Big Boi: Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors. This album blew my mind, and although its not flawless, its near perfect in my eyes. it flows good with the exception of two songs, but its worth ur buck, or bucks ;) it features some of my favorite artist like KID CUDI, Little Dragon, and the highly underrated Kelly Rowland (Destiny's Child).

RIHANNA: Unapologetic, NOW i am a DIE HARD marine from the rihanna navy, i think she can do no wrong, BUT les be annas! TTT (talk that talk) was a weak ass album, and though i like a buttload of songs off that album, i know when to say, man riri you need to up ur game, and i think this bitch knew and she brought it with this album. it flows from one end to the end starting off with a sick David G. track "Phresh Off The Runway" and ending with a coldplayesque bow out "Half Of Me" if you are not even a fan of Rihanna, you will find something off this album. she went less sexual and more fun on this return and I'm in love.

Dawn Richard Armor On!!!!!!

2012-04-10T18:24:00.000-07:00

So I have to say, if you are a fan of smoky vocals and sick as fuck ambient beats, jump on itunes and buy "ARMOR ON" by former member of DANITY KANE, now i can't say i was skeptical of this album, because i was a huge fan of "Diddy-Dirty Money" not for Diddy, but for the "dirty" i thought they rocked every track, and the direction seemed very different for a project manned by the Big-Shot producer, now listening to "Armor On" i can safely say, i think Dawn had more sound control. the album is heart felt from Intro 2 Outro, and has several hit sandwiched in between. "Bombs" seems to be the biggest and first hit off the album, i think its a bit mainstream, but i dig it. she even has a video that i have posted at the bottom. Now i hate to compare, but i feel greatly that her vocals are very close to Brandy's and i am a huge! fan of hers, so in a way, this album is what i would want from Brandy, so its a little bit of a fix for me, while i wait for 2/11 (Brandy's upcoming album) and in the process, Dawn has proved her ground and has made me a fan. Dawn has announced that her major solo debut project will be a broken up trilogy of albums entitled "GoldenHeart, "BlackHeart", and "RedemptionHeart". "GoldenHeart", the first of the trilogy is expected to be released in 2012. On June 19, 2011 a buzz track entitled "Stuck On Mad" was released to the public. Followed by a release of a remix to Frank Ocean's Novacane. The remix which was co-written by songwriter Intyce, hit the net on June 21, 2011 and reached over 5000 downloads within a few hours. Intyce was enlisted as one of the writers for Richard's solo debut. SMFU (SAVE ME FROM U) was released on the internet 31 October and is set to be on the first album. The video was premiered on 106 & Park on January 5, 2012. This album is set to have an concept of a alter-ego named NEON. The concept has not yet been discussed. Before GoldenHeart is revealed, Dawn will release Armor On as an introduction to the concept, the fan favorite Heart Music and of course the husky alto vocals that swoon her audiences. Armor On was released on March 27, 2012. Her current single is Bombs.

Dumb & Dumber 2

2012-04-03T12:37:00.000-07:00

Bust out the orange and periwinkle tuxedos, folks. Peter Farrelly revealed over the weekend that filming will begin for the sequel to Dumb and Dumber’ this September, with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels set to reprise their roles as America’s favorite bone-headed duo. And just so no one confuses this follow-up with the incredibly unfunny prequel “Dumb and Dumberer,” Farrelly further clarified that “We [the Farrelly brothers] did not do ‘Dumb and Dumberer.’ That was a studio thing.”

Sean Anders and John Morris, who previously wrote ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ and ‘Mr. Popper’s Penguins,’ are penning the script, but don’t put all of your dead parakeets in one basket just yet. According to a source close to the production, “it’s not greenlit yet.” Surely though with the social media furor that the ‘Anchorman’ sequel announcement created, this long-awaited sequel will get its day in the sun.

The Resurrection Of Brandy

2012-04-03T11:21:00.000-07:00

Brandy is definitely in her zone. Following the release of her underrated, under-promoted 2008 album, Human, the former teen star retreated from the spotlight – a place she’s been centered since her first meeting with Atlantic Records at 15 years old. After several years of personal strife, including sagging sales of Human and severing ties with her recording label, Epic Records, the 33-year-old talent is ready to shed her skin and start anew.

“I think a lot of the struggles I’ve had are what I needed to go through to get to another place,” she says. “Everything is pretty sudden. One day I just woke up and I changed my mind about everything. I felt like I wasn’t fulfilled. I was acting simultaneously with singing as a kid, and I just felt like I have this talent, why am I not using it? Why am I not trying everything and doing everything I can do?” Snapped back to reality after a near four-year hiatus from her solo career, Brandy is back to basics with the upcoming release of her sixth album, Two Eleven, releasing in June. The LP, which features production and writing from Sean Garrett, Bangladesh, Rico Love, Frank Ocean, Drake and Noah “40” Shebib, comes on the heels of reality show stardom with her family (VH1’s Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business) and hand wave appearances at red carpets. Her public standing shrunk; her star dimmed.

But with Two Eleven, a reference to her birthday (February 11th) and the day her mentor Whitney Houston passed away, Brandy is signifying a reinvention of sorts: she’s signed with a new label, RCA Records, shifted out of her comfort zone and is embracing reality. It’s a near confrontational way to reclaim her artistry. “It’s taken a minute for me to really figure out the type of artist that I am, the type of music that I need to sing to reconnect with my audience. I just know with this album, I wanted it to be as honest and as real as possible,” she says. “Sometimes, you can get caught up in wanting to make hits and wanting to get on the radio and performing on everything that’s out there. I just wanted to stay true to who I was. That’s why it’s taken me so long to figure out the right home for me to put my music out there with. Other than that, I wanted my album to represent honesty and clarity and struggle and pain, as well as love, with a different sound and a different edge. That’s what this album is.” Her first steps back into the pop culture arena came with a handholding counterpart. Fourteen years after their chart-rocking, she-for-all “The Boy is Mine,” Brandy and Monica reunited to record the Rico Love-penned “It All Belongs to Me,” the first single from both Two Eleven and Monica’s upcoming album New Life, due in April. On the sassy back-and-forth, the two unite instead of fight, staking materialistic territory in the wake of a breakup (“That MacBook, that shit belongs to me / So log off your Facebook,” they sass on the chorus). For Brandy, the intention was to release a solo single, but opportunity was too sweet to dismiss.

