BCET Bloggers: Wassup??

all right...its been quite some time...wonder what the bcet bloggers were upto all this while....??
so what were the BCET bloggers doing all this time...lets recaptulate:
BCET Bloggers were as usual blogging away...writing their experiences, sharing their thoughts...and like i always say, making themselves heard.
Then came the most noteworthy event in the BCET Bloggers calender for '09. It was the Bloggers Workshop held on 31st October, in association with webreps
The workshop was the first of its kind in India...and needless to say, BCET is proud of the fact that it happened in its campus. The workshop was a huge success. The event saw mass participation from BCET as well as other colleges. The event was covered by the media. The workshop lead to mass awareness regarding blogging, microblogging and various other aspects of the internet world. The event was reported by several BCET Bloggers in their respective blogs.
A direct conscequence of the Workshop was that a lot of new, fresh bloggers bloomed in the BCET campus.
So now...we have a huge number of bloggers in the campus...BCET Bloggers is growing into a huge family...in the campus Blogging is the latest "in thing"...!!
BCETians are not just blogging...they are microblogging as well. Twitter has a number of tweeps from BCET who share their thoughts and blog contents on the web via twitter. The internet mania has sure caught on with the people out here.

Blogging/Microblogging is fun...its interactive...at times its enlightening (at times!!!)...its basically the best way to blabber on n on n on...without a care or worry in the world...

hmm... should i start at a serious note?
It is 3:36 am (0336 hours) and I am still awake... so is Sayani (link).. and what we doing?
We are tweeting!! tweeting!

what exactly have we been doing?
let me start from the history....

BCET Bloggers is a concept... again an initiative with roots here in Abhibyakti (1,2) now turned into a blog (link)...
and I wish to popularize this blog, get in more traffic.
Getting in more traffic would mean getting more traffic for the BCET bloggers whose blog links have been given there with their pictures...
We wish to get attention, simple... by putting some quality posts up which all will enjoy reading.
We may proceed on with this in form of blogger camp, workshops where SEO tips may be given... or simply this may invigorate the blogger enough to take up blogging as profession...or web design and the options have no end. We wish to promote Blogging in our region.
I feel these days healthy competition is the key to excellence.. :P
I am sure this will spread like wild fire..among BCET and we will be able to showcase the writing, designing talents of BCET. or someone may simply blog about his extracurriculars in his blog..
This in turn will create a brand for BCET itself..

cutting the theory down.... after having made the blog, Avii created a twitter account. I linked the feeds of all the BCET blogger. Whenever they post something to their blog, it will get updated in tweets (via twitterfeed).
We (@sahaanirban and @sayani_m) tweeted the id of bcetbloggers... (@bcetbloggers) and mentioned all the bcet tweeps... while we tagged all tweets #bcetbloggers. and we have been doing this like mad! @souvickmazumder, @avii13 helped us in the beginning! now that the twitter is getting automatically updated with the feed... we are enjoying the sights... Deep got some 20 clicks in the first few minutes..and we are enjoying it!

anyway... its 3:52 am... and I NEED to sleep...

The concept of blogging has really caught up with BCETians. And why not? It is the best way to be heard...the only way we can be saved from being a part of the "madding crowd's ignoble strife"...!! Its our way of standing out in a crowd of tech crazy engineers mugging up their semester syllabus. Oh! Please don't get me wrong! Its not that we've quit mugging...its just that we've started blogging!! So if you are a blogger and you are not yet featured here, do register yourself...and if you are already here, make sure this blog gets traffic...you see, that's one way we can inspire others to follow in our footsteps and join us in our noble cause....i.e. to blog!
