You can earn valuable BBX reward points in a number of ways.

You can earn rewards for...
1. Every sale you make, calculated on dollar value* (Exclusions apply such as Real Estate).
2. "On-time" payment of monthly fees.
3. Joining as a member*.
4. Expo/Trade Night attendance.
5. Licensee Function attendance
6. Top Traders Dinner attendance

Points redemption is easy and definitely rewarding. From sunglasses to LCD TV's the rewards are huge!

Final Say
It is very good to see such a positive initiative being taken to stimulate a positive members network, however it is disappointing that the blogsite is not fully functional before the announcement was made. We were equally disappointed when expressions of interest in BBX affiliate code was asked of us, but nothing eventuated. We hold great hopes for this program and look forward to seeing it up and running. For more information please the official blog site when it is up and running. I have observed members who are not serious about remaining in the network. They tend to pay their yearly Admin fee on a monthly basis and often complain about those fees. We joined the network in 2006. We made a firm commitment to give it our all for at least 12 months. We opted to pay the yearly fee in one hit. This left us to FOCUS on SALES and business SYSTEMS rather that small monthly expense. I won't lie to you - we found the first 12 months difficult (our trade sales were far too high and our cash flow was too tight). We almost opted out - but we hung in there and figured out how to control the trade sales without losing customers or cheating. Every business is different and needs to think outside the box. We asked lots of questions and got to know lots of members. We really listened to the successful members to find out what works and what doesn't. We eventually solved the excessive BBX sales/cash flow problem by registering a second business name and splitting our business activities (A decision which later helped us in many ways). The products that had a higher cost of sales are now being sold through our NON BBX member (thus giving us the control we needed). Now we sell Full Page Web Advertising in our Infotek3000 Business Directory. Sales are good and cash flow is good. Balance has been restored - And we still pay our yearly Admin fee once a year!

That sounds fair enough, BUT what is an acceptable time limit or amount? Who decides? Why can't the BUYER control this part of the business? After all - the buyer may be making the decision to purchase a particular product or service in order to claim a tax benefit in that quarter. Also - these delayed sales transactions may be open to fraud or error - so how can it be better managed?

Example:-
SUPPLIERS NAME: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
SUPPLIERS NUMBER: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
DESCRIPTION: WebPOS- MEALS AT XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX FROM 16.2.10, (4½ months late)
REFERENCE: XXXXXXXXXXXX

Bad for the Buyer - Look at this from the buyers perspective. It can throw out the buyers bookkeeping, BBX balance estimate, budgeting, and even the buyers tax planning. I am talking about transactions which are processed months after the actual transaction(s) occurred.

How about this? I would like to see a system implemented, which reduces the incidence of late transactions, accumulated transactions, and bundled transactions from getting too large or going unprocessed for too long. I believe ONE month (or even End of Month) should be AMPLE time for the supplier to process their BBX SALES transactions. What do you think? Has this happened to you? The example shows a transaction taking 4½ months to be processed. It is difficult to confirm the accuracy and legitimacy of a transaction like that. I would not keep a docket in my wallet for 4½ months. Sometimes the supplier does not even issue a docket. One can only speculate as to why? A buyer should not be placed into a position whereby they need to prove that a transaction did or did not occur and that the amount is correct. The transaction should be processed within a REASONABLE amount of time. I see this flaw in the system could even be abused or scammed with fraudulent claims or fraudulent amounts or additional products or services being falsely claimed, with the buyer often having no proof of purchase. Even if a docket is given on the day of the transaction - it is often summarized (with no itemization) to say something like "food". Also - who keeps a receipt like FOOD in their wallet for 4½ months anyway? I don't.

Can something be done to curb overdue batch processing of BBX transactions? Is anything being done to curb this? BUYERS ARE NOT READING THE TERMS OF SALE.

I stipulate that my current auction is PICK UP ONLY - NO EXCEPTIONS in COFFS HARBOUR NSW. Buyers are either not reading this, or ignoring this. Example: A $6 Salt & Pepper Shaker sold in Coffs Harbour NSW with the buyer living in Perth WA. My time and the cost of postage is greater than the value of the sold item so I am quite justified in asking for a PICKUP ONLY arrangement on the auction site. When a sale occurs - if a delivery is required by the buyer - it places me in the terrible situation of declining to post the item as stipulated in the terms (this annoys the buyer) or posting the item (which wastes my time) or getting BBX to reverse the transaction and this is a waste of BBX's time. This problem has occurred far too often to be a co-incidence and therefore needs addressing.

Do you think BBX Auctions should include SELLING OPTIONS such a REGION BASED Auction or Australia wide for example? And how about a TERMS & CONDITIONS box that stands out? It would also be great if buyers could FILTER more search criteria than simply finding a category listing. How about a search for all auction items sold in an electorate or in a particular town or C.O.D. or Free Delivery etc etc etc??? We registered a new business name and then shifted the high demand product away from our current BBX Member and onto the new business which is a BBX non member. The BBX Member now offers Internet Advertising and Email Banners on Full Trade. If our clients want business cards they must contact the New Business and pay cash. Now that we have effectively split the business in two we can now do the occasional repeat order of the old product as a discretionery sale for our small repeat bbx customers without legally being in the wrong with BBX management or hurting our cashflow. This is a very sensible approach to the high demand problem we faced on a daily basis for over 12 months.

The purchase was made through a Telstra Dealer who is also a BBX member. He charged us BBX$600 for the phone. A couple of days later we were talking with another Telstra mobile phone dealer in another town. We found out that we could have had the exact same phone on the exact same plan for $0. If that's the case I would have rathered spent my BBX$ on mobile phone accessories. Should that member be reprimanded or booted out of the BBX system? Do you consider the BBX member has used "fair play" or "foul play"?

This practice can hurt smaller members business. 100% trade should be limited to a "standard order" only. E.g. We sell business cards. A standard order is 1000 cards on full trade. We want to curb excessive BBX orders by imposing a 50% Trade + 50% cash component on all 2000+ card orders. This should reduce demand for excessive orders whilst meeting the needs of the vast majority of BBX members. We have observed members being rude, evasive, applying strict terms or limits & sharply raising prices in order to curb large orders withing the current rules. They seem to get away with this by saying nothing. Everybody knows it goes on, so when will Head Office acknowledge this problem and endorse the fair traders. Any comments?

It does NOT tell me how that member is currently feeling about his or her BBX trading position at the moment. Eg. We would like to focus on Buying from other members at the moment. We are up for a large tax bill unless we spend up big on BBX$ Tax Deductions for the month. I would like to be able to add a "mood avatar" which represents me as currently being a "Keen BBX Shopper". Likewise when I am shopping around for BBX member products and services, I want to know in advance that the member is a keen supplier at the moment.