“I was so focused on my project and what I needed to do to get my music back out there, but when an idea like this comes along, this is more than just a song; it’s an event. It’s the reunion of two artists that made history together. It’s bigger than the song itself,” she says. “Of course I wanted to come out first on my own so I can stand on my own two feet, but who knew that this Monica thing would come along? I couldn’t say no to that. That would be stupid.” The duet was more a matter of circumstance than opportunism. When Brandy and Monica paired in 1998, it was during their tempestuous teens, right when their careers were hitting full stride. The song became the best-selling track of that year, and won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group. But industry politics turned them on one another. Only once did they grace the same stage to perform the back-and-forth cut: at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards. It took years of maturity to look past their petty squabble, which was admittedly without a basis, for the girls to woman up. After Brandy left Epic Records in 2009 and resigned with RCA Records in August 2011, she found herself at the same label home as her former foe. The imprint asked her if she would consider doing a collaborative cut with Monica, and after reconnecting with the Atlanta songstress, the wheels started spinning.

“The first time, we didn’t know each other. We just went to the studio and recorded the song. There was no chemistry there, really, because we didn’t really have any time to sing with each other,” says Brandy, who has since filmed a video for the song with Monica and performed the track live several times. The two are in talks to do a summer tour together, though nothing is set in stone. “We would be dumb if we didn’t do a tour. Something has to happen in order for that not to happen, something where you’d have to be like, ‘Oh, they called me to be in Avatar 3. Sorry Monica, I gotta do that movie!’ That would be the only thing that would stop me.”

Important to Brandy was keeping Monica close in the weeks following Whitney Houston’s death. Brandy had maintained a close relationship with the late singer throughout the years, and conversed with Whitney and Monica during Grammy weekend in February 2012. They had just spoken before Whitney retreated to her room, where she soon passed. Management insisted that no questions be asked about the loss of her mentor, but Brandy was quick to reference her, explaining that she was important enough to inspire Two Eleven’s title. “Some of the titles I was working with were Rebirth, Reincarnation, Reinvention, Resurrection… I just felt like Two Eleven describes all of that. It’s the day I was born, and each year, I evolve and change with time,” she says. “It also has a whole new meaning to it because I gained my angel. My icon is my angel now. It’s all tied in there and I just think it best represents who I am and the responsibilities I have moving on.” Shying away from the smooth piano-infused sound of Human, Brandy roughs up her sound on Two Eleven, maintaining the powerful productions of previous records but mashing in genres outside of her comfort zone. “It’s definitely R&B, but it has the crossover appeal. It’s grittier, it’s edgier, it’s just different type of R&B. It’s not your regular smooth, soft with the beat type music,” she describes. “It’s just taking risks and hearing how I sound over different types of music, and I wanted an album that different people can listen to. Not just R&B, but pop and hip-hop. I wanted everyone to have something that they can listen to on this album.”

Part of her evolution comes in the form of the team involved on Two Eleven. Normally, Brandy aligns with a particular producer such as Timbaland or Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins to helm the bulk of an LP, and uses additional beatsmiths to color the gaps. But for Two Eleven, she’s piecing together a versatile offering of “gritty” R&B with pop and hip-hop overtones, working with a spread of musicians to expand her sound. Notable contributions come from Odd Future’s resident crooner Frank Ocean, who previously penned “1st & Love” off of Human under his government name Christopher Breaux. For “Scared of Beautiful,” Ocean lends his writing chops for a deeper cut about a woman coming to terms with her beauty. “His music speaks volumes, and I was able to experience that before everyone else knew,” she says. “I always knew he was really special and I just wanted to see how we could vibe, what we could come up with together in the studio this time around. He’s just a genius. I think his songs have so much substance and so much depth, and you need that on an album as well.” While self-imposed, the hiatus from her solo career came after departing from Epic Records, on which she only released. Brandy took the opportunity to breathe – she’d been active in music for more than a decade – and make her home at a label that would back her recordings and creativity – no questions asked. It’s at RCA where she found her footing – “They would do everything in their power to get my music out there” – and got her musical career back on track. But her creative reemergence also inspired her return to acting. As far back as her early teens, Brandy was a screen diva, holding court on television as the star of Moesha and appearing in films such as 1998’s I Know What You Did Last Summer and 2001’s Osmosis Jones. It took a cameo on CW’s 90210 to get her back into character, followed by recurring roles on Drop Dead Diva and The Game. She doesn’t care for reality television anymore and is entertaining the idea of developing and starring in a scripted series a la Moesha. “That’s where I’m from. I was raised on television. I need to continue to keep that up,” she explains. “It’s just like it was meant to be, for me to get back into it and with developing my own show now, I want a show that represents everything that I am and more, and just take risks and challenge myself to be somebody different than who I am, as well. I’m ready though.” Television paved the way for her foray back into Hollywood. In July, Brandy will star alongside Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Williams and Lance Gross in the Tyler Perry film The Marriage Counselor, where she plays a woman named Melinda. Though she wouldn’t go into specifics about her character, she describes Melinda as “running from a past that’s so hard for her to face.” It’s a familiar circumstance for Brandy, who had spent the past few years coming to terms with future while growing from past hardships.

