Alhamdulillah, Bayyinah Institute and Qalam Institute are pleased to announce a new collaborative effort.

Bayyinah Institute is well recognized for its high quality instruction in Arabic and Quranic studies. Qalam Institute has focused on tackling Islamic issues affecting individuals, families, and communities from with a relevant and practical approach.

Simply put: We all know that Islam contains the solution to whatever issues we face. We hope that working together, this collaboration equips as many people as possible with the tools to learn the religion, and the direction to implement it in a way that the religion is a positive and practical source of coming closer to Allah

Every now and then I feel compelled to share some updates with you personally about the direction our organization is taking. I also treasure these opportunities because they allow me to solicit your sincere prayers for our efforts, something all of us at Bayyinah genuinely treasure. I’m extremely grateful and proud for the launch of our second year at the Dream program, the student batch for which is truly awesome. I am really enjoying their daily company on campus and I hope the feeling is mutual. Pray along with us for their success in the program. We ask Allah that He also accept their sacrifice, time away from family, friends, studies and career and inject His special blessings in every second of their time while on this incredible journey with us.

This year has also been an incredible success because of the launch and unprecedented success of Qur’an Intensive by Shaikh AbdulNasir Jangda. I myself am really pleased that we finally have a top notch summer Arabic offering that fuses with it Qur’anic studies, something that all of you know is a tradition at Bayyinah.

The Ramadhan Intensive has also been announced on our site for next year. I hope to offer a flowing and coherent translation of the glorious Qur’an to the best of my ability this coming Ramadhan at that intensive. The attempt will be to highlight some of what is lost in translation in terms of beauty, subtlety and insight. I personally truly felt connected to the Qur’an for the first time when I heard as opposed to read it in translation. It was like I was introduced to the book as a conversation rather than a text. I hope to recreate that effort insha Allah.

Finally, we’ve been cooking up some pretty big plans to make some of our best offerings available online. I can’t share too much yet but (not being gimmicky here) I really do believe it will revolutionize Arabic and Qur’an studies for many people all over the world. Exciting stuff is on the horizon and I hope you all are going to a part of it and will play a role in spreading the word about it.

My sincere thanks to all of you for supporting us with your attendances and prayers. My sincere apologize to the numerous communities I haven’t had a chance to visit for a while and to those new communities that have requested visits and are still in the pipeline. I am really looking forward to meeting you all in person insha Allah.
