Do you still have the original welcome registration email from when you created your BlackBerry ID?

Do you know if this is a email address that is configured for POP being accessed from a mail client? If so, the mail client may be deleting copies of the messages from the mail server and removing them from the BlackBerry.

Hello rishiserai,

Can you please walk me through the method you are using to perform this function in BBM? You should be able to do this by opening the BBM conversation with a user then touching the message you would like to copy. You cannot copy an entire conversation at once.

Hello Lacarpe,

There is a limit to the number of characters that can be entered within a contact. This can not be increased currently.

As a test, you may want to create several new test contacts that include on basic contact information, save them, then perform a search to see if they are located.

This would determine whether or not this issue with the affected contacts that you mentioned above.

In the two cases, I have no result when I search something which is not in the 4 lines at the head of a contact : Title (Mr, Mrs, Miss), First name, Name, Society..

An idea appears to me just now : It is the custom with me to use the contacts as notes : Y have many "contacts" (they are 4000) which are not persons or society, and some contacts have long details (I take this habit since a long time with my Palm, Personal Digital Assistant, and now it would be a very hard and long work to change this). This idea is that the big number of bits, of characters, inside my contacts could be the reason of my disfunctioning.

I have an other problem, may be similar : the number of characters in a contact is limited (too much for me).

I find this kind of problems very curious when comparing it with the flood of bits in a video.

Thanks for your reply. Are you saying that this is a problem with the trackpad on all Blackberry 9900's? And due to this issue the phone is unusable outdoors? There is also no fix for it? Blackberry conveniently fails to mention this problem when their selling it at high prices to customers.

In your BBM Contact list, hold your finger on the contact you wish to remove. On the bottom right side, there will be a Delete trashcan icon

Sorry to hear you're having an issue resetting your BlackBerry ID password.

If you cannot recall the answer to your security question, you will not be able to reset the password as this is required.

Using another email account, you will need to create a new BlackBerry ID account and create a new security question to which you will be able to recall the answer should you need to reset your password in the future.