“It may not be the same exact situation or the same circumstance, but no matter what, pain feels the same in any situation,” she says. “I was definitely having to pull from the most painful experiences that I had to connect with Melinda, and that’s a hard thing to do when you’re excited and happy to be doing a movie and working with Tyler Perry.”
With her singing and acting careers in full swing, Brandy looks back on her resurgence over the last year as a blessing. Stating that “positive thinking and including God in everything I do” is the key to success, she’s finally ready to take on new challenges, looking at former mistakes as stepping stones to putting her professional life back on track.
“I’m just excited to entertain and discover more and more about myself, and through these great experiences like doing an album, doing different roles, all of this stuff, it’s just reminding me of why I’m here and why I’m on this planet. I just want to continue to do everything that I’m supposed to do,” she says. “It’s all a gift. I’m just so thankful. I just want to be able to do whatever it is that I’m meant to do. I’m just excited to discover more and more about me, because I forgot. I really forgot. I’m reminded more and more every time I experience things like I’ve been experiencing them over the last year.”

Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday, Roman RELOADED Review

2012-04-03T10:12:00.000-07:00

So Its Here, No Idea why she didn't just name is Roman Reloaded, but Nicki Returns with 22 tracks of half shit talking, half pop disaster with SUPERBASS Formula to back it up. The First track is "Roman Reloaded" this track is pretty odd, but i like it, it kinda sounds like a pop hip- hop version of Sweeney Todd with a (IF POSSIBLE) more twisted sound. "COME ON A CONE" this is one of my favorite tracks, the beat is insanity, and the flow crazy-town, especial the "Diiiiiiiick in yo faaaaaace" line, priceless Nicki, you done done it here crazy bitch. "I AM YOUR LEADER" feat, Cam'ron & Rick Ross, I'm diggin this track, and its nice to see Cam'ron back in the game. "Beez In The Trap" feat 2 Chainz is up next, and the beat is old school and perfect, i like the beats like this cause it showcases her rap talents, yes yes i know the bitch can sing, i get it, BUT i like hearing her crazy flows and personality that hooked me from the beginning, i appreciate this song immensely. "HOV LANE" another song where we hear how successful Nicki is, yay! this never gets tired, because she is in the HOV lane, and I'm in the soul train..........okay on to the next cause i don't get this one. "ROMAN RELOADED" up next, this one was the first track i heard, and i must say, waaaaaaaay better when thrown into the album it, makes more sense. not a crazy fan for this track but i love the next one "Champion" feat Nas, Drake, and Young Jeezy, this song is great, it has that beat and colab that is expected and wanted on a hip-hop album, and Nicki gets to showcase her vocal chords at the same time, without boring us all to death with a fist puming commercial whack-off the follow up track is "Right By Your Side" Featuring Woman Demolisher CHRIS "breezy" BROWN, now this song is bubbly, cute and fun yeah, but the hook sounds alot like Brandy's "FULL MOON" track "WOW" lol seriously, take a listen, its a little odd. "Sex In The Lounge" feat Bobby V. and Lil Wayne is next, now I'm a big Bobby V. fan, so i kinda love this track, i think this is another good match and mix of Nicki's talent, I'm not overwhelmed with sugar and spice, this one is okay in my book! "Starships" which I'm sure is a big hit on the jersey shore, is Nicki's fist pumping feel good song, but it kinda just makes me feel like a girl, lol i mean its not horrible, I'm just not into it, i liked it for one day, and then i burnt out on it, it sounds like everything out there, i think touring with Britney spears and working with MDNA, stealing GaGa's stylist and working with Red One, really went to this bitches head, but play on playa, people eat this Cake up! but once people start counting calories, don't get mad when they go on a Minaj-Diet. "POUND THE ALARM" ummmmmmmm i like the inception horn alot, but is this nicki or gaga ohhhhhh oh ohhhhhhhhh this sounds like Bad romance the remix. "WHIP IT" this is what happens when we tell an artist "Superbass" is a hit!!!!!!! the studio says "MAKE MORE JUST LIKE THAT" and then we have more basses, not as good because now its played out, but you can guarantee the gays and teeny boppers will dub-step they're little 4loco brains out to it! "AUNTOMATIC" continues the electro dance party, so start rolling on ur E and get the glow sticks out! cause the party is goin all damn night. "Beautiful Sinner" is the following track, this one is okay not too annoying i guess when it all come down to it, I'm not a fan of over poppy Nicki, its just kinda whack to me, and i know she is from theater and she is just having fun, i dig that, so I'm trying not to hate, and this song, is okay after my eardrums have been numbed by the previous tracks. "Marilyn Monroe" is a mellow ballad, with a nice little drum beat, its def poppy, and i can see this playing on a Disney teeny bopper movie trailer, its cute, Next! "YOUNG FOREVER" the intro is sick! very postal service, i dig this song, its great, and i connect to it, its a cute Nicki track, and very poppy, but i like the composition and layout, its like an edgy nursery rhyme. "Fire Burns" this is probably my next favorite track, i love her ability to sound vulnerable and then say things like "You Piece of Shit" fantastic, and i think everyone has felt this way about an ex at one point or another. good job girl! "GUN SHOT" feat Bennie Man, now this was kind of a fun surprise, because i have not heard Bennie man in 4 ever!!!!! this is her island flare song, cant hate on this one. there is a point where she tries to his a high note and fails in a majorly epic way, but big props for not auto tuning ur ass!!!!!! "Stupid Hoe" ok we get it you dont like Lil Kim, You won, we know it, she knows it, lets all move on from this piss competition. "TURN ME ON" Feat ???? Nicki Minaj lol have no idea why this song is on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"VaVa Voom" is up next this is really the superbass continuation, its exactly the same formula, lol but it works, if its not broke, don't fix it. "Masquerade" is the follow up after, and its no less poppy, but it ends the album, and i feel content with half the album, not too bad, and shockingly better than i thought. it truly is a half n half album, so if you rather hip-hop than pop its all there for you. enjoy "Roman Reloaded"

The Hunger/Racism Games

2012-03-28T10:01:00.000-07:00

So "Hunger Games" flippin killed it over the weekend. Despite fawning reviews and record-breaking ticket sales, some fans of the blockbuster young adult trilogy by author Suzanne Collins were livid (wrongfully so) by the decision to cast an African-American actress as Rue, one of the supporting characters. who unless you blind is clearly described as having "dark brown skin" in the first installment.

