TWO Manic Mondays to catch up on!

2026-10-16T11:13:14.072-04:00

I apologize! I sometimes neglect the BLOG because it cannot be accessed from my phone and I have to pull out the laptop. I'm sorry, I'll try to do better!

Here are 2 Manic Monday podcast episodes. Both are quite short as I'm in transitioning mode getting ready to trek south and trying to decide what to bring with me while trying to complete home improvement projects that need to get done before winter.

Cheers!

Magical Bookmarks! with MGT Digital

2026-10-06T21:21:32.250-04:00

Hello crafty people!

You might be underwhelmed at the idea of a bookmark, but these bookmarks are MAGICAL and created with the Dark Fantasy Collection by MGT Digital.

These bookmarks will NOT fall out of your book!

These digital papers are from the MGT Digital Dark Fantasy Collection - Fall Extension Kit over on Etsy.

It's a pretty simple project, but of course I wanted to make more than one and then I had to custom build a marauder's map for the final one! Haha

So, the video is nearly 20 minutes, but it's totally fun so enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, now GO! Get your craft on!

MGT Team Project: Decoupaged Wooden Tissue Box

2026-09-18T15:29:34.846-04:00

Hello and to the blog!

This project is my very first creation with a new team. My Grandmother's Teacups (MGT) designs by Tracy. The shop is on Etsy. MGT Printable Treasure

You can use my code for 30% off! MGTBECKY

Here's the wooden tissue box that I decoupaged with the paper from the Blue Hydrangea collection.

I'll walk you through the steps and at the end is a link to a YouTube video that explains it all!

I picked up a wooden tissue box from a local thrift store: Lucky Finds Thrift Store in Rochester, NH

I used a fine grain sandpaper to rough up the outside of the box and remove the old decals.

Next, I painted the sides with a periwinkle acrylic paint that matched the hydrangea paper design.

When the paint is dry, I used Maker's Magic to apply the Hydrangea paper to the top of the box. I covered the paper while wet with clear plastic and used a brayer roller to make sure it stayed flat and without bubbles or wrinkles.

Using a blade tool, I cut out the tissue hole and sanded all edges. I inked the edges with a matching pigment ink and heat set it with an embossing gun and then sealed the entire project with Maker's Magic.

Here's the video!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend.

I hope you craft something beautiful today.

Manic Monday from Aug 17, 2026

2026-08-20T22:14:41.552-04:00

Hello crafty people!

It's been a busy week. Just when I thought I was going to get those new handmade journals started, things have shifted to my paintings. It's very exciting, I sold a piece to a woman who now has 4 (FOUR) of my original works. Yay! I'm blessed. The art hanging at the Water District just about used up everything I have completed and on hand, so I've got a few canvases on the table to finish up details and add hanging gear.

Here's the latest Manic Monday podcast episode.

Ack! It's already Thursday! I'm looking for my next adventure, how about you?

Have a fabulous weekend and make some art!
