Here's a look at the "Suns" Air Penny V, featuring a dark grey Hyperfuse upper with purple and orange accenting throughout. 1CENT logos adorn the tongue and heel of the shoe, while pinstripe detailing on the backside of the inner bootie is a nod to the Air Penny 1. The list of Air Jordans that have yet to receive the retro treatment is a short one, and you can scratch off another original this June when the "Obsidian" Air Jordan 12 makes its first return to retail. Originally released in February of 1997, this classic features an obsidian tumbled leather upper with white laces and textured leather mudguard overlays. French Blue lines the interior, while University Blue is used for embroidery on the tongue and additional details on the heel. Finishing off the look below is a predominantly white outsole with obsidian tread.

After a 15-year hiatus, the "Obsidian" 12 will return to stores in its true mid-cut form on Saturday, June 23.

AIR JORDAN 4 MILITARY BLUE RELEASE JUNE 9 AT BB BRANDED

The Military Blue Air Jordan IV has been on the Holy Grail list of many collectors over the years. The Air Jordan IV was, and is still, a very popular model of the Air Jordans. Though Michael Jordan never wore the Military Blue Jordan IV on the court, they are on of the most sought after pairs of Jordans ever. Since the Military Blue Air Jordan IV’s have not been released since the summer of 1989, finding a pair is next to impossible and you can only imagine how hard it is to find a deadstock pair.

It seems like every other month there were posts on sneakerhead message boards talking about the rumors of the second coming of the Jordan 4 Military Blue. Nike gave Jordan collectors a good taste of the Air Jordan 4′s in 1999 when they brought back the shoes 10 years after their initial release. Many were hoping to see the Military Blues then, but unfortunately for many that did not happen. Now, 17 years after the initial release of the Jordan 4 Military Blue’s, they will be coming back.

In 2005, Jordan released the Jordan 4 Fire Red’s which are another classic favorite of the Air Jordan line. When the news broke, immediately collectors were wondering if the Military Blue Jordan 4′s would be coming back too. Jordan released more and more Jordan 4′s in the year following the Laser Fire Red Jordan 4 and thankfully, the Military Blue Jordan 4′s are included in that list!

The retro Jordan IV Military Blue is very similar to the original. In fact, the only difference is that where the “Nike Air” logo was on the original Military Blues, the Jumpman logo is now in its place. The first samples of the Military Blue Jordan IV (as well as the Fire Red) had suede “wings.” The “wings” on the Jordan IV are the pieces that hold the upper lace loops. On the original Jordan IV the “wings” were made of TPU (plastic). The past retro Jordan IVs have had either leather or suede “wings” which was not to the appeal of collectors. Thankfully, its appears Nike/Jordan Brand read the message boards and realized the overwhelming demand for ones with plastic “wings.”

The release of the Military Blue Jordan 4 will be one of the biggest yet. Among the lucky few collectors who actually own a pair of the original Military Blue Jordan 4′s, the most they have gotten to appreciate the shoes is by looking at them or showing them to their friends. There are less than a handful of wearable original pairs due to the age of the midsoles. This will be a huge day when they release.

Jordans and Nikes have become exceedingly popular over the last few years, and while there exists a select group in the population that persists in believing that it still is a ‘sub-culture’,sneakers have become the culture – perhaps the defining fashion phenomenon of this generation. Kim Kardashian rocking the Cements IIIs is a perfect example that Jordans have become a ‘hot’ item, but that shouldn’t take away from your own individual relationship with sneakers (and why should another person wearing your favorite kicks have any affect on you?). And while it’s no mystery that copping sneakers isn’t what it once was (even Nike is taking measures to alter the horizon), not every release is an instant sell-out.
This Saturday's release of the Air jordan XI low might fall in that category for a number of reasons; it’s not an original colorway (albeit still a Bulls get-up), there are other desirable releases month, and some still can’t mess with Lows. However anything with patent leather seems to sell like hotcakes, and with Michael himself rocking some PE varieties of the low-top Air Jordan XI, the excitement for these could be underestimated. In any case, the choice is yours come Saturday, as these will likely fall under Nike’s ‘Twitter RSVP’ procedure and won’t hit Nikestore until 8 AM. So, are you on the fence on these? Rumor: Air Jordan 11 “Playoffs” Releasing in December 2012

There is one month everyone looks forward to in regards to Jordan releases and that is December. Although we have heard speculation of the Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” releasing this December, we are now hearing that the Air Jordan 11 “Playoffs” will release later this year instead. Following the rumor we posted about the Air Jordan 11 “Playoff, there is also a strong possibility of the Air Jordan 9 coming out of retirement. WINDSOR - Ayad and Imad Saddy opened their sliver of a store in Windsor's downtown just as most other retailers were abandoning it.

Their Ouellette Avenue men's clothing store has survived eight years and even expanded in the midst of the recession.

BB Branded, which carries top brands and designer labels, first opened its doors in 2004 as a six-foot wide sliver on the block.

The store grew to 2,600 square feet in 2009 when Ayad, 28, and Imad, 30, bought the adjacent building previously owned by IQ Clothing Co.

"We believe in making people happy. Our customer service is the most important thing to us - our clients being 100 per cent happy," Ayad offered as one of the reasons his business has prevailed. "And the quality of the product itself, too."

You won't find the same shoes on Footlocker or SportChek shelves, Ayad said. "BB Branded is the store for people who are looking for something different."

It was the brothers' determination and yearlong wait that landed them an exclusive deal with Nike five years ago.

The account gives BB Branded territorial rights that prevent stores within the region from carrying the same Nike specialty products.

It also means BB Branded is the only store in Windsor to receive a pair of the limited edition Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy shoes. They are selling for as much as $10,027 on eBay and sending throngs of waiting customers out of control.

Florida police dressed in riot gear were forced to break up unruly shoppers Thursday who were waiting to purchase the sneakers from an Orlando Foot Locker, according to a CBS report.

The Saddy brothers are giving out raffle tickets to customers who purchase any Nike or Jordan shoes until Monday.

The winner will then be able to purchase the size 10½ size sneakers with glow in the dark soles for $279.

"I hope it goes to someone who truly loves shoes," said the store's shoeblogging expert, Tony Oliverio, 31.

When Oliverio is not busy matching shoes to feet, he blogs on behalf of the store about his passion - sneakers.

Ayad said social media helps reach customers outside of the city and has advanced business.

"But the Nike account is what really gave us a boost," Ayad said.

Landing the account had a domino effect and brought in big names like Supra, Adidas, New Era and Converse, he said.

With the brand names came the customers. Ayad said he often meets shoppers from the United States and some as far as Toronto.

"The American dollar hit us hard and the construction hit us harder," Ayad said about major streetscaping and roadwork on Ouellette three years ago. "Since then business has increased."

Imad said he and his brother learned the basics of running a business from their father Radhi, 55, who owned a jewelry shop in Iraq where they grew up.

"I learned a lot from my dad," Imad said. "He taught us how to run a business and to have a good work ethic."

"I guess you can say that we're proud that we made it, but we owe it to the locals that supported us," Ayad said.

The winning name for the limited edition shoes will be drawn at the store Monday at 6 p.m. For more information go to bbbranded.com.