As Jezebel notes, many "Hunger Games" viewers resorted to sending racist tweets over the fact that Rue (played in the film by young actress Amandla Sternberg) was black.

"Why does Rue have to be black," wrote one ignorant fan, whose Twitter page no longer exists. "Not gonna lie, kinda ruined the movie."

"Awkward moment when Rue is some black girl and not the innocent blonde girl you picture," wrote another user, whose account has also been deleted.

Of course, the occasion of "The Hunger Games" arriving in theaters isn't the first time some fans were upset with the casting. Last year, after the character posters for "The Hunger Games" debuted -- showing both Sternberg as Rue and Lenny Kravitz as stylist Cinna -- reactions on the Internet were equally harsh. Now To Be fair lol which is far from racist, i did NOT see Cinna as Black, but i also didn't know what i thought Cinna Looked like, but to be soooooo surprised The Rue is Black just cracks me up, it only means these people are horrible readers!!!! pick up more books kids, lets learn ya how to read! maybe start off with Huck fin, or tom sawyer, so you can also learn about being a racist bastard.

anyways! "The Hunger Games" is out in theaters now. For more on the racist "Hunger Games" tweets, head over to Hunger Games Tweets, a Tumblr created to "expose the 'Hunger Games' fans on Twitter who dare to call themselves fans yet don't know a damn thing about the books."

Game Of Thrones Book One

2012-03-13T10:03:00.000-07:00

A Game of Thrones is the first book in the amazing Saga A Song of Ice and Fire, a series by American author George R. R. Martin. It was first published on the 6th of August in 1996. The novel won the 1997 Locus Award, and was nominated for both the 1998 Nebula Award and the 1997 World Fantasy Award. The novella Blood of the Dragon, comprising the Daenerys Targaryen chapters from the novel, won the 1997 Hugo Award for Best Novella. In January 2011 the novel became a New York Times bestseller and reached #1 on the list in July 2011, now i don't wanna just throw stats at you, but man, i have been little enthused for a book since i finished Lord of the rings, waaaaaaaaaay back when i was in middle school, now yeah i loved Harry Potter, yeah i got into Hunger Games, but rich story telling that immerses you into the world, is unlike any feeling a reader can have, its easy to be intimidated, i grant everyone that looks at those books and turns away that right, but if you miss this saga, you truly are missing out on an absolute great adventure.

I am currently on Book One (Game Of Thrones), half way done, and it is probably my favorite series ever written, i loved lord of the rings, like no other, i have collections of bobble heads, action figures and special editions, all in my closet like the geek of geeks, but there is something about George R.R. Martin's brain and patience with telling a story that hooks me, I'm addicted to every word, every page, i have an app on my iphone!, to get myself more familiarized with it, i bought a shirt online! i am a fan of one week!, and i am only going to geek out more! lol i suggest you read the series if you are curious. Just do it!!!!!!!

The Artist: My Review

2012-01-17T09:57:00.000-08:00

So In November I had The Pleasure of seeing the Artist, and before i get into How fantastic the film was, i wanna say, GO SEE IT! now i was super duper gassed and excited about this film, and wasnt sure if my date was gonna like it, but i went foward with it, got my popcorn and candy, and sat down, and was ready for this amazing experience, i cant really explain what its like to see a silent film, within an audience that you know is used to watching "Talkies" its very different, almost tense, uneasy, its just interesting. but frame to frame i fell in love, the music, the acting, the visuals, its like watching talent from a different perspective, i almost felt like this was footage from the golden age of film, until i see john goodman and james cromwell, then i was brought back down to earth, and even more perplexed, that someone could capture the very essence of "Chaplin", and "Keaton" the fathers of silent film, and to bring the storyline, of the struggle, these silent actors had, with the coming of sound film, was genius, and i know we have seen it before, but this was deeper and more nostalgic, amazing. i wanna thank you Michel Hazanavicius, for making this flawless film, and taking me on a jouney that blew my mind and spirit. i loved it a thousand times over.

THE WEEKND

2012-01-17T09:36:00.000-08:00

I have recently been listening to "the weeknd" more just because the sound is infectious, and im sickly in LOVE with "Echoes Of Silence" especially "INITIATION" production-wise, it is put together flawlessly in my eyes. bravo/kudos, keep it up, my ears are horny for you.

Abel Tesfaye (born February 16, 1990), better known by his stage name The Weeknd (pronounced weakened), is a Canadian recording artist and record producer of Ethiopian descent. Songs recorded under The Weeknd name first leaked in late 2010, though the identity of the individual behind the project was initially unknown. The Weeknd released a nine-song free album, House of Balloons, on 21 March 2011. This album is a part of a trilogy which includes Thursday, released on 18 August 2011, and Echoes of Silence, released on 21 December 2011. The song "High for This" was featured in the promo for the final season of the HBO show Entourage On June 16, 2011, House of Balloons was named as a longlisted nominee for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize. On July 6, the album was named as one of ten shortlisted nominees but eventually lost to Arcade Fire's The Suburbs. On December 21, 2011 at 11:07 p.m. EST Tesfaye released his highly anticipated third album Echoes of Silence. The Weeknd's site crashed shortly after due to the large number of downloads. The Weeknd quickly provided a Hulkshare link to keep the album available while the official site was down.

Since hitting the scene, The Weeknd has received praise from a number of musical publications, including those of MTV, BET, Rolling Stone, XXL, The Source and 2DopeBoyz, who have all dubbed him the "Songbird of his Generation", as well as the "best musical talent since Michael Jackson" (John Norris, MTV).

A Glimpse At Blue Ivy Life

2012-01-11T09:01:00.000-08:00

What do you buy for the baby whose parents have everything?

If you are Blue Ivy Carter, a.k.a. the newborn daughter of a superstar rapper and singer, not only are you liable to receive cool gifts, but they are probably going to come from some pretty high profile folks.

