Description and Desired Qualifications
Key Accountabilities:

Reports to Field Health & Safety Manager
Assist in the delivery of the Policy, H&S management systems, and standards and ensure that they are implemented throughout the construction of Al Bustan II project.
Co-ordinate all H&S matters by receiving regular reports from contractors, making H&S visits, and ensuring that information is circulated to keep all concerned fully informed.
Verify compliance with the requirements of H&S Program and applicable contractor health and safety plan(s) and any federal, state, and local regulations
All matters relative to the prevention of accidents, actual incidents and matters relating to general Safety performance are communicated to Field H&S Manager
Ensure that all accident, incident and near miss reports and records are prepared and reports distribute in Al Bustan project.
Compile monthly report with statistical analysis on accidents and causation classification, with recommendations on preventative measures to be implemented.
Ensure that lead contractors are audited
Carry out H&S inspections and ensure non-conformances are closed out.
Carry out H&S training, Monitor the provision of health and safety training and advice on training requirements.
Respond to emergency situations
Represent CH2MOLAYAN in meetings and workshops
Conducting HS&E orientation.
Act as the project “Hazard Communication Coordinator”
Act as the project “Emergency Response Coordinator”
Verify that safety meetings are conducted and documented in the project file as needed throughout the course of the project (e.g., as tasks or hazards change)
Verify that project health and safety forms and permits are being used as outlined in the site-specific safety plan
Perform assessments of contractor HS&E practices per the site-specific safety plan. Provide weekly HS&E project reports to the Field Health and Safety Manager.
Coordinate with the Field HS&E manager regarding CH2M OLAYAN and subcontractor operational performance, and third party interfaces
Verify appropriate PPE use, availability, and training
Conduct safety briefings for CH2M OLAYAN team members and subcontractor supervisors
Notify HSM of injuries and follow up on injured employee’s progress
Conduct accident investigations including root cause analysis
Maintain HS&E records and documentation
Deliver field HS&E training as needed based on project-specific hazards and activities
Ensure that programs are effectively functioning to prevent and control hazards on the project
Basic Qualifications

Our qualified safety coordinator must have:
Recognized safety qualifications NEBOSH general certificate level or equivalent. Working in H&S field with minimum 7 years hands on experience on construction.
Preferable being on client/consultant side working with large number of contractors.
Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
Fluent in English (writing and speaking) and computer literate.
Experience in construction of residential building, commercial buildings, office, retail, hotels and maintenance facilities.
Preference for candidates currently working in Saudi and has a got a transferable “Iqama”.

The Candidate
