site who will be more than likely to make a purchase. The higher your page comes up in search engine results, the greater the traffic that is directed to your website. That's what search engine optimization is about.

You can immerse yourself in all the technical information available online to figure out how to optimize your web pages to achieve higher rankings. Or you can look at a few simple items on your pages, make some small adjustments, and most likely see improved rankings quite rapidly.