While her dad, Jay-Z, has already composed a song for (and featuring) her, the newborn also reportedly received some presents from some of her parents' celebrity friends. Auntie O (that's Oprah Winfrey for those not in the know) supposedly purchased a trunk full of children's books, according to The Insider. Given her love of the written word – what with her book club and offering Jay-Z's book "Decoded" as one of her "favorite things" – it's no surprise.

Meanwhile, mommy's former group mate and BFF Kelly Rowland is said to have gone a more fashionable route.

According to People magazine, Rowland stopped by an upscale boutique to snag a onesie featuring a drawing of Bob Marley for B.I.C.

The green, long-sleeved onesie was reportedly purchased from an upscale New York City kids boutique, Lucky Wang. Entertainment Weekly also reported that the former Destiny's Child member has gifted the couple a $5,200 Swarovski crystal baby bathtub for the little darling.

The new parents reportedly took their bundle of joy home early Tuesday morning

MORE BRUCE!

2012-01-11T08:49:00.000-08:00

Nine years after Bruce Almighty, Universal is plotting a second coming. (Or technically a third.) EW has confirmed a Varietyreport that the studio has plans to reunite Jim Carrey with the Yes Man writers (Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel) for a new chapter in the life of the newscaster who is handed God’s powers and responsibilities after complaining about the big man’s negligence. The 2003 film, which co-starred Morgan Freeman as God, Jennifer Aniston as Bruce’s girlfriend, and Steve Carell as his hated rival, grossed more than $484 million worldwide, making it Carrey’s biggest hit. This wouldn’t be the first Bruce sequel; Evan Almighty attempted to hand the reins over to Carell’s character, but that expensive, effects-heavy 2007 film underperformed and barely grossed $100 million.

SKYLANDERS: The Next Pokemon

2011-12-07T09:19:00.000-08:00

So, i was at Target yesterday, just kinda playing around, looking for a movie, something to entertain me on my day off, aimlessly wondering around in the electronics area, when i get to an isle with these little action figures, what is this? i was drawn to this character that looks like a tree, then i see this glowing pad in front of a t.v. monitor, and it says place character to view, so i plop the toy on the pad, and it shows the little guy fighting in what looks like a video game, then i realize that this glowing rock thing is part of a video game you can take home! and that its this collectible game where you collect these toys and each one has different powers and abilities and its called "SKYLANDERS" I'm in love instantly, In Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, players take on the role of a Portal Master who can control over 32 different characters, including, but not limited to, Spyro. Players embark on a journey into a world where they will explore lands, battle creatures, collect gold and treasures, and solve puzzles while on a quest to save their world from Kaos, an evil Portal Master, who they must defeat. The video game comes with 3 action figures and a peripheral called the "Portal of Power", which connects to the player's console of choice. Each action figure represents one of 37 playable characters, including Spyro, each with unique abilities. The playable characters become unlocked when their corresponding action figures are placed on the Portal of Power. Players can also place one of these special action figures on the Portal of Power of a friend's console (even if it is not the same type of console), and the character's amassed scores, level-ups and achievements are instantly imported for the gameplay session. Additionally, two figures can be placed on the portal simultaneously, for cooperative or versus play.

Characters each have a primary attack, and a secondary attack. They gain experience points by defeating monsters, and leveling up will result in the possibility of getting upgrades. Each character has its own special abilities that differ from each other, as well as assigned elements. This provides some replayability, as each character faces the world in different ways. Although the game only comes with Spyro, Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy, players can purchase the remaining 34 action figures separately, if they so choose.

I currently have 8 of the 32, and i definitely need one from each element, so I'm def going back when i have some spending money and expanding my crew.

RIHANNA- TALK THAT TALK REVIEW

2011-11-21T11:02:00.000-08:00

Today Marks The Release of Rihanna's 6th studio album "TALK THAT TALK" It Opens with "You Da One" Im a big fan of this song, only because it feels like the perfect mash-up of my two favorite RiRi tracks, "Rude Boy", and "Whats My Name", It's cute, fun, light, and of course when you hear it you just wanna feel that for someone, and if you are seeing someone lol watch out! this track has potential to develop a fatal attraction, i dig this track alot. The Next Track Is "Where Have You Been" this acoustic Trance track, is gonna be her third single no doubt, Dr. Luke, i bow down to your vision of a track, its amazing! this track on the breakdown is so fun to just lose yourself in. LOVE. which bleeds into "WE FOUND LOVE" This is still my favorite track on the album, it means alot to me, to me its about wanting love so badly that you just go with the flow, for me love really is a drug, i wanna live in that great moment, and i let it blind me for the time being. the track is so bittersweet, its almost painful to listen to, but like love, i want to experience it over and over. "TALK THAT TALK feat JAY-Z" is the next track, its like an "Umbrella" reunion" this track samples the NOTORIOUS B.I.G.'s "i gotta story to tell" this is a track that sounds like it would have been on "Rated R" I'm a fan, it seems a little out of place on the album, but I'm still feeling the final cut of the album picks. "COCKINESS" is up next and lemme tell ya its all about the word usage, "Suck My Cockiness, Lick My Persuasion" lmfao "I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT WHEN YOU EAT IT" this is a great dance hall beat, show ur colors gurl! I'm down for this song any day. it makes me happy like a clam. and what girl is not gonna bump this beat, fuck just girls! men you know you like it too :) "BIRTHDAY CAKE" not long but short n sweet, so technically, its NOT "Big Enough" but it can be my rude boy. and I'm a fan of, CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE. and being someones BITCH! "WE ALL WANT LOVE" I'm seriously in love with this song, i feel like a wrote this song, i have a song with similar lyrics, and when i heard this, i just smile, cause i think this is a vulnerable song to write, or let alone sing and make it yours. great track, next is "DRUNK ON LOVE" again, a bayley track, first off she samples a track that, we'll speaks to me, so I'm thankful, and then just puts it all in the speaker with the best lyrics, i wear my heart on my sleeve too! damn! is she speaking to me? "ROC ME OUT" this dance guilty pleasure is great, who hasn't been drunk and feelin like a little slut on the dance floor, i love it. "WATCH N' LEARN" is my second favorite track, yeah i know its about a girl gettin eaten out, lol but a boy can dream, "FAREWELL" the song about letting go, i love this song for presenting a situation that actually happens, its a great song, and i know this will be a single. tears for days!!!!! wah! ******* BONUS TRACKS******* "RED LIPSTICK, this song is the motha fuckin BOMB!!!!! i heard this and i was instantly in love, dub-step heavy, and sexy metal, yessir!! i will have sex to this song. bring it! "Do Ya Thang" this song is all about being comfortable with the guy ur with, knowing that love is there and not trippin off the small shit, you and ur boo are true blue! that's the direction of this track, and i love it. "FOOL IN LOVE" great ballad, and vocals are insane, she even does a BEYONCE run!!! lol this is what Britney was going for in 'criminal" worst single of the year BTW.

DRAKE: TAKE CARE REVIEW

2011-11-15T07:51:00.000-08:00

So Drake Has Done it again, this mother fuckin Canadian, has blown it out the water! Jay-Z and Kanye, better watch the throne, because i think Drake is stealing album of the year this time around. the tracks are fresh, the samples, are fun, and the lyrics are relatable.

The Album Opens with "OVER MY DEAD BODY" a little bragging rights song, perfectly constructed, with a beautiful melody, and ambient flow, i heart this track, the track bleeds into the next "SHOT FOR ME" which is my favorite, only because if i was famous, i would wanna haunt someone like Drake does in this track. rarely do i relate with rap artists, not that i don't understand, but its just they are living a life so alien to me i just nod my head and bounce to the beat, i ain't no baller! but Drake raps about shit that people and young adults have gone through. hits home. the next track is the Famous "HEADLINES" this already on the airwaves hit, has a sick ass beat, beginning to end, a fat flow, and not one guest artist. "CREW LOVE feat. THE WEEKEND" is up next and might i say DAAAAAAAAAAAMN! this is a sick composition. the vocals steal my heart and soul on this one. "they lovin the crew!" the second half of this song develops the best relaxing beat and switch. I'm in love. The Next track "TAKE CARE feat. RIHANNA" is one of those songs that slapped me in the face with realism, i have been through every second of this song, and recently too. i love love love this track. "I've loved and I've lost" "MARVIN'S ROOM" is the next track, and who doesn't relate to the feeling of hatred toward your ex's rebound, its painfully awkward, only because he captures a feeling that many of us have had at one point. its an essential song. I'm down, i love it, I'm fallin in love deeper listening to this album all over again. "BURIED ALIVE INTERLUDE" is a sick sick sick flow, if you wanna hear some great Drake Shit, this is it! i was stopped in my damn tracks! its off and weird, and eerie, and i just love it, my second fave track on this album. sad it so short!!!!! "UNDERGROUND KINGS" great beat great track, a instant great hit. "WE'LL BE FINE" i love this beat alot, Drakes shit is hawt! but i have never been a huge birdman fan, the flow about nicki and fame it catchy. birdman should say Nigga more lol. "MAKE ME PROUD" is probably the most Pop-like song on the album, the fourth song i ever heard, but oddly one of my least favorites now, its great but in comparison to the rest its def bottom three, Nicki can never do wrong, and the beat is sexy and simplistic. "LORD KNOWS feat. RICK ROSS" this one sounds like a "Watch The Throne" knock off lol i skipped it, bored to death. , "Look Like"CAMERAS/GOOD ONES GO INTERLUDE" this is a great song to me We're in LOVE, But Only On Camera" "DOIN IT WRONG" a great heartbreaking song, just raw and real, and again I Connect Wonder is epic, ugh this track breaks my heart :( wah! "THE REAL HER" is up next i dig this track, nothing amazing just a good listen. WEEZY good rap! you saved the track in my eyes. but wait! what? huh? ANDRE 3000? oh hell yes! his verse is BOMB.COM he has risen!!!!!! love it best guest spot on this album, hands down! "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE" I love the lounge sound of this song, make the setting real, i wanna picture Drake sittin at a piano singing and people just drinking champagne. to me channeled ANDRE 3000 on this track, his flow is very sophisticated and poignant. "HYFR (HELL YA FUCKIN RIGHT) feat LIL WAYNE" I know this is gonna be a big favorite only because "Weezy" is on it, but i think there are way better singles on this album. but we shall see, i think this Drake album has a alot of gas to make this a long race. "PRACTICE" is a fuckin great sample, rarely do i feel like someone can improve an original view of a song........Drake has done it. he took Juvenile's track "Back That Ass Up" and made it faaaaantastic. "THE RIDE" follows and its old school hooks and classic. "THE MOTTO feat LIL WAYNE" eh. "I HATE SLEEPING ALONE" great ending to this future epic platinum album. DRAKE thank you! i enjoyed every bit of this masterpiece, NOV 15th 2011.

my faves: SHOT FOR ME
BURIED ALIVE INTERLUDE
CREW LOVE
OVER MY DEAD BODY

HAROLD & KUMAR

2011-11-04T07:57:00.001-07:00

Dreaming of a white Christmas? Then you're in for a rude awakening.

The only thing white about this riotously multiethnic black comedy is the blizzard of cocaine that flies through the air as Bing Crosby croons his yuletide standard at an out of control Christmas Eve party.

If I said the latest sortie from cultural subversives Harold Lee (John Cho) and Kumar Patel (Kal Penn) has something to offend everyone, I'd probably be over-estimating the sensitivities of at least some of the 17.4 million Americans who are estimated to use marijuana at least once a month.

Still, I imagine that the running gag about an infant inadvertently exposed to pot, coke and ecstasy might strike some people as pretty near the knuckle. Others will choke when the always game Neil Patrick Harris -- playing himself -- explains his miraculous resurrection with reference to a run-in with Jesus, who didn't take kindly to Harris making out with His groupies.

Then there are the gags -- good, bad and indifferent - that deliberately play up ethnic stereotypes: jailbird Latinos, gangsta African-Americans, tight-fisted Jews, bloodthirsty Slavs, square and boring WASPS. The subtler joke being that Harold and Kumar's own ethnicity is invisible -- except to the occasional bigots they encounter. ("Sorry, I don't date black guys," says the Ukrainian virgin, Mary, as she rejects Kumar in favor of Korean-American Harold.)

You want a plot? It's set six years after the boys escaped from Guantanamo. Harold is now a successful Wall Street executive, married, clean and sober. He's washed his hands of Kumar, who's still a bonafide pothead and no further along in life than he ever was. But the ex-best friends are reunited in a typically quixotic quest to get their hands on a 12-foot Christmas tree before Midnight Mass comes out.

Maybe the movie does pander to a certain slacker sexism -- but even that's tempered by an eye-watering item when one of the boys gets stuck to an icy pole, "A Christmas Story"-style (only it's not his tongue that's stuck). That's male bonding of an especially painful kind -- and marks the natural culmination for a buddy dynamic that's deeply engrained in our movies, from Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, Hope and Crosby, Martin and Lewis, Cheech and Chong, and Bill and Ted all the way to "Dumb & Dumber." It's a tradition that Cho and Penn sustain with as much charm as circumstances allow.

In a week when a French satirical magazine was firebombed for publishing an issue guest-edited by the prophet Mohammed (or so they claimed), there is definitely something to be said for a movie that takes a blowtorch to political correctness and even puts a bullet in the head of old Saint Nick. By offending everyone, the theory goes, no one needs be offended.

It's a patchy affair, these things almost always are, but a commendably trim 90-minute running time keeps things hopping. The film hits an early high with a series of inspired gags breaking the fourth wall to poke fun at its own 3D gimmickry.

Director Todd Strauss-Schulson throws in a horrific claymation fantasy, doffs his cap at Busby Berkeley and shoots an egg-throwing sequence as if he's John Woo, just because he can. The yolks on us, I guess. At regular intervals he sends clouds of pot wafting towards the audience. You don't need to be an expert in

Jersey Shore Ending??

2011-11-03T09:21:00.001-07:00

Snooki: I won't be broke like the Situation

There’s no word yet on when/where another season of MTV’s hit series will film, but Snooki isn’t worried. The self-proclaimed meatball has been saving all her money so she can support herself after the show is off the air.

“‘Jersey Shore’ is going to end soon,” Snooki told GQ. “I’m not going to spend money like Mike. He’s already broke.”

And though season 5 will most likely follow “Shore’s” surefire format, Snooks said she would do things a little differently if she were in charge.

“I wouldn't show as much drinking and partying,” she said. “I would show more of us chilling out and having a good time. … They don't show anything but us drinking and hooking up.”

“I think that if they showed the sober side of us, people would like it even more and it'd even change people's minds about us,” she added.

Snooki, who has one best-selling novel under her belt and another work of fiction on the way, also informed GQ that she's not really into reading.

"I don't read. I don't like to read 'Harry Potter' or anything like that. It's not my style."

When GQ pointed out that she's a New York Times best-selling author, Snooki responds that "doesn't mean I have to read."

For those fans who want to relive season 4, the four-disc set, which includes all 12 uncensored episodes, as well as bonus footage, will be available in stores on December 27. And if you’re experiencing GTL withdrawals with “Jersey Shore” on hiatus, fear not - your favorite fist-pumpers will be back before you know it.

Home from Italy, the gang reunites in Seaside Heights for “Shore’s” fifth season, which will air on January 5.

What we know so far: Vinny took a break from filming at the start of the season to “recharge his batteries.” But we’ll have to wait until 2012 to see the rest of the drama unfold. Well, at least the drama that's not included in this 3 minute sneak peek.

New Girl Splits WIth "Cutie"

2011-11-02T11:22:00.000-07:00

Two years after tying the knot, actress/singer Zooey Deschanel and musician Ben Gibbard are going their separate ways. A rep for Gibbard, frontman for the band Death Cab for Cutie, confirmed the split to CNN.

An unnamed source tells Us Weekly that the split was amicable and mutual, and wasn't caused by a third party.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the pair met through a mutual manager three years ago (Zooey's also in a band of her own: She & Him). The two wed near Seattle in 2009 after Gibbard proposed to Deschanel with a three carat diamond and platinum ring, People magazine reports.

In a recent interview with iVillage, Deschanel opened up about her relationship with Gibbard, reiterating that marriage takes work.

"The most surprising thing is that it's not really different," she said in the July, 2011 interview. "You still have to make a commitment and think about that commitment every day. It's not like you get married and then all the work is done for you. You get married and you're still in a relationship and you're still doing your best to make it the best relationship you can...You still have to make the effort and be kind and understanding."

Professionally, Deschanel is staying plenty busy: Her Fox show "New Girl" has been a success and was picked up for a full season earlier in the fall, and she just released her Christmas album, "A Very She & Him Christmas."

BABBLE AND THE BROKEN HEART

2011-10-16T08:16:00.000-07:00

A broken heart (or heartbreak) is a common metaphor used to describe the intense emotional pain or suffering one feels after losing a loved one, through death, divorce, breakup, moving, being rejected, or other means.

Heartbreak is usually associated with losing a family member or spouse, though losing a parent, child, pet, or close friend can also "break one's heart". The phrase refers to the physical pain one may feel in the chest as a result of the loss. Although "heartbreak" is usually a metaphor, there is a condition known as "broken heart syndrome", where a traumatizing incident triggers the brain to distribute chemicals that weaken heart tissue.

Recently i was in a relationship, one that i thought would most likely be my last, or in my case, one i hoped would be my last, you know when you collect all the past relationships, and you self evaluate, and you try your hardest to change the petty and ridiculous things you did? that's what i had done, a full makeover, and changed the way i was, be a new me, TRY, WORK HARD, don't be Lazy with this one, that's what i wanted to do, "make it work" but i found that i was the only one trying in time, yeah i had an amazing time, yeah i was happy when i was around them, but it was the energy and time they were putting forward that was weak. you cant be with someone for five months, and set them on the back burner, you cant expect that pot to simmer, it eventually boils over, or simmers out, you cant make a schedule for what is suppose to take it's natural course, no one wants to feel like they are on a scheduled routine, now i don't wanna point fingers, that's not what I'm about, but i do wanna say, be a team with whoever you are with, don't let one do all the work, while the other reaps the benefits, a text message, a phone call, a visit, goes a long way, to make someone feel loved, and wanted, and all though my heart hurts right now, I'm a bog boy, and that will heal in time, i just thought id open the eyes for a few, be a love super hero, because i do truly believe in LOVE.

PITBULL Vs. LOHAN

2011-09-27T01:30:00.000-07:00

Pitbull has responded to a lawsuit filed by Lindsay Lohan, who claims that the rapper disparaged her name in his recent hit "Give Me Everything." In a statement on his official website, the Miami rapper says that the line in question – "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan" – was not meant to be taken so harshly. "When I mention Lindsay Lohan in the record it’s really a positive message,” he wrote. "When I say I got it locked up, if you play at the park, if you from the neighborhood, when they say you got it locked up, that means you run that area."

"I was very surprised when I found out about the lawsuit," says Pitbull. "To me it was very ironic, to be honest with you. At first I read it and I thought, ‘It’s gotta be a joke.’ [But] come to find out that’s it’s very realistic."

Lohan's lawsuit asserts that Pitbull's lyrics have caused her "irreparable harm." The rapper insists that he did not mean to hurt her career, and has invited Lohan to appear with him on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday when he performs the tune with Ne-Yo.

BLINK 182- Neighborhoods

2011-09-26T23:28:00.000-07:00

So I have finally picked up the new Blink 182 album, so so so so so excited for the return of one of my favorite bands, its been 7 years since the last new album from them. and now, i can rock out to Tom, Mark, and Travis, once again. i must say i was nervous with the not so amazing first single UP ALL NIGHT, i just wasn't taken by the song, but then i sampled some leaked tracks and was BLOWN AWAY!!!!!. so here is my Babble Review!

So The Album starts off with a killers meets boxcar racer into, kinda like "Im Fellin It" the first Track GHOST ON THE DANCE FLOOR is a good way to start off the album, its mellow, and very BLINK like. great drum beats from Travis Barker like always. NATIVES track 2 on the album, kicks up with a galloping drum beat, this is one of my favorites so far, it makes me smile and just brings me back, it has a Cheshire Cat feel, and that's an amazing sound to reach, when you have come so far from the beginning. this song is already treasured by me. UP ALL NIGHT is track 3 and yadda yadda yadda it just doesn't have that catchy sound to me, never grasped me, so I'm putting this one in the pass pile. but its worth listening to. AFTER MIDNIGHT follows, this song is great with the structure, I'm a fan with the first line "I cant get my feet up off the edge, i kinda like the little rush ya get, when ur standing close to death" in love!!!! tom's voice doesn't bug the shit out of me on this album either, maybe cause i missed him lol. SNAKE CHARMER is an excellent song, very different for this band, and yet i am intrigued with every second. the next song is the interlude HEART'S ALL GONE followed by HEARTS ALL GONE, this is another song that takes me back, this time to Buddha, loved that album. very fast and more punk than they have pulled out in a while, i dig this track immensely. WISHING WELL follows and i must say, another great song. Tom fronts yet another song, and does it with his classic poppy da da da da! lyrics, this track sounds like a secret track that would have gone on "take off your pants and jacket" good song. KALEIDOSCOPE is one of my faves, only cause I'm a sucker for Mark Hoppus and +44 so it steals my heart from the moment he speaks. THIS IS HOME is very killers to me, i like it, I'm actually just having a great time with this album, it really just makes me feel 18 again, and puts me in my jeep wrangler with my tape deck, MH 4.18.2011 is the next track, its a mellow version of Rock Show, the adult version if you will. LOVE IS DANGEROUS is a nice little rock tunes, very sexy and sleek, great collaboration with the voices on this track. FIGHTING THE GRAVITY is my other favorite on the album, it just speaks to me. love love love this song. LOVE!!!!! is eerie and creepy, and just perfect. i hope this is a single. amazeballz. EVEN IF SHE FALLS is a cute song, not my favorite but good. very BOXCAR RACER.

Potter Is Blind To The Dark Side

2011-09-22T08:04:00.000-07:00

As the star of a wildly popular film franchise, you’d think Daniel Radcliffe would be well-versed in pop culture phenomenons. But as it turns out, Harry Potter himself hasn’t seen “Star Wars”!

In an interview with Moviefone, Radcliffe reveals that he’s never seen the 1977 space opera. “Yeah, I know. It’s really bad,” he says of the gap in his film knowledge.

The 22-year-old actor explains, “I saw 'The Phantom Menace,' and everyone's like, ‘You saw that one! You didn't see the originals?!’ I know! I was ten! I didn't know any better!”

But despite never having seen the films – of which Radcliffe says, “I'm sure they're amazing and incredible” – the actor does have a criticism. “I think there is a slightly more balanced split between the sexes in the fan base of 'Potter,'” Radcliffe postulates. “I associate 'Star Wars' as being a predominantly male thing. And I think 'Potter' is split more evenly.”

He also notes that “because 'Potter' started out as a book, it's created a generation of literary nerds in a way that 'Star Wars' perhaps didn't.”

Despite the differences, Radcliffe says he sees where the comparison comes from. “I do think of 'Potter' as being this generation's 'Star Wars,'" the actor says. "It's something that an entire generation has lost themselves in and it's a meticulously created, detailed world.”

And Radcliffe loves the major thing that “Star Wars” and “Harry Potter” have in common: nerds. “Nerds are the best things in the world,” he says, “I think of myself as a nerd.”

And this nerd won’t be a “Star Wars” virgin for long – someone is getting him the new Blu-rays.

“I know that I would love them because I'm a geek,” he says, “so I would definitely get into them.”
